Saw the interview of Su and Moa and they are all grown up and beautiful. The two girls who have appeared with them both have reputations for being outstanding dancers
The 3rd girl in this music video is Kano Fujihira age: 14 from Sakura Gakuin the current 9th student council president. While Su-Metal was the 2nd student council president and MoaMetal was the 4th student council president of Sakura Gakuin.

BTW- They have another video out, a completely different song known by "Shanti," performed at Glastonbury, with a ProShot video. This one shows how they continue to experiment and surprise.
Also, NOT attending Babymetal in an ARENA when given the opportunity, no matter what else is playing in town, is the biggest missed opportunity I can imagine. I'll be watching them at The Filmore in Detroit, 2900 capacity, digging the show, but WISHING that I had the resources to travel to California and see the SPECTICAL that is Babymetal in an arena. I get that it's a bit of money, but you may never get the chance to see a show like this again.

This was the second of two concerts at Yokohama Arena, this one was June 29th, 2019.
The song uses Thai papaya salad as a metaphor for life.
It's spicy and sweet, but you have to crush the spices in a mortar to bring out the flavor.
Looks like BABYMETAL are back in a big way. There were understandable reasons why last year had a Dark Side theme.

I saw a fan cam where some people are claiming that Moa is playing the guitar I couldn't see but I could see her doing some Kate Bush style interpretive dance while Su was singing and it looked real good. I did hear that Moa was learning how to play the guitar in fact she said it herself in an interview but that was all the English language she had at the time.

There has been an announcement that there are three "Avengers" filling the third spot on rotation. There has been no mention of a permanent replacement anytime soon.

I was at Brixton Academy show last week what an experience . The crowd only went quite once when Su started singing The One . Magic is still there and as Grington said only the conspiracy theorists stoped supporting them . The true fans who still supported Su , Moa and the Kami Band . Have been rewarded . So glad to see you back reacting to Babymetal. It would have been nice to have all 3 of you there. I think the reality is that the group has come out of its period of mourning after all the tragedy. Like you said, the Joy is back.

I'd been avoiding this upload until Josh and I could react. Hell of a song! We loved the nonstop energy and hearing a rap in a BM song for the first time! Sadly our upload is blocked in "some" countries, like 6 dozen!!! ☹️ I haven't had a chance to look at the comments for yours yet but if no one else has said it, yes Roger, I've been told that Pa Pa Ya is the way the Japanese pronounce Papaya. Pretty bad ass song about fruit!!

I love the music and the vocals (and even the choreography) - but you can't ignore this part of their success formula: Su-Metal and her fellow front women project 110% commitment - they are dead serious about what they're doing and it's infectious.

Yasss! What a reaction to come home too! Where to start! This past week has been full on for the babymetal community! This track is absolutely brilliant live, I saw them at Brixton last week. The third dancer that appears in this video is kano fujihira, the current president of sakura gakuin, the idol group babymetal came from. We have met riho sayashi too. We have yet to meet the third chosen dancer. Babymetal have their spark back after the dark side of last year. Koba has really made up for what was a disastrous 2018. Kobametal the producer is actually a Lucha libre (mexican wrestling) fan.
I think that stage platform that moves up/down and forward/backwards with pyro underneath is the same or just like one used in Legend S (minus the fox heads). That is my favorite BabyMetal stage set and I am very happy to see it used again.

From the seating chart, it looked like there was a big runway down the middle.
So far all these new songs they have been playing on tour have been really awesome!! So I hope we get more vidoes of them. Even recently at their last show for Moa's 20th birthday they played a song where Moa was playing guitar in the opening part. It has more of a The One feel to it.
Anyway I think you guys should do the song "Shanti" (not official title…yet) live at Glastonbury UK. I have seen other reactions to that and it seems ok to do.
I actually liked the "dark side" they were doing. We got some good songs out of it too that will be on the album like Distortion and Kagerou (Tattoo).
One thing we can agree on is that they aren't stuck in a box musically. They will try and experiment with anything and it tends to work and it most cases work well. I agree that we will see a mix from what they have done before with some new stuff

Our girls have finally found their way home.
That's the best way I can describe it. Last year it was like they went on a trip and lost their way. Not that is was all bad, but last year it felt like Babymetal wasn't really Babymetal. Too many changes, too many deviations from the Babymetal norm, it was like they were losing track of who they were. Thank the Fox God that it was only a phase and now they've found their way back to where they should be.

