Dude you should have 1M Subscribers. I am brand new to videography and Photography, and your videos are helping me so much. I am going to purchase the Canon R50 today, excited!
Thanks! I appreciate that.
Right on for this, I gained a lot of knowledge should of clicked on it a long time ago. I’m rocking with the 10mm - 18mm just wish there was something like it just with a slightly bigger aperture.
I still use the 10-18 as well and I do love it. If the aperture was fast this would be the best wide lens out there in my opinion but gotta work with what you got though. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@FulaanCreative For sure. I'll keep following you. Keep up the good work.
@@gigallthetime37 Thanks man!
Brooo thank you sooo much for these tips!! I really needed the knowledge because I’m starting fresh with my camera gear so I can get into real estate photography! Thank you so much for this video!!
You are welcome Frankie. Glad I could help!
Finally you tried my Tokina 11-16 mm, it is the Best now, specially if you use speed booster, it’s amazing.
Your video quality are underrated......
Thanks!
I have a Canon R10 and I got the tokina 11-16 DX II for it, while recording 4k at 11mm, f2.8 and focus on infinity, I got these red half-triangles on the top and bottom of the video. The lens was used but tested on another EF-mounted crop sensor canon and it showed nothing. So I recommend testing it before buying for R10👍 Great video as usual
Thanks for sharing. Is it from vignetting? I have never heard of red triangles before. Not sure what that is. I have used the 10-18mm on the r10 at 10mm without any vignetting or other issues. I wonder if there is a problem with that copy of the lens or if it the same with all the Tokina 11-16 lenses on the r10. Hope it gets resolved for you. Peace
I have no idea to be honest, probably has something to do with it. Also the workers of the store where I bought it from had never seen anything like it before but were guessing it might be because of vignetting. I sent an email to tokina about it but haven't gotten an answer yet.
For now I just returned the lens and decided to get a 10-20 Sigma 3.5, that lens showed no errors on the R10🤘
@@JummyJons Nice. That lens is another oldie but goodie similar to the EF-S 10-18
your one of the best reviewers i've ever seen. subbed. glad i found you
Thanks Man! I appreciate the kind words.
Finally taking the super old efs 10-22mm 3.5 - 4.5 for my canon r7. I choose it over 10-18 is only because of the higher f stop. and I can atleast have a little background blur. I will only use it for vlogging. It has no stabilization though but the IBIS on the r7 can atleast help. Good stuffs 👍
Yes that is also a classic lens. The 3.5 aperture and extra reach make it better than the 10-18 but it's a bit harder to find at times.
@@FulaanCreativeyep haha. it was the last unit when i bought it 😅
Good stuff! But I just bought Laowa 9mm with EF-M mount bro... that's the best choice I believe.
Thanks man! For real that laowa lens is beastly. zero distortion rectalinear with good aperture. If it only had autofocus though! Amazing & expensive lens!
he did say budget.
Thank you so much
Your videos are really consumable and have helped me in multiple situations 🙏
Awesome! I'm glad i could help.
Great comparison. More shots from Turkey please!
Thanks! Will do!
Excellent Video & Info! Great job! Thanks!
Thanks for watching & Commenting!
hi fulaan congrats for your very good and handy channel👍i heard about some IBIS issues with the tokina 11-16mm and the canon R7 Any clues or advise bout that ? thanx .😉
Honestly, not only the R7 but any current canon camera with IBIS is problematic. The IBIS wobbles the corner of the image so I wouldn't even use it. I would turn off the IBIS and simply add stabilization in davinci resolve in post. I find that to work pretty well. I got used to not having IBIS from using the M50 and EOS R so I prefer without it that is unless Canon improves their IBIS to be on par with other competitors.
Super informational as always! Was wondering, what do you think is the best ef wide angle lens in general??
I am assuming your talking about aps-c lenses for canon. The laowa 9mm ef-m lens is among the best but it does not have AF. The Canon 10-18 is still among the best but the aperture isn't the best. f you are talking about full frame I like the tamron 15-30 f2.8
@@FulaanCreative Yeah I was talking about aps-c. I am looking for an EF/EF-S that will be compatible with the meike VND filter. However, plan on using this lens for real estate so ideally something that does well when lighting isn’t the best.
Check as well out the Sigma 10-20 mm f/3.5 , works very good !
Thanks for the heads up Han!
Thanks Mate! Hugs from Lisbon 👌
Você é bem vindo!
Fantastic info great info and your knowledge is really helpful for new users !!
Thanks! İ appreciate the comment.
I need help! Please respond.. I have a M6 Mark ll (EF-M) and I have a Viltrox booster adapter so I can use EF/EF-S lenses on it. I bought an 85 mm Meike AF/1.8 lens but when I attach it to the adapter it says “Push and hold the lens switch and rotate to enable shooting” it doesn’t work! Do I need a different adapter? Everything fits but it won’t work. Please help!
Fulaan. The Beast! 💯😝
Thanks for the support man! I really do appreciate it.
You're gonna be my go to guy from now on 😁 Check out my dude Cody Scott if you ever have the chance. You're a bit more flexible with equipment. He has some gooood equipment jus a bit out of my price range.
