I have had to restart my laptop over again and then I had to repair my sims 4 game. I only have one household.

These tips along with the simulation lag fix mod and the simulation lag unclogger mod saved my game. I don’t have the fastest computer and my loading screens were taking over 10 minutes, so my Sims would never leave the house. Now my loading time is almost cut in half thanks to this 💕 How often should we be deleting the Sims 4 cache?
Ahhh, such great news, friend! Glad to hear that! Well, you don't need to do it pretty often, I highly suggest deleting cache after updating your game & after getting rid of broken mods/cc. You can obviously delete it whenever you feel like your game is a lil bit laggier than usual! Hope you have a nice day! 🥰❤️

THANK YOU my game has been so laggy!!! I couldn't even get to the gallery even with strong wifi - I had to close my game 6 times!! Ima try and just save some houses/households that I don't use to my library and delete their games. I don't usually feel like doing it but ig I should, thx for reminding me :)

Tysm! This really works & I didn’t even have to do much! Deleted broken cc & some maxi homes then went completely offline switched to laptop mode! My game is running sooo much faster! This works! ❤️

Good advises. It's always worth it to move as much as your data to your secondary drive(s) as possible. Keep your programs and application separate from your data.
A nice side effect is that, if you need to reformat and reinstall your OS, your data are safe on that other drive.
Your desktop is NOT a storage area, it should be reserved to your most used shortcuts, not complete files.
Second that. I was unlucky enough to get a very weird virus on my gaming PC. Had to get Windows newly set up on another drive to fix it. I was basically able to redownload the gaming clients and start playing again as if nothing happened because I've always installed my games on other drives.
omg you're a life saver. I was completely lost on why my game was lagging so bad, but after watching this I checked my library and for some reason it had a bunch of the default buildings and characters saved? I deleted them and now my game is running much smoother, thank you!

I did all of these amazing tips. Please make sure, as well, that your graphics card is okay. Mine was completely disabled (idk how that happened still) so just make sure that you check that, too.

06:54 If you need permission another way to bypass this is by going into the folders themselves and delete everything that's in there. Then go back to that same folder and now you can delete it. If the folder had nothing in it then simply opening it, going back, and deleting the folder will do the trick.

Things I'd love to see in Dine Out.
1.) Longer hours of operation without the workers getting tired. I'd love to have longer restaurant gameplay.
2.) A gradual closing process. I hate how the restaurant just shuts down and customers don't get to finish their meals and workers don't clean up the mess for closing
3.) The glitch in the workers when you accidentally remove a requirement to build the restaurant. When you do that the workers are all removed and you'd have to re hire sims, re do their training, experience & pay. Super frustrating having to constantly start over!
4.) More tables and chair options
5.) More CHEFS and HOSTS!!!!

I haven't really done anything, my game were so laggy before but somehow today it's so smooth, I just deleted like 3 household that i didn't use, well I'm glad i don't have to do much work now, i even changed the graphic settings from low to medium, it's still a bit laggy but acceptable tho

I have done everything to make my game work properly. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, done all the instructions but when I go back to the game, the audio keeps skipping, repeating like a scratched CD.
also, I have tried freeing up space but it seems as if the issue is that since the sims 4 is such a big game, it seems like that's the reason why my storage space is full. I have cleared all I could and the red bar is still there.
Hello there! Sorry to hear that, here are some tips that may help:
You can try to reset your EA folder and then place only updated versions for your mods, as shown in here: czcams.com/video/-pCFvTcqQnQ/video.html
Keep in mind that you should not delete the old EA folder in order to copy all of your saves, tray, screenshots & cc and paste those into your newly generated EA folder.
The other alternative would be scanning your Mods folder by using this BE mod & deleting your files that show up in your report list (here's a helpful tutorial: czcams.com/video/WncYhAAtKcM/video.html)
Last but not least, if you haven't tried this already, there's also the 50/50 method that allows you to determine the problematic cc: czcams.com/video/kp_fdyXQCfE/video.html

hey! i use EA desktop and not origins, where can i find the cache folder?
Does deleting save files help or just deleting households from saved games? I want to keep some of my households and lots but might just save them to my library so I can add them to my current save files that I actually use now