React to shanti it really shows off Su's voice. The live version from Glastonbury has good sound. The new girl is from Morning Musume which is apparently the biggest selling all girl J pop group and she doesn't even get a microphone so I guess that's how big Baby Metal is now and she has to share that spot with 2 other girls. She wasn't included in the interview either.

But yeah, she was "The Ace" in Morning Musume.
And of course, she was already in Actors School Hiroshima (ASH) when Suzuka passed her audition and joined in 2006.

Actually that title belongs to AKB48. Which is the biggest selling "idol" group in Japan. Morning Musume is up there but not at that level.
I'm not a big fan of AKB48 as I think they're sucking the oxygen out of the rest of the Japanese music industry.
Many J-Artists would definitely agree with that but anyways. BabyMetal's testing the waters here.
To see who works and who doesn't. It's not easy replacing Yui-Metal here. So I can see why they are going this way.

They are rotating three "Avengers" as the supporting dancer. The 3rd person in this video is Kano Fujihara, 14 years old and current Sakura Gakuin president. So 3 Sakura Gakuin presidents in this performance. She has done two of the recent 6 concerts. Riho Sayashi formerly of Morning Musume has been in the other 4 concerts. She was at Glastonbury and Brixton. She and Su were in school together at Actor's School Hiroshima. Kana and Riho have not been miked. Speculation is the 3rd Avatar will be Saya, but she won't be available until July. In my opinion, Babymetal is going to be Su and Moa for a while. There are 3 more new songs, no official names yet.

Great reaction like always! yeah this song is more friendly but is great and fun like babymetal supost to be, and the third girls have so much energy the shows of this years have a great vibe. They are three "avengers" like they call it only two of them are show up one is still on the "shadows" the two that already all we know are Riho Sayashi (21) and Kano Fujihira (14) Riho is a veteran idol ex member of a jpop group Morning Musume and She attended the same school of acting and singing, that Su-metal when they were girls... What strikes me here with this is just how f****** good Su-Metal has gotten now. She is so far above what you normally see of most Idols. In the tradition of let's say AKB48.
That is a significant accomplishment when you consider how far Babymetal has come. The last female Japanese Idol to artist of any significance in Japan.
I remember here was probably "Namie Amuro." She was with a group called the "Super Monkeys." They really never went anywhere but Namie went on to become.
Probably the most recognized, accomplished female artist in Japanese history. Su-Metal however now isn't far away from pushing that glass ceiling either.

"Looks like the energy is back" - the only people who may have lost the energy was that portion of the fanbase who got tied up in conspiracy theories, were confused by or misunderstood what was going last year or thought costumes and hair styles were the most important things. Su, Moa, the Kami Band and so on never lost the energy. They continued put on great shows ... with lots of smiles and fun - and energy.
Why on Earth would you not go to see Babymetal?! Why even think "either Babymetal or Band Maid" (unless the dates clash or you can only afford tickets for one show), they are two completely different things? You don't have to go to the big arena show at the Forum if that is your issue (but what a show to turn up the chance of seeing that will be), there are 19 other dates all around the US in smaller venues if you want to be up close and personal to the stage. Is San Francisco too far away too?
Total agreement dont know how you could think of not going to see them in a stadium show . I was at Brixton show and it was awesome going to get my tickets for European tour next year 4 dates in UK hopfully tickets for 2 shows at least . 😁🤘🤘🤘

I am with you. when I heard they were doing an arena show in LA knowing I live on the east coast, there was no way I was missing out on that. I have my tickets. cant wait. Band-Maid is good but there is no way that choice would even be a problem with me. Band-Maid cant fill what Babymetal can. This October is going to be the best show in the country this year. and then to head line Aftershock on the next sunday. you know that is going to be good too.

As far as BabyMetal vs Band-Maid they are two totally different types of bands. Band Maid could never do a Road of Resistance Live in Japan type show and Baby Metal could never do a number like Gion-Cho. Su Metal is unmatched though. As one vocal coach reviewer said, she was born to sing on a stage.

yup ... looks like this year they use their old formula which is " Serious and Fun " starting with this song. last year is when BM got more heavy on the serious side than the fun side and this song is the mark that their " Brand New Hype Train " is moving forward.
After losing Mikio Fujioka & Yui. I really was wondering if they would make a comeback. But I guess my worries were unfounded. I really should have known better after living in Japan for a few years.
One thing I have learned about the Japanese. Is that they are incredibly resilient. Not to mention extremly driven & dedicated to the metal gods.
That surprised me a bit really. Taia, Existrance, Band-Maid, Aldious, Danger Gang, Dazzle Vision, Scandal.
All great bands I would have never expected to see there. Like most I have to admit. I wasn't quite sure what to make of Babymetal at first.
But now there is no question that this group is f****** legit. Shanti Shanti Shanti which is another single from their upcoming Metal Galaxy album.
Which I think is due to release sometime in October. Shows really just how far & diverse Babymetal has become.
Not to mention Su-Metal's vocal's in both these cases here are outstanding!! Lip Roll is really difficult to do. Su-Metal repertoire is clearly increasing!! So far looking really good here for Metal Galaxy's release. Rock on Ladies!! 🤘

