I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. In dance, my forte are contemporary and musicals and have done most of my performances in theatre. Although my channel is mostly known for dance analysis, I am currently inactive in the dance community.

JB is seen wearing sneakers bc of his back injury in 2016. His doctor said that it was better for him to dance in flat shoes with no heal so that’s why. He’s slowly been wearing a mix but it’s still mostly sneakers! And Yugyeom has said that he prefers dancing/practicing in dress shoes
Plus Jaebeom is flat-footed so it's more comfortable for him to wear those too.
JB could wear sneakers to a meeting and he would be the special exception.

I just want to point out that JB
is the leader, main dancer material, main vocal, producer, lyricist, visual AND one of the best performers we have in the industry

JB has had spinal disc injuries back in his b-boy days. During lullaby his back started to bother him again that's why he wore sneakers most of the time during that particular promotion.

*FYI GOT7 has its own characteristics from each member when they dancing because before debut they were joined academy dance class(?) in different 'basic dance'. JB b-boying (it makes sense when you say it's inspired by B-boy, maybe JB came up with the idea), Jinyoung hip-hop but more of a smooth and contemporary (u can see when he dances on "Iam Me" and "Not By The Moon"), Bambam hip hop more sharp when dancing, Yugyeom is the member with the most basic dance such as hip hop, house dance etc and even good at doing freestyle that's why he became main dancer. Mark and Jackson do not have basic dance but they are focused on martial arts and acrobatics, Youngjae has no basic dance he is a trainee for only 7 months and immediately debuted to be GOT7's main vocal. They especially Jinyoung and Yugyeom are often involved in creating choreography. They do have different colors, but the seven colors will be very beautiful when they are together on the same stage.*
i read it somewhere that JY know all dance and even called dance genius and he do enter university in perfomance course right? am i wrong? People do praised him a lot back then for his dance only now his more focus to acting and leave the dance part to YG. Now he only choreograph some of their songs. before too but not whole just some part of the song. only follow me he choreograph it alone before.

Like I KNOOOOWW Yugyeom is the main dancer but I CANNOT Keep my eyes off JB when he dances (The only one in trainers in the DP for those that don't know. Also GOT7's leader). So sharp and powerful yet sexy and confident. He's so underappreciated! EXACTLT he jumped like crazy!

Same. JB just moves so f-ing sexy even if he's not your bias he is your bias because you end up looking at him no matter who you were trying to follow. This group has 7 strong personalities (they all handsome too) yet he manages to steal the show all the time.
There is a boyfriend (more upclose version) dance practice version of lullaby that really showcases their personalities extremely well. It is also very fun and they are a lot more hyped and energetic in that dance practice. It would be fun to Check that one out!!

Lullaby was my first comeback with got7 and so its very special to me. Its one of my favorite songs by them and i never get enough of the dance practices, especially the boyfriend version where JB goes extra hard 😂

JB is the ultimate Idol, such a good dancer, singing, visual, leader. He is one of my top vocals up there with Chen from EXO
I love their dance performance in their suits because I love the sound of their dress shoes and boots on the floor is so satisfying.

This is easily one of the best concepts GOT7 ever made. Not only for us but for them. It's also a very important album for both of us as they were able to express themselves more considering they can be very limited artistically by the company.
JB clearly caught your eye and it's fair, he goes all out in dance practices for some reason (maybe just having fun lol) but he can't wear dress shoes as much as the others considering his back injury and this applies to live performances as well, he's just exempt.

there were so many versions of lullaby out there HAHA but also i just love the sound of their shoes hitting the floor so satisfying! the footwork in lullaby is amazing just the thing w their leather shoes and i think the type of flooring they have too cos in (i forgot which dance prac) jackson was wearing leather shoes too and he kinda held back bc slippery etc. excited for u to see 'If You Do' cos it had iconic footworktoo!

JB wore sneakers coz he has reccurring back problem. When he is okay, he wore dress shoes too. Especially More often now than before.. with his YSL shoes😏😏.. he is also the one who jumped the highest there... Haha.. got7 fans would know coz he always goes the extra mile when dancing, especially on stage, when he is in the "zone". Even the other members are shocked sometimes... His stage presence and facial expressions are always on point!! Oh, he also used to breakdance! Still do it sometimes!

You know dance performance don't always portrayed got7 dance the best. Cause they always chills.. But try watch the performance on stage or on CZcams M2. They will put their performance vibe on. The move sharp etc.
The performance with multiple outfit is just division2 (JYPE DEPARTMENT) fan services as you can see now itzy which also under the same department also has multiple dance practices.

Jeff, if you ever have time stalk Yugyeom's IG and watch every single dance he's posted... I'm serious every single one. It's almost not fair to the other dancers with him (who are freaking amazing) because he's that phenomenal. And to imagine my first impression of him was that he was awkward...my eyes were obviously broken because that's insane to think.
Got7 act have their own character.. they have their own voice so its make easy for us to recognize it..

It's honestly so weird to listen to Lullaby because of its many versions- I'm actually used to their Spanish version of Lullaby more than this, the original HAHAHA but it was a delight to see one of my few favorite comebacks of GOT7 on your channel! I do hope you can watch some of their even more older songs where they were just starting out, you'll see just how far they've gone with their styles!

dAm u were right the sneaker guy (jb) used to be a pro b-boy and was with the “ilsan city breakers” and he got called by jype after they saw his bboying skills so he joined the company, also near the beginning of got7’s career he used to bboy a lot and flip an do tumbling and quick 360 spins whil handstanding (i forgot what it’s called) and his friend said “he used to fly, jb, bboying skills... amazing” but then he got a spinal injury and sorta broke his back in 2016 and isn’t aloud to bboy anymore and it’ll hurt if he does (still sometimes he’ll start b-boying for fun and his members yell at him lol)
