  • Elder Scrolls VI has three likely locations: Hammerfell, High Rock and Orsinium, but which will it be? It is now 2024 and information has been released through many easter eggs in Bethesda's other projects (such as starfield), so in today's video I explain which location is most likely for ethesda's next elder scrolls 6 game and why I believe it will not be one location but multiple locations for the elder scrolls VI.

    The Elder Scrolls VI (working title) is an upcoming action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It will be the sixth main installment in The Elder Scrolls series, following 2011's The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The game is scheduled to be released for Windows and Xbox consoles.
    The project is led by game director Todd Howard, reprising his duties from previous games in the series, as well as other games developed by Bethesda Game Studios. The Elder Scrolls VI will be the second game developed on the studio's in-house engine, Creation Engine 2, following Starfield (2023). The game entered pre-production by 2018, formally being announced during Bethesda's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2018 conference. The game entered active production in 2023 following Starfield's completion and launch.

    Honestly the music in the announcement trailer definitely hits me with that High Rock atmosphere, it has the feel of that old Breton slogan "Find a new hill, become a king." Also the music and landscape shown in the announcement trailers would fit well with that questing and chivalric culture the bretons have. That said I dont dismiss Orsinium nor Hammerfell as options.

    One reason why I think it’d be based in High Rock is because of the Adamantium Tower. I could also see it in Hammerfell for incursion reasons, but the Concordat still stands; unless the Stormcloaks win Skyrim, then that will send the Elves forward to wipe Cyrodiil, and attempt to conquer Hammerfell.

      In Skyrim the Civil War ruined the other factions. By putting so much focus on the war all the other factions ended up being way too short. I really don't want a repeat of that. Besides, this is The Elder Scrolls, not Total War. There's a reason the Civil War questline is so lame. A war storyline sounds great on paper, but this is an adventure series, not a war series.

    The Fourth Orsinium would be perfect for centering ES6 in the Reach (entire region in the middle of Northwestern Tamriel, not just the Skyrim Hold). Then we could explore Hammerfell and High Rock and also travel to Skyrim to see what happened after the Civil War. Plus, there’s the interesting conflict between the Trinimac and Malacath cults. Also, someone in Bethesda suggested they wanted a title similar to “Oblivion” so “The Elder Scrolls VI: Orsinium” would make sense…

My hopes for the last 2-3 years has been that we will see Highrock & Hammerfell together as well as surrounding smaller islands like Stros M'kai that we can visit on our own pilotable ship. with the conflict between Bretons, Redguards and orcs and and everything. I am hoping we will be introduced to the Thalmor plot for the tower in illiac bay but the new lands DLC they release is actually Summerset where you get the entire world of Summerset Isles to explore but the main plot is a conflict between Highrock, Hammerfell and Orsinium against the Dominion for control of the last tower.

    if the game even comes out during our lives, i think having both hammerfell and high rock could be an easy and attractive selling point for it, like saying that it's bigger than skyrim and have two provinces instead of one would go a long way for some ppl, without even asking a question if it's also better. i hope they learned their lesson and won't go the route of an enormous map of procedurally generated nothing, but i think hammerfell+high rock is manageable enough for bethesda to do sth actually skyrim-like. and it would be a pretty diverse place both in culture and landscape to be engaging (if done right).

    Bethesda will hopefully learnt a lot of lessons from fallout 4, 76, and Starfield. Esepcially since Skyrim put bethesda onto the map of the greats. Sure Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3 were big but none as much as Skyrim.
    They cant fuck up ES6 so learning everything they can from their current games and their contemporaies is very important.
    Personally i think the world has been in development for a long long time, either since the last DLC or Fallout 4. Building it up and the story.
    Obviously it wont be all of Tamriel but having Hammerfell and HighRock and making these worlds feel alive whilst providing the necessary support for Region sized mods ala Skyblivion could lead to a game that lasts beyond skyrims length.

    Incoming as many loading screens as possible. I'd love this to be a success but Bethesda has been disappointing ever since Skyrim. Hell I don't care about keeping the same graphics as Skyrim and just having it in a decent location with a great story and NO LOADING SCREENS CONSTANTLY..... do you hear me TODD

    I can't wait to play it in 2030. I'm so glad Bethesda followed Todd Howard's Starfield dream to the underwhelmingly mediocre conclusion. Hope they lost a lot of money on that game.

    • @RangerGeorge
      @RangerGeorge  Před 4 měsíci

      Due to Hammerfell only having eight (major) cities, I assumed it would be slightly smaller, but perhaps it's a similar size! Regardless including all Hammerfell and High Rock would certainly make it a lot bigger!

  • @MadMamluk88
    @MadMamluk88 Před 4 měsíci +2

    Hammerfell is the superior choice, and since Orsinium is currently located within Hammerfell there’s a great chance we’ll get a Knights of the Nine/Dawnguard sized and type of DLC expansion based entirely in Orsinium, with a Shivering Isles/Dragonborn sized DLC taking place on Stros M’Kai as a nice callback to Redguard. Not to mention seeing the Redguards taking the mantle of establishing the next man-led empire after the crumbling of the Cyro-Nordic one would makes for a more interesting story.
    High Rock is too safe. Way too safe.

      @@ZombieGangster you don’t understand what I’m saying. Go watch a cut scene in starfield, then go watch one in cyberpunk. Bethesda’s NPCs are 100% lifeless and don’t even act like people. I highly doubt they will be different in the new new Elder scrolls

    • @ZombieGangster
      @ZombieGangster Před 4 měsíci

      @@TonyGunz916 Bethesda rarely does cutscenes and thats fine. They dont need to be like anything like Cyberpunk, they’re better off as being their own thing. Its funny that you’re praising Cyberpunk when the game was in the same position Starfield was when it launched. The NPCs were lifeless and rarely reacted to anything you did like pointing a gun at them.

      @@SOLSTICES41 It's not being brainwashed to point out that the quality of Bethesda's products have been declining with each new release. This isn't a shock or a new development. This has been happening since the Morrowind days. While Morrowind itself was a very different type of game compared to Daggerfall, the subsequent releases from Morrowind onwards continued to slowly strip away things from each release. Oblivion, Fallout 3, Skyrim, Fallout 4, and then Starfield. Everything BGS developed has been slowly streamlined and ripped apart. Each appears to get "bigger", but that size is nothing but a gigantic wide net that has the depth of a puddle. The writing, the characters, the questing, and most importantly PLAYER CHOICE have been stripped out, culminating in Starfield, a game that has barely anything to do, has a gameplay loop that gets boring even faster than FO4's, has horrible writing, and is basically an on rails theme park ride in terms of quests.
      You no longer have any player freedom at all. Quests are designed one singular way, with end results never changing. Older TES fans have seen this for years, and all of us are sitting here looking at all of you going "First time?".
      TES 6 will be even more watered down. Todd talks a good talk with his hype marketing, he always has, but "ultimate fantasy life simulator" TES 6 will not be. They don't have the talent, passion or drive to do that anymore. TES 6 will, mark my words, basically be Skyrim 2 with more systems gutted and features stripped out, with the ship builder from Starfield slapped in to a FO4 settlement system instead of a singular ship. Your special chosen one narrative will be "the lost art of sword singing", which will gut the already established lore of Sword Singers to make the player some power fantasy prophesized chosen one. Civil war will come back with Crowns v Forebears. Thalmor will be hilariously Saturday morning cartoon villains again. Most importantly, the bugs will be rampant, as per usual.
      That's what TES 6 will be. Anyone expecting otherwise after 22 years of BGS' trail of disappointments is coping and blind.
