In this new 4k urban cycling video, join me for a mid-afternoon ride from Ortigas Center to Robinsons Magnolia on my Nakto e-bike. See how Friday afternoon traffic looks like and what it's like to cycle on EDSA's reinforced bike lane along Robinsons Galleria to P. Tuazon Blvd. in Cubao.
Learn how you can cycle alongside fast-moving traffic as safely as possible by observing proper road behavior and courtesy.
Filmed after 3:00 PM of June 24, 2022.

I stopped @12:06 to comment. The clarity of your video is awesome. Makes me want to get a camera too. Then you shared the name. Gopro. Where do you mount it to get that stability? Bought on Lazada or Shopee? Also I love your fill in commentary. You mentioned that usually use 2 to 3 mode for PAS. What is your average speed during those long commute rides?

I’ve tried different mounting options but eventually settled on the handlebar mount to get a clean, unobtrusive view of the road. On the other hand, my e-scooter rides were all shot from a chest mount. Try different options then take your pick. :)
Re: average speed, I go anywhere between 18-22 KPH; it’s not just the PAS, but it also depends on how fast I pedal, too. They go hand-in-hand.

Believe it or not, I gained my road confidence by riding my Xiaomi M365 scooter during the lockdown until riding it became second skin. 🙂 This, in turn, would eventually help me transition into riding my Nakto e-bike. But I hear you... everywhere you go here in the city seems to present a different set of challenges everytime. How do I do it? By practising humility, road courtesy, and kindness to other riders or motorists on the road. Watch my e-scooter adventures... you might pick up a lesson or two. Enjoy! 🙂