I have no houses and when i try to make one it literally just sits there and loads, it doesn’t do anything but load, it lets me make the characters and everything but when i try to save and play it just loads and i can’t do anything but wait, it’s annoying, what can i do to fix that?
Do you use mods/cc in your game? If so, did you make sure to update all of your mods after the 25th of February update? If you didn't, you can follow these steps:
Rename your Electronic Arts folder in 'Electronic Arts OLD' and make a copy of this 'Electronic Arts OLD' folder & paste it on your Desktop, just to have a backup of your save files (do not delete this folder, you'll need it later on!). If you happen to use an antivirus, please try to add an exception for both your Sims 4 & Origin programs, as well as for the following websites: thesims.com & origin.com. Make sure to allow both Sims 4 & Origin within your firewall.
Repair your game through Origin and then try to launch it and see if it works. If so, go to Game Options > Other > enable cc, mods and script mods. You can now fully exit your game, go to your Documents folder and a new EA folder should show up. Repair your game through Origin (go to Game Library > right click on Sims > Repair). Once this process is completed, you're free to copy your Saves, Tray and Screenshots files from your old Saves, Tray and Screenshots folders to your new Saves, Tray and Screenshots folders (located in your new EA folder). Launch your game and check if everything works properly. If so, you can copy your old cc from your old Mods folder to the newly generated Mods folder (in small batches!!) and make sure to open your game every single time you paste those just to make sure that everything works properly. If you still encounter this issue, please try to identify the problematic cc and remove it from your Mods folder. Btw, you should place your cc into your main Mods folder, do not use subfolders as some cc might not show up in the game. As far as mods go, make sure to download once again the updated versions for your mods (especially if you're using Adult mods!), extract them, copy and paste those files in your new Mods folder. Open your game and check if your issue is fixed.

All I did was the going off-line thing and everything runs perfectly I spent 2 1/2 days taking out my putting mods in getting tricked that it works but then after 20 minutes and start messing up now I have like almost every mod I’ve had running and it’s running smoothly

So if I play multiple households & I delete one of the previous saved households, I lose them entirely?
No no no, you just have to delete households that you don't use on a regular basis and that you're okay with deleting if that makes any sense! Don't delete your currently played households because that will result in losing your families! You just need to delete those families that you don't really use to free up some space on your computer!
turn off that post-processing shader will help a lot. i got 230FPS while turning that off and while i turn that on, it stuck at 10FPS.

Whenever I load my game it moves si smoothly in CAS and on the Main Menu. But when I load a household with a lot of sims , my game will start to lag. When I load my game with one sim with no house it’s so smooth and when I put cc in a house it lags badly.
You can also try to delete some items from your Sims' inventories, remove some build & buy objects that make your game run slow (such as fountains, mirrors and any other animated items). Besides that, please try to also take a look at this: czcams.com/video/42oaMdbt1TU/video.html

Does anyone else played the game smoothly but once you enter the creative sims and stayed for more than 20 minutes it stop. I'm trying to figure what's the problem is but there's no tutorial on troubleshooting those. I only have the base game and dwld a few cc, even when I don't have any cc it still stopped.

Please help! When i open Modify in CAS it just gets stuck like there’s no taskbar, nothing. Only the game options and gallery on top right but when i click them, they don’t work😔 i can only turn my sim but not change anything at all! What should i do, how can i fix it please help
Have you also tried to press at the same time (while in CAS) : CTRL+ shift + c and enter 'cas.fulleditmode' ?
You can alternatively click on a mirror/dresser to change your Sim's outfits.
If you use MCCC, you can also select any of your Sims > MC Command Center > CAS (in order to change your Sim's outfits)

Okay, so I play the legacy sims.. and I just wanna know if this would work for it as well.? I wanna just get the normal sims but I have no clue if my laptop could even run the sims.. and having mods and cc makes it worse.

