Sarah looked kinda weird in the face, during the trailer, but here she looks pretty good.
Fr she's way hotter here compared to the trailer. (Not as hot as her VF4 or DOA5 looks tho, but that's just me)

I always wanted to see this in the Dragon Engine. Yakuza looks like Virtua Fighter and Shen Mue anyway. Genius idea but I remember the game having more contrast. I cant wait to see thos in person.

For those bitching over voice acting and lack of customization let me shed some light.
The cheesy dialogue is from the vanilla version back in 2006. And hasn't changed since 2012 when they added one new intro and win dialogue.
The customization is lacking because its a different than the other 3 VF5's this is the dragon engine and will take a while for the devs to remake and add in all of your favorite goodies.
I understand 15 years for *_this_* is saddening but patience is key.
The customisation is probably going to be a paid DLC given that it is free for PS+ subscribers.

VF5 Final Showdown has 6 Costume Types including swimsuits for every character (it is the 6 costume type), are they available as DLC as it seems they are not available in the base game?
Only 3 costumes for now. The rest will be available later. The devs said in a interview that they need more time to remake the other costumes.
@@Stylfallen Yup! I have the Legendary DLC and it only includes 3 types...and 2 Retro types.
@@Stylfallen makes sense. If you’re going to remake everything in the game with Yakuza engine, you gotta make look good. Hopefully, the extra costumes make it for the summer since the sixth and final set are swimwear and bonus outfits.
@@Kaitoucchi that’s fine as they pretty much remade this game from scratch using a new engine. The character models look great and hopefully VF sells well enough to warrant a sequel.

You can freely customize any character with the Legendary Pack, however its missing a TON of items which weren't remade yet, SEGA will release them at an unknown date.

Fr. The graphics are amazing, and the animations are still great. However, some character model faces look worse imo (Akira's face is too soft, and Pai looks almost robotic). The voice acting is also SUPER compressed, and El blaze's hands? 💀 4:17
Kinda of, but Doa is a different game entirely though. Everything is super glamorous, glossy and bouncy. I can see why Sega dialed it back a bit. It's just different in VF5US. Maybe a bit more serious perhaps.

I think Ryo Hazuki from Shenmue has a higher chance of being DLC. Idk that's just what I think, but at the same time Kiryu and the Yakuza games are more popular

I think it looks great for a 15 year old game. Never expected them to finally give the VF series a facelift. I hope it does well enough to warrant a new game.
@@LightLeo111 I doubt it will do better in today's standards. This game is too hardcore and they need to simplify the system to new comers. Like tekken 7, they added so many easy mode characters.
@@jkdman2007 They don't need to simplify anything, its actually the "simplification" of the 3 button control scheme that make it seem "overly complex", when really it isn't.
The game really has a "6 function" control scheme that is being squeezed into 3 buttons. It doesn't need to be that way. This is the part people have the hardest time understanding when they first play the game.
They could have dedicated "technique" buttons and make full use of a controller.
Currently, you can bind button combinations to a single button press, but its a bit janky compared to if they refined the move sets to a 4/5 button scheme.
Regardless, this whole bit is why I find people have a hard to digging into VF. When people finally learn how the buttons combinations work, they realize how refreshingly deliberate the actually game is.

Because Sega got lazy with the voice recording. Everyone speaks either Japanese or English because it's easy for a Japanese company who has an American branch to get a hold of people who speak those languages. Perhaps if Sega is brave enough to fund an actual new VF game, they will take a page from modern Tekken's book and actually have everyone speak thier native language.
So that his voice goes well with his anime/JoJo looking intro and win poses lol. And I love him for that
The customisation was a waste of money in my opinion compared to the original Virtua Fighter 5 final Showdown. It is extremely lacking quite a few character else and costumes. For example you're able to give Vanessa Lewis Virtua Fighter 4 look. And there are even more costumes that were interchangeable. I just hope sega adds these costumes back over time.
Devs stated they have to design all items and make NEW ones since this is the Dragon Engine. Its unknown when it will be released.

They seriously need to use new voice actors cause this is ridiculous not to mention new fighting effects otherwise it just ruin the purpose, and another thing can the voice clips not make them sound like they're using voice effects, the gameplay is good the character designs are good but it would've killed the purpose if they'd at least called it virtua fighter 6, used new pre battle, victory and losing poses, and had new characters, but no y'all wanna keep it and remaster it, I don't think so, you got soul calibur 6, tekken 7, and dead or alive 6, it's only fair that virtua fighter should have a 6th tournament.
Yeah, the sounds could use a facelift too. I mean, it is 15 year old stuff, but even 15 years ago I thought the sound effects could use a "re-imaging" even back then. They decided to keep them like the arcade version which, helps with telegraphing fight information to players that know VF, but I always wanted them to create new versions of those classic sounds.
@@LightLeo111 I think some of those sound effects can be found online. I’ve put those hit effects in audacity through a raised bass/treble filter and they were able to sound newer and cooler with just that alone.

Yeah sounds cheesy AF. but Im pretty sure it's deliberate, Sega has a thing about cheap sound effects in VF. Including voices. I bet the japanese voices are too. We can't understand them that's why they don't sound bad to us .

brother, this game came out in 2006. It might have had a facelift but its still built on literal 15 year old game. With that said, it looks very good for how old the architecture is, animations and everything. I actually think it still has some of the best fight animations for a 3D fighter ever.

Just how lazy is sega? All they did was adding one new outfit to each character for a game that was released in 2006 instead of coming up with a new game. All they want is easy money.
