I've been watching football since 2002/03 season and Gvardiol is the best center back prospect that I've ever seen. It's incredible how good is at so many things at just 20.
Don't lie here dude
Rio Ferdinand at West Ham & Leeds was the best I've seen since the early 2000's and i am a united hater.... Gvardiol looks like a winger stick in the centre back positions.
@@ibrahimovicjunior5443except he actually knows how to defend really really well, don’t bring up Messi…Messi makes anyone look mid.
@rumplestilskin223 why u mad 😂😂😂😂
@@sw33tialucard I'm not saying he doesn't know how to defend... Read again, Ferdinand is the best i've seen a CB talent since the early 2000's
I‘ve watched him in the Bundesliga, he is one of the best CB prospects I ever saw. I‘m super excited what a club like City and a trainer like Guardiola will do with him :)
And he is going to be coached by the best manager
Kovacic and now Gvardiol. 🇭🇷 🇭🇷 🇭🇷 Brilliant pickups by Man City. And their games will only get better... like Modric under Zidane.
I believe Gvardiol is a faster & more agile Laporte
Arn't Manchester City already unbeatable ?
Phil Foden just turned 23 and already won 5PL titles, 1 UCL title, 2 FA Cups, 4 League Cups, 1 U17 World Cup and the Super Cup and Club World Cup to play for this season.
He'll likely become the most successful player in the history of English football by the age of 25, with another 7 - 9 years left in his career.
I think that stat confirms Manchester City are already as close to unbeatable as it's possible to get 😊.
Love Foden
@@sw33tialucardThat is without mentioning Alvarez, whom just won the world cup, epl, FA Cup and Champions league at the age of 23
Mateo Kovacic won 3 CL titles with 24 (and the 4th with 27)
@@mario2967 I did mention he'd be the most successful player in English football. My knowledge of European and World football players honours is not that great, but your point is taken and noted.
Lucio was great breaking the press by dribling and creating shots. i still remember him sprinting past entire teams in the Bundesliga for Leverkusen and Bayern
For those criticizing Gvardiol, Man City have not brought him for what he is now but what he might become in 3-4 years time. Real Madrid's conviction that Arda Guler and Endrick will become world class is the reason that they brought them and not because of what they are.
I think they're also brining him for what he is now, he's arguably a World Class CB already - plus who is criticising him? Everyone in the comments is saying how good he is.
@@dddgtsd he was the best CB at the world cup NOW, he's like the Erling Haaland of defenders, already great and among the best and still very young.
Endrick or Guller proven, where?
Gvardiol was playing for the
EURO 1/4 final
UCL x 2 (scored vs City and Real)
EL x2 (semifinal and 1/4 final)
WC bronze - best CB at the WC in age of 20
LN silver with Croatia
Proven in BL for 2 seasons
Won 5 trophies
And he’s just 21.
Only Maldini was playing at that level in his ages when he was the best defender at the WC in age of 21.
Arda & Endrick are talents.
Gvardiol is already among best defenders itw.
Pep just needs to polish him & adapt to PL & he’ll become Ferrari among world’s defenders.
Amazing mindset!
He just needs to stay healthy!
Haaland is salivating at seeing some of those forward passes
Just wait for Writz signing then he'll be drooling non-stop 😂
This signing is monumental and mental at the same time... City's defence is already amazing and now crazily they add the best, toughest young defender in the world....... Pep is a genius!!!
The lad is basically a consistent prime Van Dijk.
Elegance of Maldini
Im so glad for Josko he"s a great guy wish him all the best in city❤❤
The bit at the end about Croatians😂😂
Great stuff mate. As a City fan you brought a smile to my face and the weird thing is that I saw this just now with the Gvardiol signing confirmed by City about an hour ago. I hope you're right about just how good Josko is and best of luck to Newcastle this season.
Garvadol ability to hold the ball is like Jones stones
He has more tech than Stones though
Its gonna break my heart to see him go to city, man u doesn’t have enough brain cells in their scouting department to make a signing like this
They don't have the money, spent it all in Antony 🤣
Its the fact you let De Gea go without a real replacement 😂 I pray Man U actaully produces or I fear for the results.
