- With our season in the Chesapeake Bay now over, we begin our journey south down the coast from Maryland to Florida. We make our first ever passage around Cape Hatteras and visit some new coastal towns and pristine national parks along the way. Once in Florida, our next stop... sailing to The Bahamas!

Great video. Lots of smooth and easy sailing footage, but the turkey call was my favorite bit.
Hahahaha 🦃 the turkey whisperer -M
seems like it has been a while. great to see you and thanks for sharing
Maybe your best video yet.... Thanks !
Appreciate you saying that! We were bummed we spent too much time enjoying our actual sailing days and forgot to film any of it 😣, oof!! So happy to hear the rest of the our journey was enjoyable :) -M
What's up? You still going? You off The Tube? Have decades of varied experience, and find yourstyle and attitude refreshing.
Loved the picture of sunset near Norfolk where you two were cozy together. Sometimes there are no words to what you see on the water.
World's worst (but cutest) turkey caller. :-)
Greetings from the land downunder..stumbled upon your channel binged out Saturday arvo..love the way you go about life!
Very easy to relate & understand also very entertaining..stay safe on your travels & keep the vids coming..🇦🇺
Awesome, I'm glad to see you made it on Cumberland island and saw the horses. I love that road with the Oak limbs arching over it. I have a great black and white picture of that exact spot. Pro tip on fishing: I believe that was a Bonita that you caught, from the quick glimpse that I saw. You can fillet small strips off of the Bonita and "tip" your lure hook with it. You would be surprised how many pelagic fish fall in behind your lure but they don't comment to biting. They are seeing what looks like prey, but if they don't get confirmation by smell, they will often turn away. My strike rate went way up once I started tipping my bucktail lures while trolling offshore and even in the bays.
Try ballyhoo, the size of your catch will also increase.
I always like seeing happy couples sailing together, this is what I would like ... sail the world with my Pair-bond, perhaps one day да
Another great video, love the journey. Stay Safe
Incredible journey. Your Dad is proud and worried, every time we chat. Wish you could get him out on the open seas with you. WP won't miss him for a few weeks.
Trying to catch up with your channel. You passed very close to us on Saint Simons Island when you stopped at Cumberland. Lots of memories stirred from your Chesapeake sailing as I spent four years imprisoned in Annapolis at the Naval Academy. I've never been as cold in my life as I was when we were out on the Chesapeake in the winter.
Another awesome adventure. Your videos are so relaxing to watch. Thanks!
Awesome!! Thanks so much. I think this one turned out pretty serene myself. A calm and smooth sail south. -M
Great video. You certainly covered a lot of ground, or should I say water. Glad to see that you found your horse. St Augustine looks wonderful, I will definitely have to stop there when I am heading south. Fair Seas
Thank you abut all the vidoes love you
Thanks fo letting us in on your sailing travels of 2020. 3000 miles already? That is impressive!
Look forward to that sail to thr Bahamas.
It’s crazy to believe it’s been over 3,000nm! Currently in the Bahamas... and it, is, amaaazing ☀️🌴 -M
Lucky you had good weather going around the Cape
Great video guys looking forward to s3
Get ready for Bahama overload. Having a lovely time here :) -Mandi
That's a nice dodger, bimini enclosure set up. That trip would be brutal without it, I bet.
It would have been for sure. As we made our way south we kept seeing sailboats with full enclosures, and we were a bit jealous. - Brian
You two are doing great!! Your almost there! Actually it looks like maybe you made it! Your gonna love the warmer air and water. To get the really nice warm water Your gonna have to get farther south than the Bahamas but the Bahamas are beautiful!
great video, i am sure you have heard that there has been an extensive search for the truck driver who went off the tunnel bridge, made me think about that when i saw you talking about the tunnel
Glad to hear you enjoyed the vid! And oh, we did hear about that, so terrible and scary -M
Lucy and Matt were in out marina off the Rappahannock River this past summer. If you run into them again tell them Julie and Dixon said hi and that Mac is really missing Chelsea. Thanks! Really enjoying your wonder content.