Okay, as others have said, the one in the MV is Kano Fujihira of Sakura Gakuin. She is 1 of 3 "Avengers" with Riho Sayashi formal member of Morning Musume. The third has not debut and is unknown.
Despite people purposely writing outright lies that these are tryouts or a competition of the three girls for the third position. This is just more tinfoil hat delusional nonsense from the stupid for the stupid.
I understand that people were confused about the whole “Chosen Seven” thing in 2018.
It was pretty vague. But this year they clearly announced that there would be three dancers rotating in the third position. You would have to be trying pretty hard to misunderstand that.
Caught Band-Maid at the Echoplex on the 30th of September and Babymetal with Korn and Tool in my backyard here in Sack o'tomatoes. (Discovery Park is a mile away.) While l still prefer Band-Maid by a wide margin l have to say my opinion of Babymetal has risen considerably. I was wrong to judge them for being a record industry construction which they, in fact, are. The reason l was wrong is because we don't often get to choose how opportunity comes to us. We do get to choose what we do with it. Babymetal is good entertainment. I will no longer fault them for simply taking advantage of any opportunity for success and they are worth seeing.

Just an FYI: The audio for the official video is from the studio, overlaid on concert footage.
Also, Metal Galaxy's song list is not known yet. There is no guarantee that Distortion, Starlight, Elevator Girl, and Kagerou (Tattoo) will be on the album. There's no guarantee that PA PA YA!! and Shanti (Ind-metal) will be on it.
I was in Discord when the curtain dropped for Yokohama and we had reports and live clip streaming in. People lost they damn minds! Three girls, alone on the stage back in their proper costumes (derivative though they are, it's a good derivation), with the Kamis behind them. It was joyous. It still is.
Now, about the third girl(s); the new girl(s). There are three of them. We know who two of them are: Riho Sayashi and Kano Fujihara. The third third girl has not been revealed yet. Apparently the concerts are auditions to become the new permanent member. Think 'Making the Band' only with more production value and a better overall product. This is - as are most things surrounding BABYMETAL - pure conjecture at this point, but with the concert's introductory narration it seems to make sense.

Finally, the rapper's name is Fukking Hero (ฟักกลิ้งฮีโร่), or F. Hero if you prefer. It doesn't mean what you think it does, though I can't find a definitive translation for it. The only translation I have found is 'Rolling Hatch Hero' and that makes no real sense. He is a very popular Thai rapper. Award winning even.
It's a good song (that grew on me, I wasn't a huge fan at first), and I'm glad that you see the same things we do: The positivity and spirit has returned. The long, torturous year of 2018 is finally over.

Their first album, while all over the place, was full of passion and heart. Metal Resistance, though, felt kind of hollow to me. Like, the technicality was there but the passion was not. But this feels like everything I wanted them to evolve into. Mature, but still fun.

Dare I say: "Making BabyMetal great again." :-) I think you may of seen the Glastonbury version where the rap part is not there and for me, it is a better version. You sum it up very well when you say the heart is back in BabyMetal. After the elation and then disappointment of Saya, appearing in the last two concerts of last year and then not staying as a permanent replacement of Yui, there was a lot of trepidation of what would happen this year. Although no one could ever replace Yui, there are talented girls who have shown they can step in for her.
The new album is going to be packed it's going to be as good if not better than road of residence
Can't blame you for choosing to see Band Maid. They played a 2 hour set last time in London compared to a 1 hour Babymetal set. Both were awesome but seeing a great band in a small venue is always the best option compared to an arena. Obviously going to both is the best idea :)

Yes, that was BOH, he had his necklace on and that was definitely his bass. Takayoshi was on his right, playing Pink Chan and Leda with his headless guitar was next to Hideki on the drums. The masks were a tribute to Slipknot who were celebrating their 20th Anniversary
They reshot this video in 2021 which is better then this one. Su-metal rolls her R's in the new version which changes the whole sound of the song. I seen them in Sept. of 2019 as well. So so much better listening to them live in on video.
