hey pls tell another way also does this only work in latest version of virtual box? i tried from 5th but thn i thought to download the latest but the page isn't loading
This worked for me, but every time I launch the virtual machine I need to go back and boot from file each time I want to use it. Any idea how to fix this? thanks!
You need to spoof the device ID. Try this: > run cmd as administrator > cd C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox > VBoxManage.exe setextradata “put your vm name here” “VBoxInternal/Devices/efi/0/Config/DmiBoardProduct “Mac-AA95B1DDAB278B95” > restart the machine
I believe there are a few commands that need to be run in cmd to “trick” Mac OS that it is actually running on Apple hardware and not windows. Try this: > Run CMD as admin > cd C:\Program Files\Oracle\Virtualbox > VBoxManage.exe modifyvm “put the vm name here” --cpuidset 00000001 000106e5 00100800 0098e3fd bfebfbff > VBoxManage setextradata “vm name here” “VBoxInternal/Devices/efi/Config/DmiBoardProduct” “Mac-AA95B1DDAB278B59” > VBoxManage setextradata “vm name here” “VBoxInternal/Devices/smc/0/Config/DeviceKey” “ourhardworkbythesewordsguardedpleasedontsteal(c)AppleComputerInc” > VBoxManage setextradata “Vm name here” “VBoxInternal/Devices/smc/0/Config/GetKeyFromRealSMC” 1
Everything was going fine untill THE INSTALLATION GOT STUCK AT 3/4 MINITUES REMANING, please help because i want mac os in virtualbox. @Nosware and i did everything u said

I updated Mac OS Monterey to Ventura and wasn't able to boot. Unfortunately, this video didn't help me. Help! What should I do??
If this does not work, turn on Hyper-V in display.
Really saved me, thank you!
how do i get to the point in the "boot from file" where i can browse through all of the other files? I cant figure it out!
Delete the virtual machine and start from scratch, that’s probably your best bet
