Thanks for reacting to this one, it's one of my favorites, and often overlooked.
'Kimi to Anime Ga Mitai' is a special BABYMETAL song.
As other commenters have mentioned, it's a cover of a Kiba of Akiba release.
Unlike any other BABYMETAL cover though, it has been performed live at least twenty times, the last few with full Kami Band accompaniment.
And of course it has it's own Mikiko designed choreography.

Easily the most under-watched under-rated song they have. It's got everything you could want from a Babymetal song. Kawaii as hell, great work from the Kami band, lots of vocal participation from Yui and Moa, and of course Su just absolutely kills it.
This cover is better than the original song too

You say you can't wait for BABYMETAL to come to LA .... do you have your tickets for their first US arena show at the LA Forum on October 11th (the same day their new album 'Metal Galaxy' is to be released)? That will be a show you must not miss. They are playing 19 other dates all around the US in September and October.
Also have you heard their new single 'PA PA YA' (featuring Thai rapper F. Hero) or the other new song (being called Shanti by fans at the moment) - there are videos for both from Glastonbury UK a couple of weeks ago and an official video for 'PA PA YA' (which will get blocked if you use it for a reaction).
This was part of a collaboration with "death pop" band Kiba of Akiba - they released a 'split single'. I am quoting wikipedia here - "The single contains two original songs, one performed by Babymetal ('Iine') and one by Kiba of Akiba, and two bonus tracks. The first bonus track, "Kimi to Anime Ga Mitai - Answer for Animation with You" is a cover of the Kiba of Akiba song "Animation with You", as performed by Babymetal. The second bonus track is a remix of the Babymetal song "Doki Doki ☆ Morning", as performed by Kiba of Akiba."

Great reaction!! This song is lost right now, it's sad to say but they never gonna play it again, also is a cover of a band called kiba of akiba and they make a cover of Doki Doki Morning... But babymetal make the song even better whit the vocals of Su-metal and the power of the Kami Band that bass on the last part of the song is pure greatness 🤘😎🤘

This is one of my favorite Babymetal songs even though it is a cover song. I love the way all the ladies sing in this one.

They did a show at Glostonbury UK at the end of June this year - BBC broadcast the show and the videos (really good audio/video) are available on UT - czcams.com/users/results?search_query=babymetal+glostonbury+2019 - now you can see how they look grown up.
I saw an interview with Marty Friedman a while back where he talks about Babymetal and the way that the Japanese music scene is constantly trying out new things - throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks - Babymetal was one that really stuck.
Sadly they playing this song no more. This is the only cover version BABYMETAL ever made that got a regular release. It was part of a collaboration EP they made with the band Kiba of Akiba. While BABYMETAL did a cover of "Answer for Animation with you" (here's the original: czcams.com/video/XAk2b4_Tges/video.html ) Kiba of Akiba made a cover-version of "Doki Doki Morning" (cover-version of DDM: czcams.com/video/QeRV4szlY3g/video.html )

You got to listen to the new stuff. Hope you already got your tickets like me to LA because nkt many left. Most of their smaller shows selling fast. Pa pa ya from Glastonbury is better than official video and Shanti is kick ass. They have 2 more new songs but they are only from fan cams.
This song does not appear on their two CD's and others have commented about it. For me, it has everything that makes BabyMetal super wonderful. I get completely mystified how people can watch this performance and still not 'get' BabyMetal. You have the kawaiiness, Su's voice and the Kami Band all producing a fantastic spectacle that has to be seen and heard to be believed. Thanks for your reaction. I actually feel a bit sad now because this can't be repeated. Yes, BabyMetal can still perform it but Su and Moa are grown up and whoever the third person(s) will be, is not Yui.

I get what you mean, I sometimes feel the same when, for instance I watch an old performance of Onedari... love that song, the choreo is just too much for words... But then, they put out an absolute blast of a song like Shanti, and I feel better again, I know they've still got it in them to put out new epic performances....

I'm not really a fan of their cover songs, with few exceptions. But other fans seem to really like this song, so apparentl I'm the odd one. :-)
I'd like to see you react to one of their new songs "Pa Pa Ya" or "Shanti" (inofficial name). Both are great! But you probably can't show them just like that without getting blocked.
