Hi everyone! What grade (out of 10) would you give this video?
10
@@roybarnes282 hahahahaah
10, absolutely. Andrew Divoff was an amazing djinn.
1
"You can't kill that which is immortal. But if it's any consolation, that hurt like hell." My favorite line of the whole movie.
My favorite line is "It's Wishin' Time!"
I like that line too@@SergioLeRoux
I like that scene a ton too
@@SergioLeRoux And then he wished all over the place.
He didn’t used a little pea shooter either
Never even heard of this movie, but hats off to the actor. I have zero context for the plot, but already from the dude's acting alone I can tell
"Oh yeah, that's Satan. Or a very high-level demon."
oh they are campy fun for films.
Ever heard of Aladdin?
He’s a Djinn. Look up what it is, it is typically shown to be a high-level demon, but it’s not from Christianity at all. It’s actually a form of genie, but the kind that if you aren’t too careful with can turn all your wishes against you (such as, you might wish for eternal youth, and then the Djinn turns you into a one-year old baby for all eternity. Or, wishing for a thousand dollars, then having your entire body be filled with a thousand dollars, killing you instantly. That sort of deal).
@@datwitchyswordfan Genie is just a family friendly Disneyfied pronunciation of Djinn. And like the demons, they had many class and catagories. Some are really powerful, some are weak, some are solitary, some often mingle with people, some wicked, some kind etc.
@@datwitchyswordfanThey’re not “high level demons”, they’re just djinns, beings from Arabian and Muslim mythology that live alongside humans, but hidden from human eyes.
Wishmaster feels like if you combined agent smith and pinhead together.
With a sprinkle of Jim Carrey
@@zoyadulzura7490as The Mask
Yeah I can see that now you've said it.
And a dash of Warlock!
3:34 The way they shot this so it looks like the plane just crashed in like five seconds is so damn funny.
Is that not what happened
@@zrATT_well eeeeeeexcuuuuuuussseee meee
"I want you to leave and never come back."
End of movie. Roll credits.
He would probably just find another way to find Alexandra if the security guard didn’t make that wish.
🤣🤣🤣that's not how the djinn works 🤣good 1
"I wish you didn't ruin people's lives with wishes."
Umm, horrific as that "wish" was, it's even worse at second glance. The guard wished to *SEE* him "go through" which means our living expression of the Monkey's Paw meme left him alive and fused with the door to witness the dude approach and phase through. Only then did he die and shatter.
Yup that was my first impression too.
It's even worse, as you can hear him screaming while the djinn was walking through him. He was alive, aware, and in agony for every moment of that.
What I hate about his powers is that he doesn't have to adhere to every wish. The man was directly told to leave and yet he didn't, he broke that wish.
@@cupoftea3499 As pointed out in the second film, he has full discretion over what wishes he does and doesn't grant. You can't wish him into non-existence, because he can just choose not to grant that one wish. He isn't bound to grant any three wishes save for the ones of the person who originally freed him, so he's always got the choice of when and what to grant and when to grant it.
@@FirstLast-cg2nkYeah but he was leaving, meaning he was in the process of doing it. That should be against the rules since it would be like asking a genie to conjure up 1 million dollars but stopping them partially through to cancel the wish and then still gaining the money that was made without expending a single wish. If he was in the process of granting a wish he shouldn't be able to just stop doing it.
That shift in facial expression right when the guard said those words is astounding. You could feel the sinister intent that he was now free to act on.
Fun fact: The security guard is played by Kane Hodder, known for playing Jason Voorhees. So this scene is basically Jason being killed by a cosmic being.
The Undisputed King of 'Malicious Compliance'
Thing I needed to read
"I'd like to see you go through me."
Wishmaster: "Really poor choice of words."
the practical effects may be a bit cheesy- but this movie certainly was quite enjoyable.
This isn't a practical effect.
@@sleepcrime fine, the early 2000's CGI then.
Even if it's old effects, seeing some of those effects a man being become a part of glass in a shocked expression then being walked through and then shattering, the effect didn't have to be super scary, it's how it happened and what happened that made it scarier.
@@ReapersChannel26no... sorry. I just laughed 😅
Lowly Security Guard had defeated the Wishmaster
If only for a moment
He might be Kane Hodder.
Damn homeboy glassed his ass
0:49 that look to the camera is amazing!
They picked the perfect actor to play the djinn
Andrew Divoff was born to play this role.
