- Big thanks to Hatcher Pass Polaris & Delta Motorsports for helping us get set up with transportation for summer & winter in Alaska.
Solar has been a bit of a learning curve and we still don't entirely know why it doesn't seem to be functioning right but we are working on figuring that out as well.
As always, huge thanks to all of our viewers and subscribers! We couldn't do it without you!!

Great job Becca Leonard
Get a good sled to put behind your snow machine for hauling stuff. The river will make a good highway when it freezes up!
I can't wait for snow to fly!!
We have a mule which is basically the same thing. It is invaluable getting around on our farm which is surrounded by thousands of acres of deep forest and a reservoir. Instead of bears and moose, we have mountain lions, bobcats, feral hogs and lots of snakes. A vehicle like this can save your life by getting you away quickly or give you a place for refuge to an extent. I love ours mainly because it crosses distance a lot faster than walking in places that vehicles can’t go.
Yes, I love being able to move around more where we can't drive. On some of the tighter trails I like to look back and see if we're getting chased at all but no luck yet. 😂
You will like the scandic. That's what we use as well.
Good to know! We are chomping at the bit for snow to fly so we can start using them.
Simple Living Alaska@SimpleLivingAlaska this husband and wife off grid living maybe asked them advice or help if they can
We love watching their channel! I think they just moved a good ways North of us but would enjoy meeting them for sure. They have been a big inspiration for us.
Nice on the new toy/tools. They definitely will come in handy for ya all.
He's in training but he is doing super well and actually kind of enjoying it. (Don't tell him I said that)
@@beccanlevisalaska lol it's all good. We have to learn new stuff all the time 🙂
A,ways look forward to your videos, enjoy following your journey 👏🏻
Thanks you!!
Great video!!
Thanks!
Always look for your new videos! Great new things you have for the property, especially the snow machines! Being able to get to medical help is always important. Are you building a wood shed, or is there already one on the property? I look forward to your next video, have a great week!
Yes, we will be hauling home the newborn on the snow machine unless we get lucky and can still drive in by then! We do have a big woodshed but frankly I think we are going to be cutting a lot more than it can hold by winter lol. The porches will probably end up with a decent firewood layer on them.
@@beccanlevisalaska I love watching all you are achieving on your new homestead. Can’t wait for the new addition of the baby as well. I had fertility issues as well, so glad you were able to achieve your goals! ❤️
Do you mind sharing what yall spent on the Polaris and Snowmachines?
The snowmachines were about 15k brand new and the polaris was 12k used if I remember right! We did sell the polaris and get a 4wheeler because we just weren't using it enough to justify how much it cost. The snowmachines have been 100% worth the price though!
