Hi Mark, Good to see that you picked up the Vinegar Syndrome 4K edition of “Death Wish 2” I had Mike from DAGUE films pre ordering this one for us, as I had a feeling that the slipcover would sell out fast, otherwise I tend to go for my U.S editions from WOW HD, I do remember that the U.K. vhs release from RCA Columbia pictures was cut as it was the first vhs that I ever purchased, bought from a vhs store, don’t know where you watched the uncut version in the U.K. 🤔 It wasn’t til I ordered a Dutch dvd release that I finally watched the uncut version & I can see why as it’s a lot more unsettling in one scene 😳. But what a superb release from Vinegar Syndrome 😎
Its a great release and one i am looking forward to watching, the only problem i have now is my daughter watches films with me now and even though she is Seventeen, i still can't watch it lol, will wait until she is back at college to give it a watch. Really looking forward to the extra's on the Blu-ray disc so one of the great reasons for going region free.
I like slipcovers but I've learned to just let it go if they don't have one and especially for VS since theirs are numbered. Not sure if I'll be getting this edition since I have all of them on blu-ray (MGM Triple Feature 2,3,4 set). Thanks for sharing Mark! Great looking release from VS!
I always wanted slipcovers when i first started but like you i can take them or leave them now. To be honest i was just after an uncut version of Death wish 2 but managed to find the 4K second hand and it was only £3 more than the Blu-ray so thats the only reason i picked it up. I try my best to keep to a budget lol.
The picture on the 4K looked really nice. What aspect ratio is the TV cut of the film? I'm going to wait and see if they do a box set. I find it strange that Kino Lorba do Region A BD's in their 4K's they just greatly restict their market. Same for any other US label. Trevor
Hi mate, according to the back of the case, very small writing, it says 1.85.1, the directors cut is 92 mins and the tv cut is 95 mins, i should have said that in the video but i always forget to say things, nerves i guess. The Blu-ray is locked to reg A. i also don't know why they lock discs, only a small amount of the market are collectors, most people wouldn't really import so its a shame.

Death Wish 2 is an awesome sequel. Great pickup there, Mark.
Its a shame that you still can't get this film uncut in this country as i think a lot more films that are more graphic have.
