As someone cleverly pointed out on the previous upload, it's funny how Phil publishes a full playthrough of a video game without asking for permission, yet thinks he is owed a request when the DEVELOPER of said game uses a short clip of his gameplay and provides commentary on it, making it transformative (and educational).
Over 10 years of doing this as a living, yet still doesn't understand how fair use works. Sounds about right.
Also, This idiot fails to see the huge benefit of a developer featuring his ass in a conference - free press for his dead channel. He only looks for negatives fails to see the positive. 99% of other streamers would be giddy with glee to find out that they were the subject of such an event. smh.
I'd just like to mention, on top of the obvious hypocrisy... phil's face was blocked out for his privacy... the dev did it as a nice thing but phil acts like the dev was stealing his shit to profit off of (and also the dev was literally commenting on the gameplay... phil says commentary is a protected thing... why is he even complaining here)

Phil thinks the license he gets when he pays for the game gives him permission to do absolutely anything he wants with it, including streaming it in its entirety for money, never mind that people have pointed out to him a number of times that the license does not give such permission.
The absolute most he would be "owed" would be to list him as the source of footage.

DSP gives me hope in humanity, for better or worse, because he ironically proves that you can be so universally hated that no one in your own community is on your side and yet you still have fans who keep giving you money while listening to insults directed to them at the same time.

For one, he cons it out of children and disabled viewers who both don't know any better, so he's technically a predator. Secondly, take pride and comfort in the fact that you don't have crippling gambling and alcohol addictions that have you sink $50,000 right into Vince McMahon's pocket and pour $3100 down the hatch as a result annually. Finally, your current work environment and daily routines are nowhere near the ultra-stressful and mentally-damaging web of lies DSP has to maintain on a daily basis, which clearly show their effect on him in the form of extreme mental and physical damage. He looks over 20 years older than he is, and if you were to talk to him, you'd think that he has the brain of a senile old man.
You're a success compared to him no matter how you look at it. Look after yourself. Maintaining your mental and physical health is the best investment you could ever make.
This should be used in therapy against those with self esteem problems, it sure helped me out

I used to watch TIHYDP videos, especially on him playing souls games, back when i was in school around when DS3 came out. I am genuinely shocked to come back nearly what, 6 years later or something and this dude still somehow has a following. Ive been catching up on all of his schenanigans and how the hell does he still kind of thrive? Like genuinely, is it just taking advantage of people who dont know better? I am genuinely baffled.
I feel you, I remember originally seeing his vids back in 2009 when he played L4D, forgot about him, discovered TIHYDP in 2015/2016, forgot about him and now came across this to see somehow people still throw their money at this manchild.
