They actually didn't have a bad late rd draft imo. I like their 4-6 picks. I def like our draft better cuz it didn't seem that other than the Still pick there were any reaches which is music to my ears. TT loved to reach my oh my did he love to reach lol
Raider fans arent exactly smart. Rice in the 7th was the steal of the draft. I can see him beating out Johnston to start opposite Palmer. Vidal was an awesome pick up. He could actually be an RB1 if something happens to Edwards and Dobbins. Hes a threat receiving too. Cornelius Johnson will be interesting. He already knows the offense over any of the current WRs on the roster, so thats a big plus. Had some incredible value late.

This is so true. Mack, Bosa, Tuli and Fox can handle the pass rushing. After the last 3 years of watching this team get ran all over I’m perfectly fine having a DT that is “just a run stopper”

Another awesome thing about Cornelius Johnson is he is a fantastic run blocker. Blocking is such an underrated part of a receiver's game. The Chargers are becoming so well-rounded. Can't wait for training camp/preseason to see some of these guys in action!!!⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡

I appreciate the fact that Ladd showed OUT against the elite teams. He's a tough, fast, scrappy and strong WR with awesome catching hands. Director...something for forgot to mention about Johnson( I'm a Michigan fan) is he is also one of...if not the best...run blocking WRs in the Draft. Also...his lack of production is because Roman Wilson and Copeland Loveland (TE) we the top 2 receiving threats in the passing game
Love this draft! Took a minute to get over nabers, but in hindsight, going w ctr+alt+del, makes so much sense. Scratch my head a little bit at the Eboigbe (lol) pick, but Harb knows more than I do...super stoked about hitman hart pickup. Super excited for myself, and fellow bolt fans, to see how it all unfolds.

The best Chargers draft was in 1975 but this draft class is up there.

04 was beast with Rivers, Kaeding, Hardwick, & Phillips
In the 1975 draft the Chargers had two number one picks and two number two picks. Gary Big Hands Johnson DT, Mike Williams CB both in the first round. Louie Kelcher DT and Fred Dean DE in the second round. Mike Fuller S in the third round . Billy Shields OT in the sixth round and Ricky Young RB in the seventh round. Ralph Piretta C in the 8th round. All of this listed players became starters and this was the most talented team they ever had. The offensive staters were Fouts, Muncie, Winslow, White, Chandler etc.

Nobody is talking about him but if you watch the reactions of Hortiz and Harbaugh on the draft war room call to Justin , they seem a little EXTRA excited when they called him compared to all the others. Just a little bit more excited . They know they got a steal and a real beast for their 4th overrall pick

With drafting three receivers we may now can spend our money on a different position instead of a receiver in free agency. Money well saved can now be used for another cornerback or a position that may be needed down the road.

Alt was a tight end 2.5 years ago and made a smooth transition to tackle so I’m not seeing moving from left to right being a problem for him.
Pretty damn good combination between Alt and McConkey! Follow that up with Junior Colson and the others, we had a friggin' good bunch of selections.
Joe Alt switched from Tight End to Offensive Tackle so I don't think that this guy will have any problem switching sides on the line. Besides, Alt comes from Notre Dame. They don't grow dummies at that University!
BTW: Combine our present Quinton Johnson with the drafted WR Cornelius Johnson plus two UDFA Wideouts who are also named Johnson!. The Receivers' Room of the Bolts will have four guys named Johnson... If we keep them all - we could rename it the JOHNSON ROOM!

If I have one tiny gripe, it was not drafting Boise St RB George Holani at 253, or making him a priority free agent. If the Bolts plan on running the ball down your throat, go check out this dude's highlights. He is a flat out baller, never quits, incredibly hard to bring down. Dobbins might not be fully recovered. The Chargers were at his Pro Day...he put up great testing numbers as well.

BTW:...Ladd is listed at 6'0 185 and Alworth was 6'0 184..................The Chargers had a Ladd back then; Big Bad Ernie Ladd, 6'9 300+lbs..You might wonder how anyone blocked him when the average NFL lineman was 250 to 280 lbs...Answer is , They didn't...And I'd sit up in the cheap seats 15 rows up in the end zone at Balboa Stadium screaming my head off every time every Big Bad Ernie drove two blockers back into the QB or Bambi caught a bomb from Johnny Hadl........Funny, I can't remember what happened day before yesterday, but I remember the names; Gary Garrison, Willie Frazier, Ron Mix, Paul Lowe, Keith Lincoln, Walt Sweeney, Kenny Graham, Dickie Post, Rick Redman, Ernie Wright and Speeeeedy Duncan...Kick Returner supreme....Why don't they have names like that anymore.......Believe it or not, I now live up in Eugene Or....Hey it rains alot but the fishing's great....The House where Herbi grew up is about a quarter mile away...I watched him at Sheldon HS and U/O and just had a feeling he was going places.........And now with Harbaugh and an OL that can actually protect him?.....It's gonna be fun............

I'm so stoked for the Rice pick. He's gonna come in hungry with a massive chip on his shoulder and Sanjay Lal will be so great for his development. Lal worked with DK in Seattle and I think Rice can really learn how to use his size to bully corners just like DK did.
There is something very special about having a physical, dominant O-Line. How many games have we lost because we couldn’t extend drives at the end of the games? If we have a good running game, we can impose our will on the other team and get the 3 or 4 first we downs we need to run out the clock!!
I didn’t understand just how important it is to have a dominant O-Line, and with Alt, we will have a man that can consistently provide blocking for our running backs, and when we decide to pass the ball, play action will be very effective.
No longer will we need to ask Herbert to pass 35-40 times a game, and he can be very effective when he does pass just because we can run the ball. Couldn’t be more excited!
I was super pumped with the Joe Alt pick, and to me there was zero chance they were going to pick anyone but Joe Alt at # 5. The thought they would take a WR was never a possibility…it’s not in Harbaugh’s DNA to have gone that route.
