- October 18 | Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Courts Subcommittee, delivers the twenty-fifth in a series of speeches titled “The Scheme,” exposing the machinations by right-wing donor interests to capture the Supreme Court and achieve through the Court what they cannot through the elected branches of government.
Whitehouse discusses the billionaire-funded flotillas of front groups that influence the Supreme Court, and how they’re weighing in during the current term.
'The Scheme' presentations should be mandatory viewing for all registered voters. Thank you Sen. Whitehouse.

@@hipoman8087 Yes, we vote blue, and then let them know what we want them to do, and that we’ll stand behind them when they do the right thing. For one, we’d like them to move to amend the Constitution to say that “Corporations are not people, and money is not speech”, and to limit campaign contributions, so the people don’t have their representatives voting for the interests of the ultra wealthy and corporations.
The entire country needs to see this on a loop.
From Scheme 1 thought Scheme 25 or until The Once Supreme Court works for the people of the USA, not just for the Wealthiest people!

We are a republic but so who funded all the new justices Biden put in? And check your IRA if it is decreasing it’s bc they are knowingly investing in ESG’s which perform less than half of regular investments and much lower than the stock market. They are supposed to invest in the best possible. I researched our IRA bc it went down 1/4 in worth. Sure enough ESG’s . We have a lot of schemes and dishonesty going on. So weird.
No wonder Billionaires $$$$ are behind and funding overthrow of democracy to install a Dictator, . Then they can just get rid of all the legislative apparatus and administrative agencies so only one person will have “ total and absolute power” and “ total and absolute immunity “. No more need to go through as much and wait and depend on 6 Justices to decide their “ fake cases”. Just so they have a far right trumpist as Dictator. They have been working on this for decades. Mitch McConnell is in this so deeply. Lenard Leo also. They all need to be locked away now! But, of course they will not. This needs to be out for everyone to see. Why is it not? Senator Whitehouse, I trust, but the others not so much. Not Schumer! He has no spine and is afraid to open his mouth.

In NH, the SOS website shows reimbursements for many all-expenses-paid trips by State Legislators to attend Heartland Institute and ALEC conferences. Then we hear their talking points and boxes of propaganda end up in legislators' mailboxes, and the Koch-inspired (often written) legislation is pushed through the legislative process.
