Red Dead became a Liberty City bestseller in 1986, and sold two million copies before his death at age 101. John Marston Jr. was the last living retired American outlaw he survived by his sons John Marston III and Arthur Marston.

To think that he potentially passed away in a comfy suburban home with a wife, kids, grandkids, modern technology (for the time), a car, etc. feels very surreal. Such a far cry from roughing it in the campsites with the Van Der Linde gang the first couple years of his life. He would have seen so many advancements in technology but also tumultuous periods. The World Wars (of which he would have been military age during the first one), The 1918 Flu Pandemic, Prohibition, The Depression, the advent of the atomic bomb and subsequent Cold War, The Korean War, Vietnam War, moon landings, and so on... So many eras of music to experience as well. I wonder what he'd think of each of them.

If so, then there’s a 90% chance he didn’t make it out of the trenches alive. One of the worst bloodbaths in history. A stalemate that lasted most of the war, and both sides just kept pouring young men in to replace the dead, until most of that generation had been killed. The only good thing about WW2 was that both sides agreed it shouldn’t be fought like WW1 was. Of course, they found other ways to be barbarous.
@@brianbommarito3376he couldn't have been to wwI
@@mademade9604yes he could cause jack marston was 19 in 1914 and ww1 started in 1919 so what the hell are you talking about
@@HITMAN-Gang I'm saying that
it's not about teh timeline. Jack can't be drafted because the government doesn't know he exists. He has no birth certificate or any legal document to his name because he was born in a camp. He's a ghost, and have no way to draft him.
@@HITMAN-Gang they can't just draft a random ass man with no documents
Jack's book in GTA V is an easter egg, nothing more
Exactly Red Dead and GTA are set in completely different universes
I have my headcanon that if Jack watched Star Wars Return of the Jedi. He would have cried seeing parallel between him and his father like Luke and Darth Vader
Jack witnessed Grove St
Did y’all know when u pick your parents in gta online u can find John marston💯
Only if your signed up to rockstar social club
And that’s definitely not canon
It would be cool if it was jack marston, could probably make it canon too
@@gabrielremal2458 Yes, would make more sense if it was Jack
Yeah but it makes your online character look extremely ugly
GTA and red dead are in the same universe cuz in cayo perico heist there's a photo of the German family that Arthur helps
Jack was alive when the events of GTA san andreas took place
Glad he got to live a long and happy life when nobody else did
He might have but we don’t know. This video is fiction.
@@LamedvavnikReally?!
Long✅
Happy❌
Deserves his own game
Imagine if the money was never taken in Blackwater, but Jack knew exactly where it was. And on his death bed, he gives the exact location and details as to where it is to his grandkids.
Jack fought at Verdun and lived to tell about it. Came home to nothing and was tough enough to make a life for himself and live well into his 90's. He named his first son Arthur. That's my fan fic.
I heard he had a grandson named James Marsdon, who would go on to voice his grandfather in the ending of the video game "Red Dead Redemption"
dawg he was born in the wild west n almost made it to modernity
To live from mud and gunslingers in the end of the western frontier to watching star wars at the movie theater is wild
Jack could've lived long enough to play rdr1
Rdr 1 came out in 2010
Jack would be 100 by 1995
Irl most men start to die off during their 70s
That book in gta 5 is LITERALLY just an easter egg.
exactly. Gta and rdr are not the same universe, RDR 1 and 2 make many references to real world places and things that don't exist in GTA.
@@Endi7b what about Trevor's great great grandfather? You find him in the epilogue of rdr2
@@misterfister940who is it?
@@loompsterproductions it's the dude that you beat up because he's harassing one of the farm hands
@@misterfister940Easter egg.
Trevor is Canadian, not murican.
There are also some street names in GTA named off different areas in the first red dead map
Makes me miss my grandma and my great uncle. They remember these days and I grew up listening to their stories all the time. Jack Marston is such a great character, cuz he got to see the world evolve around him. Hope we get a game of him someday, hear his story more!
But how do we know this?is there somenthing in the games that imply these or the writers said it?
Nope. Guy got it from Reddit fanfic 😂
As a former head admin of the Red Dead Wiki, I'd just like to point out that your citation of the Red Dead Wiki is completely false, the claim that Jack died of heart disease in the 1990's comes from the Historica Wiki, which is home to nothing but fan fiction.
If he died in 1996, he could’ve gone to a Korn concert
Red Dead became a Liberty City bestseller in 1986, and sold two million copies before his death at age 101. John Marston Jr. was the last living retired American outlaw he survived by his sons John Marston III and Arthur Marston.
We need an RDR3 with him as a protagonist, set in the 1920s-30s in a fictional town and rural areas somewhere in Missouri or Michigan, having cars and a “modern” city but also rural areas with horses, exploration and animals would fit RDR3 very well
Bro lived through cowboys and the wild west and lived to see hammertime
Man was listening to AIC in his rocking chaif
Jack had one hell of an interesting life.
We don’t know what kind of a life he lived after 1914, anything saying when he lived to is made up by fans
It’ll make sense seeing jack loves reading & stuff
Imagine Jack got killed during one of Michael and Trevor’s robberies in the Midwest 💀
I could believe it. Trevor likes to bully and kill people at their weak points, as he did with Johnny. So why not another protagonist.
the fact that he lived through the wild west, both world wars, the great depression, korea, got to hear gangster rap for the first time and got to see star wars is amazing
I'm just really happy he lived that long, he's one of my favourite characters
Imagine Jack in his 70's just vibing out to Yellow Submarine
Jack had so much happen in the first 19 years of his life only to be left with nothing when finally reaching an adult.
At least he died on old age, most of the van der linde gang don't have that gift 😂
Would love a game that follows his life afterwards where you have to go off to the different wars and fight and manage the ranch
The book writing is supported by the fact he was always reading too
If anyone’s watched 1923 (Yellowstone prequel) Spencer was born the same year as Jack Marston, I could see Jack exploring the world, being a big game hunter, possibly a WW1 veteran
Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption are not in the same world. That book is just an easter egg.
Jack marathon is the saddest character, at 16 he lost his father and then his mother at 19. At 19 your still a really young teenager, maybe even still a kid.
My headcanon is since john Marston can be your father in gta online, its actually jack and the names just off, so my character is the third Marston
