    This novel, max 25 km/h electric scooter weighs only 13.5 kg and its footprint is mere 45×40 cm when folded.
    Stigo gives you ultimate commuting freedom as well as smiles from people in the streets.

    Very nice bike indeed, I just found out about it. Street legal in the Netherlands, no helmet required (20-25kmph limit means no helmet requirement here) and apparently very easy to fold and take away with you using other transportation (car/train). Fairly expensive though (€1698/€1998). It seems to fold almost as fast as my Airwheel E6 Urban scooter and only slightly bulkier, but that one isn't street legal so not really comparable. Limited use as it only has a 20-40km range (seems fairly honest since my 36V 6A battery takes me about 17,5 km on different kinds of road, two high bridges included). Good job!

  • @Callsign-Blade_RunnerSG

    I’m a customer from Singapore. Stigo is a lovely scooter and with it’s cool design and space saving features, I had been stop by many passerby asking where to purchase it.
    Hopefully though, the next Generation of Stigo comes with suspensions as it can be very uncomfortable if the road is uneven and USB ports for charging of external speakers or mobile phones.

  • @flitsies
    @flitsies Před 10 lety

    This vehicle in the UK/EU you would have to register it as a motorcycle as it has no working pedals and it would have to carry insurance and road tax and the user would have to wear a fully compliant motorcycle helmet to remain legal.

    • @flitsies
      @flitsies Před 10 lety

      abdi1983 Never mind there are some great electric bicycles out there and there will be one that matches what you want to do, basically they are more or less as easy to use as this but with pedals to keep them legal.
      Just google or bing or whatever search engine you use for folding electric bikes or compact folding electric bikes EU legal.
      But for commuting you could do much worse than a kick scooter, get a decent one and you can actually use these on the pavement no law against it, except it is said you may have trouble with it if you try blasting through crowds with it, in other words use sense when riding on the pavement with it and you won't get bothered by the police.
      When you come across a busy crowded area walk with it, when the crowd thins out ride with care.
      Kick scooters are great fun and you can take them on public transport so long as they fold.
      But you can't have an electric scooter in the EU/UK children get away with electric scooters because the law would basically look an ass stopping a 5 year old child on an electric scooter toy, however put an adult on that same scooter and under the law it must be registered as a motorcycle, dumb yes but that is the law.
      However if you want to go down the road of registering an electric scooter it can be done but your insurance will probably be around £2/300 depending on your insurance record of course, not worth the effort.

    • @flitsies
      @flitsies Před 10 lety

      vintage stereo Actually it is an EU law which says that all electric bikes must have pedals that propel the vehicle along.
      There are many other things related to the law on electric bikes, so to be honest if you want to blame someone for once it has very little to do with the UK and is totally down to the EU.
      Just to clarify something also, you can't ride electric scooters either they are totally illegal under EU law so again nothing to do with the UK.
      As for the Brompton, it's just a bike like any other bike there are smaller folding bikes and larger ones but a none power bike it is.

    Nice, very nice, but I doubt you will be allow to ride inside a mall or airport.
    It would be better if it could be lighter & the wheels are a little bit bigger (diameter) coz it looks a bit unstable,
    I do own a Robin-M1 (self balancing personal transporter) & I can & have rode inside the mall or airport but the problem is it's weight - about 19 kgs
    If anyone can really come out with something about 10kg, easy to fold & carry & able to travel 20 km on a full charge, then it will be a sure winner.
    Of course other factors are important, eg. price, design or whatever.
    One of the best, so far, I think is Toyota Winglet but it too, has it's shortcomings, price too high & the range too short, most of all not for sale yet, LOL.
    Have a nice day

    • @Stigobike

      +Simon Forbes Hi Simon, Stigo is EU type approved and street legal, we are not sure about all the other countries and states.

    • @simonforbes2453
      @simonforbes2453 Před 8 lety

      No, under EU legislation, an electric bike has to be able to be moved entirely using pedals. This one isn't legal in Europe or the Uk or the USA Here's the EU, type approval specification: "Cycles with pedal assistance which are equipped with an auxiliary electric motor having a maximum continuous rated power of 0.25 kW, of which the output is progressively reduced and finally cut off as the vehicle reaches a speed of 25 km/h (16 mph) or if the cyclist stops pedaling."
      The fact is If you could just ride an electric scooter on the road (which is all the Stigo is) they'd be everywhere. But you can't. You have to register them as a moped and have a licence, helmet insurance etc. Pity, but there it is.

    • @Stigobike
      @Stigobike  Před 8 lety

      +Simon Forbes Stigo is not an electric bike and that's the difference. It is classified as a low-speed scooter/moped.

    • @simonforbes2453
      @simonforbes2453 Před 8 lety

      Nice try, but no. There's no such vehicle type approval category in the uk or Europe. All electric vehicles (other than mobility scooters) that don't fall under the deregulated electric bicycle category (which your's doesn't) have to be registered and, mot inspected and insured. Riders of two wheeled vehicles must also have a license for that classification of vehicle and also wear an approved crash helmet.
      If this were not so, there would be lots of people riding electric scooters in traffic like the Razor 300s, Pocket Mods and the dozens of other models of electric scooter, which exist, but there aren't are there? Because they would get stopped immediately by the police.

    • @umiseja
      @umiseja Před 7 lety

      Dear Simon - just correcting you a bit. Stigo is street legal in Europe because it has passed type approval process and is classified as L1e scooter. Razors and Pocket Mods have not passed this. But about requiring a helmet or registration - that's not an EU standard - that's up to specific countries. Yes, in UK it requires registration and driver's license. In Germany Stigo is selling 20 km/h version which doesn't require any of that. So license/registration requirements differ by country. But in terms of vehicle classification, Stigo is a street legal moped.
