Icom takes years from announcement to availability (7610, ID52, etc....) so why not take it to the next level and just spread the announcement over months? 🤦♂

To me the most interesting part of the whole video tour was the view inside the Collins Radio Van showing the older Ham Radios. Thanks Josh.

Caught a glimpse of myself on this video. I received my call sign early Friday, so I was about as new as you can get. I live in a condo so antenna options are what I am interested in.
Excellent Josh because we couldn't travel to Dayton this year, but we hope that next year we can with some KP4FRA partners.

I almost passed on watching this but it was far more interesting then I thought. I was a little surprised at what I would have said was the low number of people.
Nice to have met you in person today in Dayton.
I contacted the RSGB recently with an issue and John (GI4BWM) the President of the Society replied to me personally. Great to see a fellow Northern Irish man at the top table.
I will miss Bob Heil, he was always at the Hamvention in days past. Nice to see Gordo there. I hope you enjoyed the Hamvention, I don’t miss the Ohio weather, imagine when it was held in April yeas ago. I remember several of the Dayton Snowventions in the late 80’s

Next year on your walk around, start a scooter drinking game. Every time you see someone go by on a scooter, take a drink. The test is to see if you can get to the end of the stream before passing out. Great stream and I appreciate the time and effort and thanks for hitting some of the booths and getting interviews with people. While I'm anti-QRP, I found the 50w and 100w amps extremely interesting, especially the power packs for them. Hopefully I can go next year. Xenia and Huntsville are bucket list items for me and this is the closest I've ever lived to both of them. 73

I was at the Shelby, NC hamfest a few years ago when I noticed a man with a clipboard counting. I asked if he was counting attendance. He said he was counting people with white hair.

Could you please stop by the Flex booth tomorrow and ask a Flex Employee two questions: 1) why no 8-slice 8XXX radio ? and 2) is Diversity Reception in the new 8XXX series phase coherent or just the same simple implementation as the 6xxx series ? I saw you in one of the buildings filming content. What a muddy sloppy mess! The flea market wasn’t all that great this year. Anything I was interested in, was exposed to the rain.
Those guys at 1:31 with the tie down straps also make a ratchet strap like carabiner that works with paracord, they’re pretty neat, rollercam is their ratchet strap

I am disappointed with Icom. I just got my license and am in the market for my first radio. I wish they would have told us more about the X60. Do I wait for details or buy another product? This is poor marketing. They should be informing the customer , not playing games.

Young people have no extra money. They all live in apartments. It is a work day. I could go on and on. Most middle aged people can't get up and go halfway across the country to a rainy hamfest.
Ham radio is not something that people "age-out" of. There are young people here, but they are outnumbered by us old guys. There most certainly is a future for amateur radio.
Most Young Ham Radio Operaters live in the Large Cities!
