- Dear friends
Apparently, this pandemic has changed many things, for instance a lot of things have belonged the new normal. The biggest effect that’s passed down to we consumers is the big price increase on our staple food. As if that’s not bad enough, all airfares have gone up substantially, as Tony Fernandes has said, “high airfares will be the new norm”. FYI, I also happened to discover the price of our local real estate since I was helping my son look for properties to buy in the Klang Valley. If there’s any consolation, our price is well under control, unlike Hong Kong and Singapore which have escalated considerably after the pandemic. I know you are wondering what has real estate got to do with my food feature. Actually, no connection, it so happened when I was looking for properties in Glenmarie, it reminded me of an eatery in that area that deserved to be featured long ago since they have all the quality dishes under one roof. I hope this episode will be compelling to you. Thanks, and see you in the next.

I always thought that Genmarie and Shah Alam area only got Malay food. It seems there are still quite a numbers of good chinese restaurants there. Thanks Uncle Lee for reccomendation.
It's my pleasure
Excellent ❤! Thank you Elmo
I must visit this haunt on my next trip to KL after viewing the most informative video from Elmo.
Well done 👍 again for putting together another video 🤠
Malaysia welcomes u henry
Very interesting place and the food looks delicious.
Wa those food looks yummy . Thanx for mentioning their prices too. Very helpful
Nice food, nice place. Thanks.
早几年前,因为工作的缘故,
我是经常出现在金玛丽Glenmarie.
May’s kitchen at Glenmarie in this episode is really a one stop center for great classic ‘ so called hawker center’ food. With so many recommended dishes in this episode - surely it’s worth trying out their food here. Each of the dishes served has a great feeling of it being cooked the right way - the color of the food also says that ( from my perspective). Yatt Lau 👍🏽 and Mou Tat Deng and this time I give a very high compliment to Ah May’s coffee stall. ( It also looks tidy and clean). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thanks choong pls come support them

Glenmarie intro by Elmo Lee in this issue is a very beautiful place name. I feel that the food in each stall is of a good standard. Thank U for letting me know Malaysia the food in various regions 🇲🇾 🤝 🇸🇬 🙏.

My most regular shop in Glenmarie👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Every time near at Glenmarie, I will drop by at this shop. My favorite is the curry mee with the meat ball. Next time will try the mee rebus for a change. Parking also not challenging as plenty of spots available. Only the main road is a bit messy as there is a never ending construction going on.
Thanks for supporting them bro
I have been eating here since 20 over years ago, from them being just a small stall to 2-3 shop lot. I call her Ipoh mari, becos she hail from Ipoh & offer my favorite chee cheong fun, Ipoh style. Best Ipoh kopitiam type of food in Klang Valley!
Yes they r very good
Looks like "Ipoh Taste" well represented here 👍

To me setia alam is in klang
hi Elmo, where in Klang Valley can I find a good oyster omelette? Thanks
Unfortunately I've yet to find good oyster omelette in Klang valley
Another good video, @Elmo. Bravo 👍👍
I like this place too. But long time never come. 'cos it's not near fr where I am.
There is one thing (for the first time, prob) that I will have to disagree with you. I don't think the Penang culture of charging customers RM0.50 or RM1.00 is fair. Because they are already collecting rentals from the hawkers. When we patronize a coffee shop, we already contributing to the cash flow, otherwise how will the hawkers be able to pay their rental. This is common sense. We are supporting the hawkers by buying their food, and in return, they pay their rentals to the coffee shop (who sells the drinks).
Especially when the coffee shop charge more than the others, and on top of that, serve very diluted drinks filled with too much ice. You're basically only getting 1/4 worth of beverage. This is with regards to the recently viraled coffee shop in Penang. Many people who have been there before have negative feedback and bad experiences with their drinks. So, this is cheating the customers, isn't it? And when you don't order their drinks, they get even more offended.
I'm glad we don't see this in other states. Penang seems to be the only one doing this. In fact, Penang has a lot of peculiar ways of doing business, but that's another story.
Summary is, coffee shops get rentals from the stalls. If they want to sell drinks, they cannot force people to buy what they sell. And when ppl don't drink, they wanna charge them in other ways. This is definitely wrong.
Maybe we should charge them back for petrol for driving to the coffee shop, or paying for parking.
Thanks for reading.
Thanks Wai loon
I agree 💯%
I m put off by these $ calculating coffeeshop owners. I read case in Penang where they shame their stall's customers on Fb who refuse drinks. Shaming backfire 😂
Point is, they can't force consumers when we have the right to reject unclean serving wares, or doubtful preparation by their dirty looking workers, or charging above norm market price for a watered down drink.
Solution: just clean up and serve decent drinks with better service and we will order!
Remark: we go to Starbucks, Thong Kee or our fave mamak JUST for their coffee or teh tarik 😊
Hehehe!
Correct. Our presence @ their coffeeshop is advert n crowd puller.
The map link is showing the wrong place. Please confirm.
Cannot be, I've double checked, pls copy paste the link from my introduction
Hi Elmo, what is the name of this restaurant pls? Are all the stalls highlighted in this video, under one roof ??
It's restoran chicken cuisine house, everything under one roof. U obviously didn't watch till the end
@@malaysiafood328 I did twice but you only highlighted the inner side of the restaurant most of the time, I only noticed the restaurant's signboard in the beginning part of your video. I assumed that you took us on to journey to the next & next places in your food-hunting spree as you used to in all of your other videos. However, I must admit that only MUCH LATER, I read your introductory caption in the description space explaining the plight of this video which you intended to focus on specifically emphasizing a " wide range of various types of hawkers' food all under the comfort of one roof 🙂🙂Anyways, tq for the valuable info sharing 🤞🙏
Sorry for confusion

Why just mention this shop in the whole Glenmarie?
Cos they are worth mentioning unless u felt left out cos your shop wasn't mentioned
a bit more expensive than other kopitiam
Indeed it is but u pay for quality
