Wearing only armor ain't that bad. I had a lot to learn running through Skyrim and hope to bring some more guides.

I'm surprised you didn't grab boethias mail from her quest while power levelling. Its ebony armor with great defence and passively does poison damage to any enemies that are close to you. It would have saved you a bit of time while doing that grind to 100. Great video btw.

Leveling up armor in this game reminds me about the joke where a man shoots himself with progressively larger and larger bullets until he develops an immunity to them outright.

The funny thing is, from an evolutionary standpoint, that’s actually fucking feasible. It’ll take several generations, but it’s fucking feasible.
It is a fundamental truth that in Skyrim every player will become a stealthy archer and every "only" guide video will have the Resto Loop
This guy basically became Cain, cursed to wander endlessly, fully immortal, and anyone who tries to put him out of his misery has their liver implode.

I remember I waited til I had some enchanted items that boosted health regen to train heavy or light armor. They let me just afk the skeletons in white run hall of the dead till 100 in both skills
cursed armor that makes you immortal but amplifies getting flicked into a nuclear blast and it kills you if you take it off

I love the idea of "learning armor" in this game. I can only assume it's just.. learning to wear armor better or something, which somehow magically makes it stronger.
Basically it comes down to knowing how to move in the armor. Certain portions of the armor are thicker and better at taking strikes than others. A novice in plate would try to dodge a weaker attack, likely wearing himself out sooner, making himself more open on weaker parts of the armor, or just incorrectly balancing and tumbling around. A master would know how to position his center of gravity so he doesnt imbalance himself. He would also know where the armor is the strongest and instead of attempting to dodge blows, he would instead attempt to redirect them to these pieces by making slight movements or using his arms or weapon to deflect it there. A good heavy armor user knows where to take hits at that will deal the least or no damage. With this, they also know how far the armors joints move and where at so they can expend the least energy to move in the armor. Work with your joints! But yea, typically the breastplate/cuirass and shoulder pauldrons are pretty much some of the strongest points in many armor sets. Taking hits lets you learn by experience which places hurt and injure you the least. Also helps your balance when taking strikes. Hope this helps!

@@cheese3764 you ever wear full body armor? Plate or otherwise? You move specific parts, like shifting your shoulder so the pauldron gets hit, or blocking with a gauntlet. I'm an armor enthusiast. It's not about dodging when you wear heavy armor, it's about letting your armor do the work for you

Also, of all the resto-loop uses, I don't think I've seen anyone delibaretly give themselves negative armor. I love how that just causes all encounters in the game to collapse on themselves.

Missed opportunity for a 'thorns' potion effect to be put into the game, then that could stack with the reflect damage perk
And Reflect was already a spell effect in Oblivion, just another case of Skyrim gameplay complexity being trimmed down
This is the funniest challenge vid I've ever seen. The way the enemies flop to their deaths, that skyrim quality (tm), the meteor stunlock... it's all wonderful

Regardless of the game, if it is a Be And video, you know it is going to be a fun ride.
As always, the level of quality in your videos is amazing! Always makes me laugh! Whilst I expected the armor reflect route, I didn't expect it to devolve into afk strats with the restoration loop. It was a blast watching you just stand there menacingly, and having your foes simply keel over.

Pro tip: the giant camp outside of Whiterun has a safe spot. There is a stone pillar near the fire pit that you can jump over to from the little hill/cliff right next to it.
Plan: Agro the giants, take a hit and jump to the pillar, heal yourself and use the mage hood exploit to use healing spell infinitely
This helps raise block as well or anything that levels from damage👍