So true. He's perfect
2:01 honestly I’ve never seen this movie, but without any context when I saw this part, it made me laugh, and I got serious Steven Seagal‘s vibes
You might want to watch it sometime as this is just a small part in just how awesome it is. I don’t know if you live where Tubi is available, but it’s on there if that helps.
I almost forgot that was tha Original Jason Vorhees
Not the original but certainly the best.
Wishmaster had a lot of horror legends: Robert Englund, Tony Todd, Sam Raimi, and many more.
@@job489 The director did a special effects and makeup in a lot of horror movies before he directed Wishmaster, so it wouldn't surprise me that he was able to get a bunch of them due to working with them before.
0:32 "Shit. This guy can't be broken"
Oh, wait...
I swear, the Djinn was fucking with the guard on that.
@@sumthingwikked4257 Yep. That guard is the first one who make him frown.
That Wishmaster is such a wily chap!
This guy should have been an Agent in the Matrix.
I wish that this wish isn't granted.
Extreme Ghostbusters reference?!
Nice try. If it's a wish to be not granted, it will never have been, therefore, trick no good.
I want you to leave.
I want you to leave this universe.
That's it. This could have been the end. I loved the frustrated face. 🤣 But of course the guard had to have a final word.
The more clips I'm fed of this movie the more I realized it should have been called "Hassling security guards."
That guard was so *Glassy*
Don’t You Mean He Was So “Transparent”?
@@PHN-2024 And completely fall apart 🤣
The actor must have been shattered filming that
@@peteandurnot After His Performance, the Actor spent years picking-up the Pieces of His Career.

Jason Voorhees himself, against the Wish Master.
Should have stayed mute.
@@FireBowProductions
I guess he didn’t know he was messing with The Wishmaster.
Damn so the Djin beat jason and freddy in this film 😅
that security guard didnt he play jason voorhees
Yes it's Kane Hodder. He played Jason in parts 7 through 10
I have had a talk with my lawyer and he told me that "I would love to see this." is merely a description of a feeling under fictional circumstances , NOT an actual real wish. 🧐
Well, an evil genie twisting what people say into what he wants is the point of the movie.
your lawyer is an authority on what counts as a wish to supernatural beings?
Only the one who awakens the Djinn must wish formally in order to kickstart the apocalypse.
Everyone else... Is just another soul for the Djinn.
Lawyers can argue anything. It could be interpreted as something he longs to see and wants it to happen.
Why the hell isn’t Wishmaster in Mortal Kombat yet?
Two letters: OP
@@nightstar11801 and Omniman isn’t?
@@nightstar11801 Djinn cannot use his unlimited power if no one doesn't make their wishes.
Somehow they would ruin him. Like they ruined mk1
Because why would he be….
"I wish for unlimited power with no restrictions or downsides I would not want."
You are now a Djinn.
@@Taverens_PullFor what I understood, a Djinn can use it's power only when someone wishes for something and this is theoretically a restriction, no? The wish in this case specifically asked for no restrictions. Sorry for my bad english
And you might get it… until the other shoe drops and the Djinn uses some back door to take your soul
You instantly die.
You get power, use it until you get bored, and unmake yourself completely, killing you before you make the wish.
@@randomanon8408 Couldn't you just limit your power somehow? Why killing yourself? The power itself doesn't have restrictions, but maybe you can put some restrictions to yourself by using the power, like manipulating your mind to believe that your power has some limits and/or things like this. Or it doesn't make sense?
Kane Hodder, the ultimate Jason Voorhees 👏🏻🍻
Vorhees vs wishmaster
1:03 - 1:06 This is a bit far-fetched but, why does he looks like (The face) *Papa Meat/Meat Canyon* when he became part of the glass door 😅.
For some reason, this is the scene that stuck with me for so many years!
It seems like you’re good as long as you don’t make some smart ass comment to the Wishmaster
Isn't that the man behind the hockey mask?
Huh. This movie just randomly popped into my head today (after not having thought about it in almost 30 years) and I jump on CZcams and it's just there.
Of all the hundreds of thousands of people jumping on youtube and watching this, some would definitely have randomly thought of it recently. Simple statistics.
It's amazing how the telepathy algorithms have come along.
Awesome actor. Not sure how I missed this film. The Wishmaster has amazing charisma.
Guy played it perfectly
Great film with a great premise and brilliant actor.
