    Good job!you just saved me $550 in parts.also for calibrating the Steering angle sensor is to turn the clock spring all the way to right then turn it back 3 and half times.and you should have extra 3 and half times space to turn it all the way to left.if you turn it more it would brake the wire inside for air bag.air bag wire is the shortest wire in all the wires inside.

    Nice 1. Step by step so this encouraged me to have a go. I did manage to fix it, ( turn off airbag warnin light) although it seems I'd a slightly different problem. And working on a different vehicle, Rebault Master, but steps all the same near enough however I could find no broken, cracked or frayed wires or pins in need of soldering or fixing, but what I did do while I was at it was to clean up all the plugs and electrical connections before putting it all back together and this seems to have done the job. Might try this 1st before taking all apart if ever going at it again.
    So good oul WD40 comes to the rescue again and saving €250 on parts from manufacturer whenever he managed to get them in. Thanks for very helpful vid also, cheers.

    Thank you for video. I am not very mechanical but I am going to try the fix. Could you please explain again where the steering angle sensor is located and how not to disconnect it? It seems like this is an important step. I know you explained it at the very end but could you please give me some more detail where it is and how not to screw that part of it up. Because I do not have a scanning tool to reset, I don't have any friends that have a scanning tool either. I would have to take it to a dealership. @marcusslaten8806 Před 4 lety

      By chance did you disconnect your battery before starting to pull the steering wheel off. I have seen videos some disconnect the battery some don't, what's best. I am assuming not to disconnect the battery because you need to use the scan tool?

    • @fixxxer6484
      @fixxxer6484  Před 4 lety +2

      @@marcusslaten8806 if you're not much experienced in car repairs I would suggest you to disconnect it, before you unplug steering wheel airbag. You might need to turn steering wheel left and right, and it's easier on running engine, so after you remove bag, right before disconnecting it, put your wheels straight and then disconnect the battery, and then bag connectors.

    And... does it still work? I bet it will break again soon, either directly next to the repair spot, or at another kink. That ribbon cable is worn.

    • @globuslive
      @globuslive Před 5 měsíci +1

      Use something like credit card or guitar pick, they have locking tabs on the bottom. So insert card between connector and the housing. It's tricky a bit. Don't force it too much, or they would break. They work even broken, but better to save it. The one that closer to the wires, should come off first. Hope it helps
