    This is the best Toyota transponder key programming tutorial on CZcams. It worked for me after trying other approaches from other videos failed. Other CZcams videos miss the final critical step of starting the car with the master key to exit programming mode. Thank you.

    I bought a key set years ago on amazon, had the key cut at Home Depot (I don't think they do this anymore) and programmed the fob, but at that time couldn't find a way to program the key. Just found this video and dug that set out of a drawer. The key program worked great, and I am thrilled! I've had only a single set for 6 years and can now rest easier. I have a 2009 Toyota Sienna LE and it doesn't have the security light like yours (it may show up in the dashboard), but I waited a little over the 60 seconds you mentioned and it worked. Thank you so much!

    This was an AWESOME video! I managed to program my two keys following your easy instructions. Only difference is that for my 2008 Sienna, the light is on the dash (to the left of the speedometer) rather than by the radio. But everything worked the same, and I am so glad I found this.

    Worked perfectly with my 2009 Sienna LE. I had to do it 2-3 times before I got the instructions exactly right (I failed to keep the door open after the 6 times open/shut). Did it correctly with 2 copy keys, now I have 3 working keys! Thanks so much!

    2006 Toyota Sienna XLE--Alhamdulillah! About the 10th time I tried it it worked! 💕💕💕 This single mom thanks you a million. Never use paracord as a key chain! Mine got wrapped around my steering column and bent my key this morning almost in a 90° angle. Yikes!!! Needless to say my original intention was to go on Amazon months ago and get spare keys and program them myself. But because of the possible emergency situation not wanting my key to break off in my ignition. I went to the dealership today verified my ownership them, bought the key only and have them cut it by the VIN number (because that bent key definitely was not fitting into a tracer key machine to copy it) and told him I'd be back if I couldn't program it myself. Getting the key today costing me $45 but I saved $155 "programming fee" plus most importantly I saved hours of time wasted on a Saturday day off not having to wait, in a dealership . Now I will be getting the rest of my spare keys on Amazon as well as getting the key fob which itself at the dealership cost over $130 plus the programming fee. Again a million thanks.

      I don't know. This method works for most Gen 2 Toyotas, but a 2015 is a Gen 3, I believe.

    I bought those keys and the description has been updated to read 'THIS KEY IS NOT SELF PROGRAMMABLE IT MUST BE CUT AND PROGRAMMED BY A DEALER OR LOCKSMITH PROFESSIONAL'. And they are no longer available. Any recommendation for keys that are self programmable? Thanks.

    • @thejungleexplorer
      @thejungleexplorer  Pƙed 5 lety +1

      Thanks for alerting me to this. Obviously, these keys can be programmed by you because I clearly demonstrate it twice in this video. Here are a couple links to other keys that are compatible with the 2004 Toyota Sienna, but will also work for any other model that uses this style of key blank and requires the 4D-67 Transponder Chip. The actual self-programming method may be different for other models of Toyotas other than the 2004 Sienna as demonstrated in this video.
      OEM Toyota 4D-67 Key Blank: amzn.to/2Wa1Kci
      Aftermarket Toyota 4D-67 Key Blank: amzn.to/2FUviF1
      Hope this helps.

      @@thejungleexplorer Hi again - this worked on my 2006 Sienna but a little differently. The security light never stopped blinking so I removed the key after 5 minutes of it flashing. The copy works now and it's a good feeling to DIY for less than $20 rather than paying $150+

    • @thejungleexplorer
      @thejungleexplorer  Pƙed 4 lety +1

      You can do it before or after. It has no effect on the programming. I prefer to have the key cut first because there is a limit to how many times you can use this programming sequence, and I want to make sure the key is good before programming it.