0:49 you can the The Price is Right theme going off in his head
Security Guard just Had to be a smartass…
Need to see this movie ASAP 😮
02:21 - the only wish without "consequences" for the wisher.
That and "I want you to leave".
On the other hand, they would've had a brand new security system if it didn't shatter.
The key to getting what you want from the wish master is to ask for something selflessly evil.
Example: I wish for the zombie apocalypse.
Ok but u are killed by zombies
That's good I don't want to live in a shit hole world full of zombies.
Cameo by Kane Hodder aka Jason Voorhees. Also this was early cgi mixed with practical. Looks cheesy and awesome.
Freddy Kruger was the forklift driver if memory serves, and the Candyman was a security guard at the rich man's mansion.
Thanks!
0:11 this guy is on every movie.😂
Ok, just point the psychopathic immortal-demon shapeshifting-wizard in the right direction & you will get everything you ever wanted "and" get to live...
I like this guy's style. Need to look up this, Andrew Divoff. :)
I wish for a million dollars. Gold bars come out of his stomach lol
As powerful as he is he can't make a world without evil and he can't hurt you if you don't make a statement which involves you being granted something by your words but if you are specific about the circumstances enough he can't hurt you in any way unless it's indirect like that guys mother he could not hurt him physically but he does emotionally but I will say this he is hilarious with his twisting of words and how he doesn't have to do any of it sometimes.
seems like a classic for me
It was. If i recall it was 4-5 movies. 2 of which has different Jins.
By today's standards this scene would have worked fabulously as an ARG Analog Horror film...I can already picture the dialogue with the photos of the two while they're talking and suddenly the video cutting to the creepy image of the guy inside the glass!
Why IS he tuning into palpatine?
that special effect....wtf man ahahahah i dont remember it being that bad the glass just turned into clear pizza and then poof 🤣🤣
A wish but with a twist!
Million dollars? Very limited by his imagination.
Well he did mention he’s not very greedy lol. He was trying to be humble about it. Because who knows what would happen if you wish for too much lol.
Poor Kane Hodder lol
Wouldn't he be breaking his own rules though? He didn't leave when he was directly told to.
remember making a deal with the devil will always have negative karma..
Cheap movie, but entertaining. And the actor is brilliant!
surely the whole plot is foiled when you ask the wish master to just die xD
Wait, is that Kane Hodder?
Looks like a Tim and Eric clip
Thats the man who played Jason voorhees right?
Wait that was Kane Hodder !
I've watched thgat movie Once., on the television., so that's.... so, that's., around 18-20 years ago., and I remember that scene (I stopped it at 33 seconds :D )
What did he even to do him??? Did he get squished? Was he turned into the glass?
Both
i’m confused if the glass door is squishy or actually glass
Fun fact: the security guard was Jason Voorhees
uhh that is quite cool!
Ah the days before CG.
"Guard opened up on me"
Kane Hodder 👊
Now they Both have to wait for the guy to collect the money.
They dont make this kind of movie anymore.
You said it
He got unlimited power, yet needed violence to pass a bat guard and can't find out where someone is. Heck, some smooth talking hacker can do all of it with just human capacity, without violence or any super power.
And bribe the guy who knew her address with a million dollars 💵
I hope they remake this.
Thats the guy that plays Jason in the Jason movies btw
Kane Hodder is the greatest🔥
That's just as if someone played Mortal Kombat many times, to pull of a brutality move.
Classic
Huge OHSA violation
I don't think the insurance payout would land timely enough to finish bribing the boss.
Let's ust sit here until some tragic ironic turn of events brings you the money that you asked for just now.
Bro has a fragile body 💀💀
Wait, so for Nick to get a million dollars, the Genie killed his mother?
Kane Hodder
What an insidious foe. You really have to watch what you say around him.
LMFAOOOOOOO OH NAAAAAH
That was the worst CGI I have ever seen. I love it!
那個保全害死了自己
I bet that actors friends put pictures of him contorted in pain all over the place
If they do a Remix of this film, I can see with scene that instead of him literally go through The Guard like a weird ghost but have him open the glass Door and see The Guard just get ripped in half (very simple but yet very gruesome)
I have a Twisted Mind
Never use a glass door in Ohio bruh 💀
To be honest, considering what happened to most of the people he interacts with... the guy who's mother got killed got off easy.
I love the silly 90s cgi lol.
Bro almost made it, all he had to do was keep his mouth shut.
