Since the P1000 was recently discontinued, the choice is simpler now. eBay still has some but the price gouging has commenced.
Why was discontinued?

Very biased video - towards the P1000. You seem to be impressed by the range of the P1000 and little else.
No comparison now with the P1000 being discontinued unless you have disposable income to pay double the price.
Did the price increased over the information it's discontinuied?

You can still find refurbished and plain used for 1k.
