Cool game...but the real question is what audio books are you narrating
The gameplay is as smooth as Mr. Ruiz’s reviewing voice.
I was listening so closely but the pure quality of the voice distracted me from actually hearing any words.
Oh wow, what a smooth voice as he describes two game mechanics that are individually smooth but together slow.
The writing style: what?

Love the poetry of this review, coupled with that voice was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
I wasn't planning on playing this game as I'm terrible at shooters, but it's nice to see the differentiation between Sebastian's review and how much KC talked about this game in previews.
Sebastian Ruiz's voice is like the human incarnation of an extremely convincing AI voice. I'm fascinated by it, so much so that I find myself wondering what it is about his syntax and pronunciation that makes it so, how he grew up and was educated... and I stop paying attention to what he's saying. hahaha

The overall look is really nice but the substance doesn’t sound substantial.
I personally really enjoy the gameplay. It's something to pick up and play a few minutes here or there. Puts you in a flow state and it's pretty chill, really smooth, and the guns and skating both feel great.
Great game! Love the action/combo aspect, wish there was some customization of Kara but maybe I’m missing that option somewhere.
Nope. No customization. That would've been a cool reward foe completing side tasks. Closest we get is the black outfit in Out For Blood.
It's been getting pretty good reviews elsewhere so is probably worth checking out even if this review seemed a little negative.
The voice of a God.
Watching videos and listening to this review give me the impression that the core feel of the game is fun, but it never evolves and gets boring fast unless you are REALLY into highscore grinding.

I feel like I'm watching some kind of bizarre reading from a Ken Burns Civil War documentary. The video should have opened with "My dear Henrietta..."
I just want a decent, single player oriented, Rollerball title. Or at least a modernised Speedball.

Narrator with awesome voice: The narrative is excellent and the gameplay is SMOOTH like a fresh cup of Minnesota coffee, perfect for your get up and go. If you ain't playing, you're missing out.

@absurdrhino I did, it was good, but I didn't love it. It wasn't quite full on Tony Hawk which I guess I was kind of after from it, I felt I never got to grips with the tricks in the same way. Still fun though, definitely worth a punt if it's on sale (I think I got it in a Humble Bundle)

Nice review in terms of analysis, but why is almost the whole thing in passive voice? Odd style choice, you'd think the editors would pick up on that.

If I was Keith David's agent, I'd be booking him all the voice-acting gigs I could before Sebastian Ruiz takes them all - check out the larynx on this guy! Shame about this game not fleshing out a cool concept
Man oh man I disagree with the criticisms in this review. I feel like the skating and shooting feed into each other perfectly, and the levels don't really need much variation since the open spaces are necessary for the combat to work

This looks like jet set radio future except the character actually has a gun instead of spray paint and hope.
i like this channel's content a lot but so many of the points made just arent true. skating and shooting in the game are mixed expertly and they definitely dont feel clunky or tend to overshadow the other, theyre equally refined and this game is truly unique, nothing quite like it out there so if you wanna give this a shot - please do so

That voice
I've noticed a trend that the "Review in 3 Minutes" line of videos are consistently pessimistic the majority of the time. Hell, even more so than Zero Punctuation, but there's at least comedy in that. Instead the reviews always feel so down and depressing.

I agree. Whether it be my review or skillup's review, the only real way to find out is to try the game for yourself
