Cata was the expansion I started playing wow....love it...later expansions were fine too...all were fast paced....the reason why classic wow feels slow and kinda boring...bt cata and mop my all time favs
cata may not be the best expansion, but I love it nevertheless, my favourite leveling zone is cata, except for vashj'ir, fuck that place
What makes Wow unforgettable to me is the music. They have been nailing it with every single expansion and will continue to do so as long as they have these master ears. Great job Blizzard! Only I could wish that you give us a Series that is enriched by the so deep lore and great music. Although it may be costly, there is a huge source and potential for greatness if someone with a big bank decides to take the whips.
I can't describe the nostalgia I get whilst listening to this, the sleepless nights, the countless days I've skipped highschool just to stay at home and level but none the less they were great memories...World of Warcraft is an escape from shitty life itself.
6:30 and 7:19 are my favorite parts, sometimes I go to mount Hyjal and just chill to those parts
The final peak, the last heartbeat, the concluding breather of a magnificent game. For me unforgotten how good Cata was. The sory ended with it

Strangly I loved cataclysm the best, It had the best questline, the most emotion dramatic and suspense and I felt really involved how the world was changing.
Nothing beats the duo Harp/oboe at 9:10. Epic!
The Mt Hyjal music at the very start of this video is the best WoW zone music ever, IMO... and that's saying a lot, given how incredible so much of the music in this game is. It just hits all of the feels buttons.

I never complicated firelands on my druid...nor did I help in the daily area there I feel like I failed the World Tree...

I can imagine this music playing in the final battle of all of WoW, when we finally face Sargeras, all of the emotion and memories will culminate in that one decisive battle...When we finally see the Titans and destroy Sargeras...

After all this time we finally got to come into this zone. A pity we couldn't sightsee on account of us having to save it from becoming a clean burning hell. Also a pity we had flight all throughout this expansion, I felt that walking through this zone would've given it more impact.
Other characters I usually went to Vash'ir first but on my druid it just felt right to come *here* first, join my fellow druids to save Hyjal and all that. *shrugs*

Another good cata zone (even though there are maybe 3 or 4) is Uldum. Its music is so calming.

63Limar Personally I didn't enjoy Vashj'ir a lot, but out of all of the three mini-zones I did like the Shimmering Expanse.

relaxing, yet nice for combat
this is the best sound track in wow in my opinion :)
those rares were soloable at first, but at 90 some of them became a pain in the ass, with those moves that were hard to strategize over in an a split second which caused you to get killed, but they are a pretty good challenge.
This bit of music was the best thing about Cata. WOTLK had the best zone music, but this is right there with it.
Say whatever u want about cata but this Zone is great.

Haven't really given that a thought before, but its true. Teaming up with randoms when quests actually were hard to beat down mobs and elites. Made some friends in that, even some that lives close by me xD

Sound clip 0:00 to 1:20 is called Nightsong from the Cata soundtrack
The first song can be found in the Nightsong soundtrack right after the choir
The intro plays in too many places commonly passed while questing in zones overhauled in Cataclysm. By the time you hear it in Hyjal, you'll associate it with NPCs fighting and not really accomplishing anything.
Which zones? I don't remember hearing it in
Randjan, Ashenvale is one example of the zones that he mentioned.

This is quite possibly the best zone in Cataclysm, and the only one I truly enjoy leveling in. The Highlands is also somewhat okay, and Uldum was great the first time, but too many cinematics. Hyjal is hands down the biggest treat of the Cataclysm leveling experience. Fighting with Ysera, Hamuul, Cenarius, Malfurion, and Jarod was incredible.

This is my favorite piece of all, I still remember flying around the first time doing nothing but listening to the music I fell into a trance since it went perfectly with how beautiful hyjal was

In my opinion, people hated Cataclysm because it was more difficult than Wrath of the Lich King at launch. Then when they got to 85 they either complained that it was too easy or not enough to do because they nerfed nearly everything they expansion had as time went on.

I believe there was one part I heard in Mount Hyjal which reminded me of eversong forest. It's part with violin, though I'm not sure if it was in Mount Hyjal actually. Can you help? I really liked that soundtrack.

Can someone help me? I've been searching for a song I used to hear everytime I went to Hyjal to do the "everyday quests " in cataclysm (dunno the name for those quests in english, I'm french, sorry!) and it was really beautiful, but it wasn't this one. It was calm but with a sad melody, I always stopped on the mountains to listen, but now I can't find it! Does anyone have an idea?
