Martin will obviously get a lot of stick for saying that but if you have people like Jamie O'hara and others saying similar things, it does bring into question what is the actual motivation for Spurs. When people say Spurs haven't won anything in a long time, and the best retort Spurs' fans and apologists can come up with is they finished above Arsenal for 6 years at Arsenal's lowest period in forever, you're saying THAT'S the best Spurs can do, in your own eyes.

Yeah I don' tcare about Arsenal wha tI want is for us to keep the pressure on Villa and hopefully get 4th from them. That has t ob eour priority not who wins the title. For me Ange should stay because 4th/5th is kind of where we are i nreality anyway he's achieved the maximum I think he wa sgoing to this season Ange. Granted he's disappointed h ehasn't won anything but any manager would be but he's got his head down and worked hard whereas both Mourinho and Conte spen tmoe rtim emoanin gthan actuall ydoing the job the yewre given durin gthei rtenures. Ange has got on with th ejob an dgo tthe most he could out of th eteam imo and he deserves respect for that. For me the big question is what do we do in the summer how do we change things to do better next season? Ange knows the premier league now that' he' spent a full year coaching in it. How can he improve things next year compared to this? This is where we'll learn whether Ange is truly capable of managing at thi slevel. He' s ticked the right boxes by putting us up 3 places on las tseason and guaranteeing us European football nex tyear Regardles o fwhethe rit' sChampions Leagu eo rEuropa Leagu ei tdoesn' tmatte rthe fac tis we ae rback in Europe which was really the main must do for this season. Because if we ge tpast Villa we can still hav eChampion sLeagu eand if we don't it' s still Europa so it's no tbad eithe rway given ho wcompetitive the Prem is. Right now w eshoul donly concern ourselves with what Villa do and use tha ta sour benchmark tr an dfinish the season stronge rthan them. Forget the top 3 they're on their own

I must be missing something, as all my other fellow Spurs fans keep telling me. Under Poch, we finished 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 4th. Also got to League Cup and Champions League Final. Under Jose, missed out on top 4, got to a League Cup Final. Conte in his first season, got us top 4, so qualified again for Champions League. The following season when he left, we were in 4th position, then went on an awful run. Now Ange has come in, with a full pre season, spent £180 Million. New Keeper, new defenders and inherited Romero, Porro and Udogie. Doesn’t have Dier, Sanchez, Davies, Tanganga, Doherty, Winks, Skipp etc as his first choice. Like Conte and Jose did. Yet we are 5th, conceding goals for fun, going half’s where we don’t even have shots on target. People moaned, when we didn’t half shots in first half of games, under Jose and Conte. Saying they are too defensive, they are negative. Yet when it happens a lot under Ange, nobody says anything. So how can people say we are better, we have improved, HOW?, all because we play Ange ball 😂. What is that exactly, try and out score the opponent. Man Utd, Chelsea and Newcastle have all been out the top race, so it should be easier to get it. Yet a Villa team, who spent way less, is odds on for it. While also having European football all season. Pundits, media and some fans, are going on like we are West Ham, Brighton, Newcastle, Villa etc. That we never get top 4, like it’s an achievement if Ange gets us there. No it’s not, we have been in top 4 more times than Arsenal in last 10 years. I have no idea, why Ange is so hyped up, why me as a fan, can’t say nothing bad against him. He has 2 whole weeks with them, after we got battered at Newcastle. Yet we were 3-0 against Arsenal in just over 30 minutes, what does that say. He also got London manager of the year, why I don’t know.

Little egotistical, apart from this season and the season before Spurs haven't had to care about arsenal and what they were doing as for 7 years spurs were doing better in the league. Arsenal went through alot of change and struggled to do well for 7 years (still got a cup, but league wise they struggled for consistency). Spurs are going to have the same since there's been a few different managers since Poch had his reign. If Ange sticks about and players come in, small tactical changes happen etc then Spurs will likely see the same outcomes Arsenal are seeing.
At first alot of people were Arteta out with how poor results had been up until last season, as they failed to grab a champions league when they should have the season before last. But with consistency and 600m+ worth of player backing, Arsenal have started to become regular challengers. It's not rockect science, consistency in a competant manager and backing will lead to results, how competent the manager is and what they learn during their time, coupled with how much they are financially backed will set how far the team will be able to strive.

It was extremely unlucky for Spurs and the disallowed Goal was corruption. Gabriels bum was clearly the last.

Arsenal literally got robbed of atleast 10 points last season including the Brentford game where a clear offside goal was allowed. Should have easily won the league regardless of the games bottled. But keep crying about corruption for Arsenal - they literally have had terrible decisions go against them for so many years from the Luiz red card at Wolves for a non foul to Martinelli sending off against Wolves for ridiculous unheard of double yellow to this season when Douglas luiz clearly kicks Jesus on the legs and there’s no penalty or var review to Joe Linton pushing Gabriel for the Newcastle goal. But yeah always in favour of Arsenal đŸ€Ą