@@caesiuum1345they did get onana
@@ChaosInColour de gea for onana is going backwards for Man U. They could have gotten someone like Sommer for De Gea easily. Madrid had interest 2yrs ago for De Gea so I do not think his value has gone down drastically since then.
@@caesiuum1345 I’m no United fan so no bias but Onana has potential to be a solid keeper for united. I agree Sommer would’ve been better but still I don’t think their keeper position is the problem that will strike them next season
Gvardiol is brilliant, no arguments here, but those Shot Creating Action stats looked pretty similar to Ake's. The green/red bars were, i assume, from comparing against different criteria. Bundesliga vs EPL maybe?
I noticed that too.. gvardiol has green bars on stats that are less than ake’s while he has a red bar
@@nathanquisenberry495 He takes a lot of risks, I think Gvardiol and Colwill are the best passing young defenders... they don't care about having a high pass accuracy, they play the ball vertical every chance they get.
@@nathanquisenberry495 Yes but its mostly because of the way Leipzig and City play. City control the posession thats why even tho Ake has great numbers its not that good compared to other players, while Gvardiol does similar numbers in a much tougher environment for him.
Bro City already having the best deffenders in the world right now, Dias Stones Ake Akanji Walker Laporte... and now they signed Gvardiol..
TOO PERFECT!🔥
Great content! I learnt so much. Getting my copy of 442!
This guy is a beast of a player
We won't sign Garvidol, we did just sign Gvardiol 😂
At City Gvardiol will play as Def.Midfielder with Stones and Rodri he will replace Gundogan
What did I just read 🤣
No he won't, but he will play a similar role to Stones
Already near invincible
Amazing to think Laporte was City's best defender. Now he's surplus to requirement.
Best defender ahead of Dias? I think not?
@@olebogengncube79before dias arrived to city
Croatian Revolution 👌
Great video!
Wow...wonderful analysis
Extraordinary video
Saliba is a press resistant centre back
They already are
This is like the golden state warriors getting kevin durant lmao
Timber is a press resistant cb imo
Pepe gonna make the next thing. ❤
Croatian sensation...
Gvardiol now doing 5v5 with Haaland. Scary
Sucks that it will Ale that will be benched for Gvardiol. Ale hs been phenomenal
Who’s Ale? Aké won’t be benched, Akanji will.
@@r.w.7768it’ll be Ake that’s benched because Gvardiol is left footed. Pep won’t have two left footed CBs in a back 3. It’ll be Gvardiol, Dias, and Akanji starting. The depth they have is absurd
@@alfonsogayman9699 your argument is weird, why wouldn’t Pep play two leftfooted cbs in a back three? Just put Dias on the right and Gvardiol in the middle. Problem solved
@@r.w.7768 Your football knowledge is weird. There is no way in hell, no way whatsoever that Dias will play out on right in Akanjis position. So Gvardiol will either replace Ake, or play Dias position when Guaradiola rests him
@@H8M0ndays it’s better than your ”knowledge” will ever be, but whatever makes you sleep at night kid
I love watching this now cos Bernardo is staying and so is Kyle 😂😂😂 8:37
Paquetá coming in too 😩 we’re cooking again
I said 6 weeks ago if man city sign him its game over and will cost Real Madrid and Barcelona there big boy status 😂
Barcelona ald lost the status after messi went to psg
How did you get them stats
yes yes he is
Licha is also press resistance
Pep hates to explain things many times, he likes smart and intelligent players and Josko meets that expectations (as it does Akanji).
He would fit the Stones role maybe even better than Stones.
It will take a while tho
This channel is on the verge of being big, how did it even start
442 is a really famous football magazine, been going for decades.
@@dddgtsd interesting.
Lisandro Martinez helllooo
žosko garvadol?
well they didnt sign that guy
I am so surprised that Man City can get him without competition from other big clubs.
that is because he doesnt fit in lot of playstyles some clubs play, clubs like Leipzig he helped them keep their shakey defense as they play offesnive football but end up concceding a lot which was shown last year, but Leipzig played with lot of possession and so does Croatia so going to a team playing possession fits Gvardiol perfectly
every transfer window Pep signs 2 new defenders.