Cool, I will check him out asap, thanks. Yeah, I try to keep it mostly budget. On occasion I will splurge a little but rarely.
One of the best. Color Grading and all. Love my dude! Pls check him out. I'm not tooooo broke. But cant compete with high end stuff like that. You're gonna love him. 🙏
Oh yeah, I have seen his videos. One of his vids helped influence me to get the eos r a while back. Dude got skills for sure. Thanks for the heads up!
im looking at getting the 10-18mm for a canon m50 for realestate. anyone opinions?
Very very useful video 😀 thank you so much
Glad it was helpful!
Should I dump my 800D? I’ve owned this camera since 2018 for automotive photography which is good for that, but now since I’m starting my youtube channel I’m hitting the limits of what I can do. I’m really finding out that it’s becoming obsolete, since most of the lenses are either more expensive for the FE-S mount or unavailable!!!
If your planning on doing more video an upgrade would be a good move in my opinion.
@@FulaanCreative sure, I just got a 16mm F2 lens I’m hoping it will improve the sharpness a bit with good settings and lighting, just to get started, I still only have 66 subs so until I reach 1000 then I will upgrade, I just don’t know where I’m getting with CZcams maybe it does or doesn’t work.
Thank you! Have you tried the samyang 14 mm F2.8 AF with adapter or speed booster on R7? I can't find anyone on the internet who has tried it.
I sure haven't. Sounds interesting though.
Ive found the 10-18 efs in Milano for 80€ already mine, hope doesent have much vignete with the speedboster.
Nice. It's an APS-C Lens so it might not fit the speed booster. If it does it will probably have vignette at anything below 18mm. It would work great with the normal adapter though.
@@FulaanCreative if u remove the plastic cap on the bottom lens any ef s becomes ef, problem is that dust and moisture can enter, i did that with tha 24mm efs and the 18-135mm.
The 18-135 had hard vignete but the 24mm was more than usable in my opinion.
I have a question: the viltrox speedbooster EF-M2 on Canon M50 - will it work with EF-S lenses (with EF lenses it works) ?
Yes it will work but if you use ef-s lenses you may get vignetting depending on which lens, but since 4k on the m50 has a bigger crop than 1.6 sometimes you may not get any vignetting in 4k, depending on the lens.
Awesome review man!!
Thanks man! I appreciate it.
i think the Tokina 11 to 20 version is sharper
Yes that is likely as it is newer I believe. I haven't had a chance to test it out however. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I have a question. I’ve been having a my M50 for about a year now and am looking to get some better glass on my camera that isn’t too expensive. Im looking for either an M mount or EF mount lens for canon that’s somewhere in the focal range of 24-70mm or 18-55mm and an aperture of F 2.8 or higher. My price range is anything under like $600 or $700. What do you think a good lens for me is?
I like the Tamron 24-70 f2.8 EF lens. It's a classic.
Hi, do you think the 10-18 ef is a good lens for r50? I know it needs an adapter. Or should i look for r lens? Thank you! Love watching your channel!
the 10-18 on the r50 should be quite awesome. There is no equivalent rf-s lens at the moment.
@@FulaanCreative thank u for a quick reply!
Quick question : to use the 10 to 18 mm what adapter would u use since it's a ef-s and the speed booster u recommend don't work for ef-s lens ? I also know Canon put out a rf 10 to 18 mm . But I don't like the price for it .
Grab the Meike ND adapter. They have one for M-mount cameras as well as RF mount cameras.
What Canon and Sigma lenses would you recommend for a Canon M50 for shooting real estate?
The 10-18 is grea tbut if you need a faster aperture and can do without AF then this lens is also good amzn.to/3sQuau0 - The sigma lenses for m50 are not quite wide enough for real estate but the one that could get the closest would be the 16mm sigma aps-c lens
Eid Mubarak Brother
Eid Mubarak Bro! Taqaballaahu minnaa wa minkum.
is the viltron speed booster for canon rf lens mount still available? Also great vid!
you might be able to find a used one on ebay.
Very helpful video thx 🙏
No problem 👍
What about the RF 16mm for wide on the r7 ? For indoors Thanks
Yes it's great but 16mm with an aps-c crop is about 24mm or so. The best wide lens for the system in my opinion is still the EF-S 10-18 but it'll need an adapter.
@@FulaanCreative thanks for the reply. Yes, I do realise that it would be 24 mil on a crop sensor, but because of the lower F-stop it just seems it might be better?
Great review man, any news on the Rokinon 12mm AF apps-c?
I haven't heard anything. Maybe it is only going to be for sony. For canon aps-c I think the viltrox speed booster along with this lens amzn.to/3EVXYbA might be the best option at the moment.
Cheers, I’ll have a look. Wanting to concentrate on fine art LE/Astro this year
@@andyjgill5750 Gotchya, hope it helps. Take care Andy.
good wrok > in the future will be the #1 inshallah
Thanks Malek!
Make a video about the RF 16mm 2.8
Would love to but I need Canon to send it over.
@@FulaanCreative I just got mine. My impression so far is that it was made to work better with a crop sensor.
oh no , why didnt u show the sample footages of both lenses.
