Thank you for elaborating. I am happy you are picking the brains of those who dont want to speak on youtube. In a way you are giving them a voice on this platform. I can see why they dont want to, all the haters and clout chasers are too taxing.
After watching your video I tried it in a sparring. I take many punches in the face before I execute it and my back is aching because I 'm not used to roll. I thought it was but actually it was a cool technique. My question right now is, does it work also against a southpaw?
@das6564: GREAT question! 1) The shoulder roll puts you in retreat. Slight, but it does. The brush puts me INSIDE and in position to hook to the body. 2) By "brushing to the outside, it makes it easy to pivot out 3) By folding, I can start my body attack with my left hook as I weave out. The basic method is for those who are gun shy. If you can read punches, you can take chances.
@cbeaudry4646: There really is nothing to talk about with them lol. They have their own kind and know who they cater to! They cater to the hobbyist who have more a racial agenda than real martial arts.
The "brawler's roll" you taught us a few years ago has driven a few sparring partners crazy

They are! I never knew how much control the emotions had on the marketing of garbage.
James Tony had the best Philly shell. He used it like no other
I agree!
Good stuff. This move was used a lot by James Toney.
Thanks for this advance Philly Shell Techniques.

Not as well. Many people worry about southpaws! They should worry about orthodox! They line up like you do with your power hand.
Nice
Is the philly shell a style that a shorter stockier fighter should use.
Sure!
But what is the advantage of the advanced one? I can see it, but would love more details.
