Jack and Chris welcome Norwich City head coach David Wagner to the podcast this week. David has only managed three games for the Canaries so far but has put on two majestic league performances and things are on the up. Norwich are the most despised team in England. Stay down, no-one wants you embarrassing yourselves in the PL.
What a breath of fresh air David is. He has rekindled enthusiasm, optimism, enjoyment and connection. For a while ambivalence was seeping in but at a stroke David has come in and restored everything good and positive. His positive and infectious influence has an instant impact on everything around NCFC, quite astonishing but it shows the power of a good attitude and mentality and of course someone who is the right fit for our club. A wonderful appointment, a perfect fit for Norwich and brings the love and unity back to the club and fans. Great work on the podcast TNC. 💛💚⚽ OTBC
His predecessor wasn't the right fit for Norwich. He may do well at another club.
@@geoffpoole483 yep it's all about the right fit, a coach like Pep would never fit us (money aside of course), NCFC is a different kind of club so need a different kind of staff. Before Wagner was in I hoped we'd get Bielsa lol
@@mrD66M Bielsa wouldn't have been dull! Previously the club took its time in making managerial appointments but Dean Smith seemed to have been hired just because he was available. I hope the club has learned from that.

Clearly an intelligent and articulate man. Did not say “we was robbed / sick as a parrot / over the moon / early doors / game of two halves” or any of the other cliche phrases. He has a proper ‘ology as well. A real role model.

I personally do think that he’s a good head coach and he knows what he is capable of. Either taking Norwich City back to the Premier League or keeping us in the Championship.

Stopped the rot already. We were splitting apart and he's brought some togetherness back, but more importantly hope and a belief in what we were trying to do pre-Smith.

Pick any former NCFC head coach that had this much charisma. Ppl may say Farke but I think DF had a more "cerebral" kind of charm, can't remember him breaking into laughter this easily / often. If David achieves half the legacy Farke did, he'll have done well!

Having seen Sheffield United struggle against Wrexham, how have Norwich managed to be so far behind them? .....should've sacked Smith earlier.
Huddersfield stayed up one season then sacked him because they were on the slide. Maybe the truth is that if Huddersfield were owned by billionaires they might have stayed up and Wagner might still be employed by them.