Yeah, looking back it would have been better but at the time of shooting the video I only had the 10-18.
If I have the canon r50 what would be the best wider lens for cheap for vlogging but also for good photography something that when it crops it’s not too close to my face
At the moment the only real option is to use the EF-S 10-18 using an adapter. Preferable the Meike ND Adapter. You could also get the Canon 16mm f2.8 RF lens but that would be more closer to your face.
@@FulaanCreative okay thank you I’m going to invest in getting the 10-18 with the adapter and what about the 11-22 f/4-5.6 stm lens (ef-m)
@@FulaanCreativealso with the adapter is it the one that’s in the description because that one say for “ M “ cameras , so would I have to get the one that says for “ R “ cameras
@@Imjustcdott Yes correct. You would need the one called the EFT-R
@@Imjustcdott EF-M lenses are not adaptable to RF cameras. Only EF and EF-S are.
Plz i need answer 😬 now im using SonyZV1 for all my vedios in my channel its amazing with every single detail but the problem is has no wide angle and now i feel I get boring from my face cuz take the the full screen , so plz advise me with a camera same options same cost 😅 but removable lens , and what’s the best lens , thank uuuuuuuu soo much , all the best for u 🌹😊
You could try this wide adapter for the zv-1 amzn.to/3ioTL71 - other than that the closest camera I can think of in that price range that has interchangeable lenses is the m6 mark ii although it doesn't have the super high frame rates that the zv-1 has. Here is the link amzn.to/3BllIoY
Regarding lenses my favorite lens is the sigma 18-35 but the newer lenses from sigma are also very good. amzn.to/3kyfn3C
@@FulaanCreative really thanks big thanks 🙏🏻
You are welcome Akhi!
Any thoughts on the Canon EF-M 11-22mm f/4-5.6 IS STM Mr Fulaan? Btw l got the Takstar SCG-600 on your recommendation for my M50 mk2
I would stay away from EF-M lenses personally. The reason being is that they are only usable on Canon's mirrorless aps-c cameras. Whereas EF and EF-s lenses can be used on all Canon cameras so long as you have the correct adapter. This makes EF-M lenses useless if you upgrade camera bodies and may also bring down their resell value. How are you liking the Takstar Mic by the way?
Thanks for the light speed reply mate. I love the Takstar. I actually picked up an 11-22 for $250 Australian dollars off FB marketplace locally here in Cairns North Queensland but it seems the EFS lenses are a lot better value. I'm thinking the 55 to 250 EFS will be my next purchase. I saw a review by a fellow kiwi guy (kiora) and it looked pretty good czcams.com/video/-heDmya_yR4/video.html. I checked out the Rokinon site and it looks like that 12mm AF ain't out yet for Canon. On another note, I was curious if in a very long range strategy, if it was smart to go EF instead of EFS glass (re. the whole upgrade to full frame scenario ) and totally future proof yourself. I came across this vid czcams.com/video/S8-vfiq33R4/video.html
which shows that you lose a shipload of quality doing that. I guess coz the apsc sensor is not actually collecting all the light from the EF lens. I guess at some point you need to make a commitment. I think APSC is great anyway and down the track future models will have greater megapixel versions so who needs some bulky dinasour to lug around.
There are awesome EF and EF-s lenses. The sigma 18-35 is my favorite lens to date and it's an EF-s lens. The canon 55-250 is also amazing value for money. If you end up going with EF lenses Tamron makes some pretty awesome ones that are priced very fair.
canon ef-s 10-22mm vs 10-18mm
I make videos about unboxing tv's on my channel in my SMALL living room and i don't know witch lens i go with
The 10-22 is not being produced or serviced by Canon any longer but it is a better lens due to the faster aperture.
Thank you
You are welcome Manish
What about if you have install external microphone? Will it still pick up the noise?
Yes but a lot less, unless the mic is not mounted on the camera and is further away.

Hey Fulaan, do you know if wide angle adapters are any good? I think 0.7x is better than 0.5x and considering Nisi 0.7x wide angle adapter or Ulanzi WL-3.
Honestly I never tried one because there are so many affordable wide lens options for Canon. If you get it let me know what you think about it. Thanks.
@@FulaanCreative Yes, I am really temped to try the wide angle adapter because they are so cheap. :) The Nisi, for instance, is only about $40 LOL. I will let you know of I ever get to try.
Which is better for astrophotography?
Without doubt the tokina.
Bro honestly can help me out ? I want wide lens as well as bokeh look behind for canon m50 ? Can you tell me please which is good budget no problem
If budget is no issue then this lens along with the comlite adapter or preferably the viltrox speed booster is a very nice option: amzn.to/3EVXYbA
@@FulaanCreative Thankx men . But how about sigma 22 RF which juss launched I guess ? Can we have that in speed booster too for m50
Is there 24mm full-frame equivalent fixed lens for Canon APS-C?
The only thing that comes to mind is the Canon 10-18 EF-S zoom lens. If you want a fast prime the only thing I can think of is the Sigma 16mm EF-M lens but that's not quite 24mm equivalent but it's close.
@@FulaanCreative thank you!