As Sir Alex Ferguson once said defence wins you titles but attack wins you games. Look what happened when Pep sorted out the defence this year.
because city problem where defenders dias was gem our defense for year was shit after Kompany depicture
I don't think so in 2019/20seaoson they lost Kompany city don't sign any and they are second because la Porte and stones injury half the season they used rodri and fernandinho in center back that's why now they don't wanna make that mistake again and if you look back sir Alex sign sign every player he one he even try to sign Maldini and Zidane too look every year United sign if you compared todays money they are all 40 +50millions +
He could be Puyol for City.
Aaaahhh Saliba?
Its like having peak KdB and VVD in one player 🫠
Do you think Bastoni could do likewise?
What in heaven's name happened to your mustache?
It looks a little 1940's if you know what i mean...
John stone was perfect last season dont diss it
Gundo is gone, better add Mahrez then, oh he is gone too, OK, then add Kovacic, or Foden, or Palmer! Alvarez needs game time too! Even with the departures, there are so many choices!
12 years f city
Club legend potential
is the kaiser back?
nice
Josko Garvadol? His name is literally the same as Guardiola's, but you don't add the "a" at the end. Gvardiol.
We lost one of the big 3 crazy good retention
Man City bought beast !
Its pronounced Josko not Yosko
Those Gvardiol stats actually... don't impress me compared to Ake. Those BARS are nice, but when you look at the numbers, EVERY SINGLE ONE of those stats are LOWER than Ake's, but his comparative percentiles are showing him much higher. He's got less than half as many passes into the penalty area, but is in the 59th percentile, while Ake is in the 2nd.
The groups these guys are being compared against are definitely different as all hell.
(That said, Gvardiol is still frighteningly good regardless)
While I do see your point. I think we can safely assume Gvardiol will improve in all facets under Pep. Especially being a very good system fit. For him to have the confidence and capabilities already present prior to entering Pep School is really what I found most valuable
Right but Gvardiol passes the eye test when it comes to ball progression and that matters a lot for City’s attacking
That's cuz City dominates the ball way more than Leipzig
mate Paul Dummett would have impressive stats if he played for City, lets see Gvardiol's stats after a year in the City team. Leipzig are good but nowhere near as well drilled so that will impact his stats compared to a good player like Ake in there.
Gvardiol is only 21 years old. City acquired him for the next 10 years.
This guy sounds like your man's biggest fan 😂
Ake 2029 😍😍
Dude Ipswich just made him look like a chump! Coyb! ❤
You mean a 1-0 victory in a friendly? It would have been better for you to talk about that time when Messi destroyed him in the WC or when Haaland score 5 goals against him in 55 minutes in the UCL.
According to my mom :)
He’s just John stones in his current form except he’s 21
Bruh, but man city is already invincible
Too late now
have u seen madrid
yes, last time i saw them got spanked by City 4-0
im a city fan, im jus sayin the got way better@@shah1668
TECHNICALLY, City didn't win the CWC or the Community Shield...
Or the carabao cup
As a City fan, I feel sorry that we keep doing Ake like that. I mean, my man just had the best season of his career and was a top 3 pl defender last season and now we have to bench him for Josko
Well he signed for the clup now and he is the second most expensive def with 77.6M£ ☺️☺️
Hi I'm Adam from What Culture.
Got Paul Breach vibes from the start of this I'm so sorry Adam 😂

Bundesliga tax?
Does it in the ucl tho tbf
which ucl😂he conceded 7 in one game 😂
@shawn-ln4cr true lmao. If u can't beat them join them 😆
Doesn't apply to City, Gundogan, KDB, Sane, Akanji, heck even Ortega. Oh and even Kompany! all have been brilliant for City.
@@ShivaChettri good point. Pep is a genius
Yeah sure, INVINCIBLE Like that LIONEL MESSI dance he was made to dance in the WC by an old GOAT. Many great players dont reach their potential by merely getting into a good team. Lets not lose shit, lets keep it crossed now.
Wrong. Lisandro and Timber are similarly press resistant and have good ball carrying ability.
😂😂😂 Who you Say Timber😅😅😅
With the loss of Gundugan and Mahrez, i think Man City will not do well this season. First is the moral loss of the winning team. Lossing a captain in Gundugan and also Mahrez is demoralizing to the team. Its takes time to create a winning team, the bonding between players on and off the field is difficult to replace instantly. I will not be surprised if Man City will only win the FA Cup this season.
OMG Adam from Whatculture 🧉