Hello again. No matter how much I searched with my brother, we couldn't find the program data folder. Those yellow files containing the Sims caches are nowhere to be found. My brother said that we do not have the Origin program. Does it have anything to do with this? Thank you very much.
My game is not laggy it just freezes out of nowhere. To be exact it freezes for like 10 sec goes back to normal then repeat. I dont have alot of things on it cuz i just downloded it. Im so confused!!!
Do you use script mods & cc? If so, have you updated your script mods?
You could also try to disable online features in your Game Settings & see if it makes a difference

Ayy, so glad you enjoyed my tips! Theoretically, you should put your cc in your Documents folder located on your D disk. Try that & see if those show up. If not, you can try to add those to your old one.

if i move my documents ( which has my mods and cc ) to my D drive, will everything still work fine? i'm worried about moving my cc to my other drive while my sims and origin are installed in my c drive.
Hello there! In my case, despite the fact that I moved my Docs folder to the D drive, the game auto-generated a new EA folder in my Docs folder (located on my C drive) and I think that's the only location that the game recognizes, so if you're running low on storage, an ideal thing would be to at least install TS4 on the drive that has plenty of space/ on an external SSD/HDD and as far as the Documents/EA/TS4 folder goes, the latter should stay in its original location (C:\Documents). If you choose to change your location, you will still find all of your mods and saves in your D drive, but your game might not see your mods & cc! Hope it all makes sense!!

I Have issue that when I want to create sim the screen is all grey and I have to restart computer to turn sims off
did not really work for me 😭😭😭😭 I have great graphic card, my CPU is good enough, i have enough space and it still does not do much. how is that possible ? my Sims used to work great on 140 FPS for ALL the time and now it barely reaches that number, only if there is nothing going on in the game. please help

@@Dariellehello, so i reinstalled my entire windows, as i needed to do it, because i had things i did not use, and it just needed it, and now it seems to be better, even though i am not hitting 130-140 all the time, but it does hit most of the time, and seems like i was also having this before, so i guess its fixed now, thank you 😊

Do you keep laptop mode on or off? I know to help with glitches in hair people turn it off and back on
I personally don't keep it on, but if you're struggling with lag, you can give it a go and see if you notice a difference gameplay wise!
If you encounter hair glitches, you could try to redownload that particular cc and reinstall it into your game, hope it helps!!

i was able to clear my storage and my disc bar is blue and in the clear now… but for some reason when i click new game it doesn’t load the characters, it doesn’t even give me options to make characters. it’s frozen but the shadows are moving. i don’t know what to do, is this because of the lag or something else?
i cant click on anything else or even exit the game 😢
Here are some more tips that may help you fix your game:
First off, you can try to delete any script mods you have in your Mods folder (the ts4script files) and test the game out.
If that does not work, you can try to reset your EA folder and then place only updated versions for your mods, as shown in here: czcams.com/video/-pCFvTcqQnQ/video.html
Keep in mind that you should not delete the old EA folder in order to copy all of your saves, tray, screenshots & cc and paste those into your newly generated EA folder.
The other alternative would be scanning your Mods folder by using this BE mod & deleting your files that show up in your report list (here's a helpful tutorial: czcams.com/video/WncYhAAtKcM/video.html)
Last but not least, if you haven't tried this already, there's also the 50/50 method that allows you to determine the problematic cc: czcams.com/video/kp_fdyXQCfE/video.html

@@lahnaslife7542 wait is something going on? I just got cottage living like 2 days ago but i havent been able to play much cause ever since i downloaded it, its insanely slow. Loading screen takes decades long, i can't do anything, and my sims just stand there and do nothing.
@@bella-co4vg honestly I think so because a lot of simmers are having problems with and without cc in game .. even the ones with high end PCs 😭
