  • Hi everyone! I deleted this week's video and reuploaded it because I made a mistake when editing it originally and accidentally mixed English and Spanish footage.
In this week's video, I talk about some of my experiences with irritability and how it affected my family and myself.
If you're new to my channel, welcome I'm Victoria! I make CZcams videos about mental health in Spanish and English to help others who might need it. I also aim at lowering the stigma around mental illnesses and putting a more positive tone into what life can be while living with a mental illness.
Don't forget to check out the playlists I've made in which I have categorized my videos so you can find what you want to watch faster!

My bipolar comes through my irritability and anger. I’m just so tired of feeling this way. I hate the irritable and anger feelings

Man...the irritation & agitation is how my mania comes out. Along with being overly playful. This s* is hell. Thanks for your video. Be well.

This is me!!! People say in mania you just work a lot and you feel energetic, mostly people don't talk about the irritation and anger issues come with bipolar disorder in manic episode.

Great video❤️ were you able to hide or mask” your feelings of anger/irritation from people that were not your closest family? Like could you hold up a facade to strangers if they triggered you, or was that not possible? I can maintain myself when I’m with strangers, but explosions happen inside and I let it out when I get home to my husband. And at home I can just relate to everything you have said in this video. I’m between borderline or bipolar I’m with a psychiatrist now to find out. I have so many mixed feelings and feel angry, sad, hopeless, happy, in love. I’m just all over with my emotions 😩 but mostly angry and annoyed. But I can hold up an facade with strangers or anyone who is not my closest family. I’m wondering if that is possible with hypomania??

Thanks for your video, it really hits home and helps a lot. Can I ask what medications you take for you BD? Do you have side effects?

Hi! I’m glad it helps :) I take lithium and lamotrigine and yes lithium gave me acne at first and trembling. I had to lower the dosage with my doctor’s help so the side effects would diminish. I think every medication has side effects but it affects everyone differently. Personally for me medications helped me so much that I found solution to its problems

I have studied that lithium carbonate causes kidney damage in almost 40% of people in the long run . How true is this?

My husband is so cruel and says the worst things to me when he is manic. It BREAKS my heart. But I do know he is struggling and it hurts him to say it. It seems like he knows he should stop, but he can't. Knowing that, I stay. I stay because I know he wants to be better. He doesn't want to feel that way. He's trying to get better. So, coming from someone on the opposite end, if you work together and try hard to help yourself heal and feel peace, I'm sure it will work. You can do this!
