Seems like I'm in the minority in that I actually liked this raid. It was a bit lazy to just throw waves at you followed by a boss with a reused model, sure, but it still had a total sense of urgency lacking in most raids, and this music helped with that feeling. And hell, it was pretty damned cool to participate in the defining battle of Warcraft 3.
They made it truely feel like a battle to be honest, wave upon wave of undead until a badass boss turned up. The coolest thing is they share exactly the same names as the WC3 undead hero mobs that are summoned, back when Blizz gave a shit about immersion.
@@CraftyPanda92 except the caster mobs, which are called shadowy necromancers instead of simply necromancers, same thing for the skeleton warriors which are called skeleton invaders and infernals being called giant infernals, azgalor doomguards are also called lesser doomguards
I like it though felt like the army and heroes marching and gaining ground battling there way to the tree to save it
You know if you play the wc3 version it was the same way just waves of enemies then a boss would show up then you had to help the other two bases before they fell
tbc > real life
Agree bro,miss old TBC...TBC ABOVE everything !
11:03 Absolute chills, when I hearing this, my body feels like preparing for battle...
Same exact music played when archimond fell in the Warcraft 3 cinematic years prior. Absolutely love that they added this little Easter egg into his death animation In BC.
This instance was like fighting as a soldier in warcraft 3. Great work from blizz here.
forever one of my favorite raids
I remember the time when my guild was like "Lets go Hyjal and farm the trash" :D
yeah and someone will always ninja the fist anyway
it feels amazing when you solo it now
when you clear it all, it's really feels like unique place in Vanilla world, that was always there
i think maybe it's great when you have a great party, but i never had so many trustworthy friends lol
as i went through this raid i kept going "ah yes that happened" as i remembered the events of WC3 ha
Way more epic than hellfire citadel
I like how the soundtrack is thematically inspired by the Orc and Undead music from Warcraft III, very fitting.
Oh, there are also occasional references to the Reign of Chaos main menu music too, if you pay closer attention.
To be honest - being a kid and not knowing shit about the game was much less stressful than being an adult and not even thinking about the game.
I wish I could be a kid once more and once more join a WoW raid with little to no responsibilities in real life. The risk of being interrupted by your parents is still better than knowing that you have to be up tomorrow for work if you don't want to be fired.
This is one of those types of music that gives you that, "No hope" feeling. I remember coming here the first time and hearing the music gave me the creeps. But then as you kill and move along it motivates you. From 8:49 and on, I was ready to kill and finish this shit!!!
Great work putting this one on.
0:00 Abandon all hope! The Legion has returned to finish what was begun so many years ago. This time, there will be no escape!
8:49 No! It cannot be! Noooooooooooooooooo!
Still remember the precious mines along the mountain
Hold them off as long as possible!
*angry roar on ventrilo* WHO THE FUCK TALKED TO JAINA!
It's from the original soundtrack I believe, it's called "The Shaping of the World"
ugghhh The waves, the waves!!!!!
We must hold strong!
8:44 FTW
fitting for probabely the most epic battle in warcraft history
yeeh,especially when archimonde comes ;)
All of your efforts have been in vain, for the draining of the World Tree has already begun! Soon, the heart of all world will beat no more!
Best part starts at 6:06
8:44 is from "shaping of the world" you can find videos of just that part on ytube too :p
shaping of the world plays during original vanilla wow installation
Me&my freind 2 manned this on our 85's =P
Even though it took a but load of time lol
@solja19k I totally agree. The music from 8:45 is by far the most epic! Acctually it's one of the most epic tunes I've ever heard :D
At what point does Shaping of the World play?
8:50
Doing this level in warcraft 3 is quite hard aswell ^^
首席健康生活館燒極好批ˋˋˋˋˋˋˋˋˋˋˋˋˋ
Is Shaping of the world really plays in Hyjal?
The Shaping of the World has never been used in-game
@@gregorystand it's used ingame, in hyjal summit duh:P
Not really.
8:43 but that one actually wasn't in the game, was it?
A small pice of it came After the Installation of the vanilla version with the six CDs ^^
Don't get me wrong this music is great but I associate it with trash waves during raid progression nights...
