The white paint marking the road boundaries & lines has started fading & peeling off after the long rains started. Soon there will be no white markings on the road. Somebody remind the governor to facilitate new paint works as soon as the rains subside to retain the beauty of those roads & sidewalks.

No, sorry lady, the city is not ready yet. The city dwellers are throwing empty plastic water bottles at the round-about, as I saw. They must stop that nasty habit. The municipal market cannot be described as clean. We see the muddy floors, broken pavements, unpainted walls, drainage channels with rubbish. How can we say the market is ready? Those vendors who put produce on the ground, outside the market, are they paying taxes? Why do they not stalls inside the market?

I was born in the USA. After genealogical testing (DNA), I've learned that my lineage is traced to the Luhya tribe / people native to western Kenya. I've scheduled an upcoming trip to Nairobi, Kenya. However, the Luhya tribe is divided into 20 culturally and linguistically related tribes. My lineage cannot be traced more specific; any suggestions for when I visit Nairobi and travel to Kisume in western Kenya to visit ethnic groups of Luhya descent? Any suggestions? Do you feel I will be welcomed? This is like a home coming after many generations.

@@TheRasvicVictor; Asante Sana.I again reviewed my ancestral chart. My ancestor(s) was Luhya in Kenya and lived around the year 1900 A.D., my chart dates form year 1625 A.D. The researchers determine this to be 99% accurate from Chromosome 1,3,4,9,14,15,18. According to researchers there was a SNPs that matched the people group LWK. The researchers determined this to be 99% statistically accurate. There is also a chromosome match with Esan in Nigeria that lived around the year 1800 A.D. that matched the people group ESN. This could have resulted from intermingling and shows up in my chromosomes, but, I am overwhelmingly of Luhya ancestry according to my DNA. I'm determined to find my origin and return there after many generations. Victor, You mention Luyah towns, but, are there still villages in or around kakamega and Mumias. If so, would I be allowed to visit and or talk to the Elders? Are there accommodations available in villages? Thank you for the information; it is most helpful and eye opening.

Because the people running the country have centralized everything around Nairobi. Look at state of Mombasa, that should be a cape town or Durban standards. Kenya's only tourism attraction is wild animals. People don't go to Cape town for wild animals, but for the beauty. Mombasa, Malindi, Lamu, Kisumu, Homabay, these are places that should have been built and developed to a vibrant, touristic places. But the State owners Mount Kenya Mafia in Nairobi only think about stealing our money and building their business empires around locality near to their people.

We desperately need a New government free from these Mt.Kenya Cockroaches. A leader who will develop the tourism & Manufacturing industries in Other regions. Technically Kisumu & Mombasa should be the the main Industrial Hubs in Kenya not Thika. Not even Nairobi, Nairobi was designed to be an administrative hub. I have not seen much change. I would have expected alot more by now. It still remains a one major street small triangular cbd. The CBD goes to sleep at 6.30 pm and is not that robust. Narrow streets, old buildings, with lands neighbouring the CBD totally under utilized.

None of these CZcamsrs capture kisumu during the week days. They go there during Sunday's . Repeat the same streets then post. The only CZcamsr who captured Kisumu in detail is Antony Chantry

I have the genealogy chart and DNA analysis provided by a very reputable company that shows Luhya decent. I was born in the USA, but, have never felt home here. I spent a month in Egypt before Covid19 and felt a constant yearning to visit Kenya. I don't understand this either. I have a trip scheduled and am looking forward to visiting some Luhya tribes in Kisumu, Kenya. Any advice you extend will be greatly appreciated. I'm certainly looking forward to this travel experience.

@@hillaryjones5069 I again reviewed my ancestral chart.

That was a nice tour around Kisumu great job on the video, but I think you should have given us some background information of areas you were visiting rather than, having long shots of you on the move with no narration having us stare on the road for long. I reside in Kisumu and there is a lot to tell about this beautiful city.

All those good roads were constructed waaay long before the Handshake....during the grand coalition government between Kinaki and Raila. The beautification is the governor's initiatives. Handshake however has brought the new Convention Centre, port revival, Brewery plant renovation as well as other developments.
