Can I Beat Ai in a Drone Battle?

- Today I am going head-to-head with Chat GPT to battle it out to see who can make the best cinematic drone film.
The results are very interesting.
Here is the Prompt I used for this video;
You are a professional drone videographer with lots of experience shooting in Bali with FPV and stabilised drones. I want to make a cinematic drone film about the island of Bali. I have 1 day to film this and want to have a nice balance of footage from both FPV and stabilised drones. I want you to compile a list of 4 locations to visit to capture footage from. Take into account I only have 1 day and will be travelling by motorbike. I will be filming from sunrise til sunset and want all locations to be within 90 minutes of Ubud. I want you to give me a list of locations and a specific shots list to capture at each location for the film. Then give me each of these shots in a timeline for how they should be edited. Describe the shot and the length of time it should be on screen. Give me appropriate transitions to use between the clips and also a list of sound design elements to use with each clip. Then give me a song to use for the cinematic film. The song should be copyright free and available on the Artlist.io platform. Also give me a colour grade look to go for. I want the film to be 90 seconds long.

You blew the doors of the AI requests! Way to take a good idea and soar with it! You do a fantastic job and that Avata 2 puts the viewer on a roller coaster ride like no other. I'm going to have to save up, just afraid I wouldn't start the turns fast enough and, for example, land in the pool. Keep making the fantastic videos in such picturesque settings!!!

AI did a respectable job and it will suit those starting out in creating content. It was good that it gave you recommendations of cool places to fly and music choice was good. It can't match the creativity and experience from someone as yourself. It was an interesting experiment and thanks for sharing.
I fully agree. It can be very helpful if you're stuck for ideas, but after a while you will start to build your own creative flair and be able to take things up a notch. 😃

When Sora is released, it can even generate the drone video for you without having you to touch a drone at all.. very much like a sci-fi scene becone reality now...😅
Yeah, I've heard about Sora. Yeah, it's going to become a completely different world of filmmaking with AI 😅
That was a great video, I never thought about using AI to help me think of spots to film (in my area all National, Provincial & District parks are a no go for drones) as I used up my list of places pretty quickly. One quick question how long do you usually spend editing a video like the example u used in this video VS how long did it take u using the AI editing suggestions?

Yeah, there are all sorts of ways to utilise AI. Sometimes you've just got to think outside the box. It took probably around 90 mins to edit the Ai video and probably just over 2 hours to edit my version. I don't remember exactly so that's an educated guess. Sound design takes the longest time by far. The rest is done pretty quickly. Haha no problem! Plenty more to come 😃

Hi Justin great video and love the Channel, have a quick question , I am experienced drone pilot, from phantom 3 to the mavic 3 pro and mini 4 pro , just bought the avata 2 as I want to experience that FPV buzz but am starting from scratch with FPV flying , would you recommend using the motion controller for a while or getting experience with the FPV 3 controller from get go ?
@daveedmunds137 Hi Dave! Thanks for the kind words! Ah a nice fleet of drones there! Excellent choice with the Avata 2 too. I'd get the FPV 3 controller pretty much straight away and you can practice flying it in normal/sport with that as well as using it with a simulator. And whilst you're learning flying full acro you can enjoy getting used to the whole fpv experience using the Motion controller. 😃

@daveedmunds137 ah that's a shame. I'd love to have a mavic 3 pro too but I need to try and keep my fleet light with all the travel I do. Maybe I'll sacrifice one of my FPV drones next year when they launch the Mavic 4 Pro

Hi, love your videos and comments. And although your video was the best, it was not the best on all parameters, if you ask me. Your did show the drone aspect nice, your flying skills and the possibility with a drone. But what your video lacks is a few longer and steadier shots of eg. the terraces and the temple in the end, so that a viewer, who doesn’t know the sites, has the possibility to mentally capture the location. The ai video had that, but was boring, yours was the best, but if you had spend just a few seconds more on the topic of the location, and a bit less on showing what a drone can, it would have risen a step higher. Hope you get what I’m trying to point out and only take it as a positive thought 😊
Hey! That's awesome to hear. Yes of course, all feedback is welcome! This is the point of the video to discuss the good points and places where they could be improved. I tend to go for a slightly quicker paced video as I edit to the music but sometimes some shots would be better if they stayed on screen longer 😃 thanks again for being part of the community and for your comments for the video 😊
