Thanks for the update on the progress, always nice to see you putting that awesome shop to good use. Hope you and yours had a great Christmas and are ready for the new year. See you on the next one.
Damn you been busy Shane! Going to be some great looking guitars 🎸👍
Happy New Year ✨️
Happy New years brother hope you have an even better 2023 cheers yal
Everything is looking amazing! Why are there not prices for the completed guitars on your website? You do not need guitar building machines.. you are the Machine! Way to pump out some new guitars!
I will have an interactive luthier shop on the site with changing prices as you add options, but for these prototypes, since I don't have an actual store on the site yet, are only available through email quote / PayPal / Bitcoin
Happy New Year! We all know you bought that epoxy especially for the sparkles. 😛
Nice work Klesh, have you ever made an acoustic guitar? I watched a guy make one and damn...it looks like hard work. Great to see you and others enjoy and share such a beautiful art work!
I have made Acoustic guitars, and plan on doing so in the future here at the shop. Maybe in a year or two, depending on how the Electric guitar business goes.
Dude you have been busy!
Nice👍👍. Ever think of sprinkling some flour gold on a guitar?
In the epoxy ⛏
Nice. You have not bought an Electric Guitar for more than 90 days. when will you Buy one? will you get either a Gibson, Fender or Gretsch?
I recently got a Kiesel
Why don't you use faster setting epoxy? You can also use thicker versions for things like this.
Thicker epoxy makes more sense for certain applications but here I need the epoxy to flow into the tiniest of cracks so that is why I choose the flow cast.
I'm curious if it is possible to stain the wood next to the epoxy or is the epoxy somehow sealing the wood so it doesn't take the stain anymore.
The entire piece will also be treated with CPES (Clear penetrating epoxy sealer) , at that point I'll be doing the hand staining. We will see, but the good thing about finish is it's much more forgiving than the woodworking itself. Many work-arounds if things don't turn out like I want the first time. One example is If they don't hold stain, I can always spray color.
Have you done much research into the market for this type of guitar? Do you think this will be a profitable use of your time?
I've done exactly zero research, I'm really just building for myself and friends right now. If these guitars are awesome to me, then others will likely also enjoy it. No different than my CZcams videos over on the Klesh channel. I haven't thought much about profits, but of course would be nice to have enough to cover materials and the expenses from building my shop - this is why I'm currently selling some early serial numbers on kleshguitars.com.
