    I’ve been making glass flowers for several years now, but I love the addition of using the nails and the glass gems as Stamen however, I use 100% clear silicone caulking, it much much easier to use and probably cheaper than buying all that epoxy and having to stir it up at each step, I have also made mushrooms with solar lights inside:) I also loved watching you make the birdfeeders out of upcycled glass because I have so many pieces that don’t quite fit for making a flower but now I can use them to make a birdbath or bird feeder, thanks!

      Thank you! I agree about the silicone, I've been experimenting and it appears that silicone works well even in the hot sun. It's a learning process! Will have to try making mushrooms : ) Do you have channel or FB page?

    Also, instead of round bottles, you can use a hockey puck or I have found square vases or oil and vinegar bottles as well as alcohol bottles with at least a flat side work very well!

      Yes hockey pucks work great! These flowers with the bottles were my first attempt. I need to find bottles with a flat side, that's a good idea : )

    You can also use some of these pieces to create a butterfly and be watering station

    They're lovely Victorian flowers! The stamen are a great touch with their little gemmy tips. How clever to use bottles to mount them on the conduit. Gorgeous fun for your garden! 🌻

    I love the addition of gems. Do you think the nails might rust? I have been collecting some dishes and bowls to make flowers like this, and because I also do beadwork, I have some good materials at hand. I’ve made stamens using copper wire and crystal beads. Can’t wait to assemble them to see how they turn out. Thanks so much for your demonstration.

      Thank you! The nails may rust but I think they will still look okay with a rusty patina ; ) I've also more recently made flowers with copper wire and beads. Check out my newer videos! It's so fun to experiment with new techniques. Have fun making yours! ♥

    Absolutely beautiful. Which do you prefer, the bottle or the hockey puck? Big fan from Texas ♥️🤠💐

    • @MyLittleSliceofParadise
      @MyLittleSliceofParadise  Před měsícem +2

      Thank you! The hockey puck was easy to glue onto the back. But I like using the bottle with conduit pole because the pole is sturdier. It's a toss-up : )

    Thank you for this video. I love how you used the nails. I have started a flower, using crystal, multi colored crystal door knobs for the center. I like the nails, it gives it dimension. I was stuck on how to attach it to the pole, you bottle trick is a wonderful idea. When your egg dish was upside down and the gems showing through, I wondered could you make a mushroom. (:

      @MyLittleSliceofParadise  Před 7 měsíci +1

      I like to do things the easy way, so the bottle on the back was the best for me. I would love to see your flowers when you finish! And yes I will look into doing mushrooms sometime ; )