Oh wow such a small world! We love them, and little Chelsea! We’ll relay the message next time we see them - Mandi
Thanks for the peacock song. That was great! ))
Hahaha, my pleasure -Mandi
With all the crazy covid guidelines, hurricane season, holidays, etc. Great to see you in motion and onto the warmer clime's.
Watching you from northern Detroit suburbs at 28 degrees and snow.
Ooof, sorry to have to tell you this, after hearing of the 28 degrees, but its getting hot here in the bahamas, 80s. Finally got that warmer weather 🥳 -Mandi
@@TakeTheWaters Excellent!!! That's why you're down there!!
Hi there, greetings from Ecuador, my support for you
Not a fan of cold weather myself. Anything below 78 F is cool, anything below 75 F is FREEZING!
Haha, we hear ya. When 60 degrees comes around its all sweaters on deck! Imagine being outside in 30, in the wind, all night 😬😬😬
How do you get John Malkovich to do your voice-overs? Can't be cheap.
It’s really not. His prices are ridiculous! 😳 -M
Come back to the Caribbean, my beneteau is nice and toasty :) Here in Puerto rico
Did you really come back to Merritt Island and not stop in for the best breakfast around? 😜
Haha, would have been nice to see you guys, be careful and enjoy your awesome adventure.
We thought about you two!! Ahh, it would have been so nice to stop and have the best breakfast! It was christmas day and we figured everything would be closed. Next time around, we’d love a visit!
So you guys just mainly powered your way down? What kind of cost was the fuel and why weren't you guys using the sails more? Thanks so much
Peacock 😆 🤣 😂 😆 🤣 😂
Again a beautiful video. Thankyou. You look like the perfect couple.
What programs do you use for you editing?
Thanx again
Aw thanks so much! We use adobe premiere to edit our videos -Mandi
Thank you. I'm trying it out now. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
It's always best to wait for the weather. Why have a sail boat if you can't sail?
I completely understand your reasoning. We did sail a good bit, about half the trip down was sailed, I just didn’t film it. But I’m serious when i say I dont like the cold, any colder and i would have shipped it down lol. Now we’re in the Bahamas and we wait for the right wind more often, unless a front is coming and we need to get somewhere fast for protection. -Brian
Over 30k subs. I said you guys would get popular in this very crowded space. 👍👍👍 50k subs just around the point.
Thanks Clay. Seems our subs have slowed down a bit. I just don't have the time to make enough content to make CZcams happy. The other option is make a ton of pointless videos (not saying mine always have a point lol) and post every week. Maybe there's some middle ground there but I haven't been able to find it. -Brian
@@TakeTheWaters I suggest bringing Emma back.
That’s my wife, Scott! lol
Say no to bagpipes
But I love the bagpipes! -M
@@TakeTheWaters Bagpipes got soul, bro.
Could you please include Turkish subtitles?
I think it’s an automatic thing CZcams does, but ill look into it. -B
🙄 fair weather sailors. Too mamy of the same. What a shame.
You guys are so uneventful. Borin,
Just don’t watch the videos then Fran. There’s no need to comment (twice) insulting Brian and Mandy. They likely will read your comment and that probably wouldn’t make them feel good considering how much work they’ve put into this project. If you’re going to say something, why don’t you make a suggestion of how they can improve the videos rather than just calling them boring and whiny?
@@Munkeez she's got a bit of a point though, they rarely sail and seem scared of any slight risks. Negative feedback can still be constructive. The production value is fantastic and they seem great people, but maybe not cut out for boat life.
@@TheAegisClaw how can you say they’re not cut out for boat life? After all those hours toiling in the boat yard. They’ve done more work (and probably sailed more miles) than probably 80% of sailors. If someone wants to suggest a way to improve their videos, I’m sure Brian and Mandy would appreciate it, but “you guys are so uneventful. Boring” is just insulting. I see no effort to be constructive in that response.
If you can't say something nice don't say anything at all!
