That's how they are, super loud, having fun doing whatever together, the JYP in the beginning ( GOT7 never has JYPs signature "JYP" whisper in the beginning of their mv so when they sing live they whisper "JYP" (and others like Earattack, Defsoul wich is Jbs name for his music, etc) it's basically an inside joke now
This is so different, because it was actually written by the leader JB. This is actually the first time GOT7 has had a title track written and produced by a member. You are missing 3 members, who are the maknae line. Youngjae with the incredible voice and the longer hair that sang the chorus. BamBam with the grey hair in the triangle structure. And Yugyeom the tall one with the bright yellow hair. I feel personally that Mark, has the least amount of lines only because his voice is used in the background a lot to hype up songs, as well as BamBam's. Jackson has an AMAZING singing voice. However, because his voice is so deep its hard to fit it anywhere in their songs. Yugyeom definitely has the highest vocal range along with Jinyoung and JB. And Youngjae has such an unique voice that it balances their songs really well. "A" is definitely my favorite song for Youngjae's voice. You should check out their "Flight Log: Turbulence" album. It's honestly my favorite album of theirs along side this one.
Home Run was written by JB, and is easily one of my favorites. Actually, JB’s songs tend to be my favorites before i even know they’re his, he’s got a very attractive composing style.
Sats "Home Run" is actually part of the "Flight Log: Departure" album. And the title track for that was actually "Fly." And "Just Right" was not written by JB or any member. This is truly the first time a member has written a title track for them.

I really don’t have a least favorite song on the 7 For 7 album, the line distribution in the album is a lot better than past albums as well. I suggest you listen to “Sign” from their album Arrival, it was written by Youngjae!
The song was written and composed by the leader Jaebum and every song on the mini album has member lyric contribution. This album as a whole is slower and it’s only about 25 mins total (not an unwatchable length for a video 😉). Also the ‘puzzle pieces’ are actually based on friendship necklaces that Mark recommended the boys get. However the necklaces are more member centric with personal symbols, but they do all fit together like at the end. Love you PD Stan Got7, it’s a crazy ride and you’ll love it 😈.

Yes, this is Hong Kong. Since Jackson is born and studied American International school in Hong Kong before he went to Korea. This MV really meant a lot to Jackson as well.
actually, i love the whole album. 7for7 is just beautiful. Verse 2 was my style and i love the album, i love icarus and on&on but on this album is beautiful to me. Every song has different vibe but still you can say its still 7for7 album. ı love mooonlight, prove it(another jb song) and actually just right and fly albums were good but i am a fan for 5 years and i can say that this is the album that i like the most. I love teenager too but, face, moon u, remember you is amazing, firework is chilling song and to me i love verses but chorous not my style.
I love the storyline of this MV. They start out in a crowded city with greyish weather and progress towards an open field and bright skies. Side note, the song was inspired by the popular anime film, “Kimi No Na Wa”. All the members write music so it’s really interesting to check their non-title songs because of the diversity in styles. JB, Youngjae, and Yugyeom have solo work in SoundCloud if you are interested hearing their “core” sounds. Jackson has had a few solo songs recorded in China as well. I tend to gravitate to Jinyoung’s written songs. He produced Mayday, Paradise, Firework, and several others. Thank you for checking out these guys. I appreciate your reviews so much. The entirety of their last three albums were great, most of the songs were written by the members so there was a lot of variation in style depending on who wrote it. Some personal favourites (besides the title tracks) are: '7 for 7': Teenager, Face, 내게, Moon U 'Arrival': Paradise, Go Higher, Out, Shopping Mall 'Turbulence': Skyway, Boom x3, 니꿈꿔, Let me, 아파, 노잼 'Departure': Home Run, Rewind, Beggin On My Knees, Can't. Wow that was a lot, but they're all sooo good!
You should listen to all the songs of the 7for7 album. The whole album is cohesive and every track is really beautiful. Also Let me is my favourite B side track of got7.

this is very much a throwback to Fly, the clean production, the choreo, the overall concept is light and beautiful. im glad that they had their EDM heavy Hard Carry and Never Ever, which makes You Are even more refreshing to see and listen to. with the line distribution, GOT7 has hands down got some of the best. while yes you may feel that a few members could get more, also consider that certain songs would more likely fit certain members voices more than others. i love how eclectic this group is that they can switch from EDM, to Hip-Hop, to sweet synth alternative pop. one of the many reasons why they are my ultimate favourite.
i feel like you are and just 7 for 7 in general was to reassure us fans that got7 is still got7 no matter what despite their endeavors individually (jjproject, jacksons papillon etc.) so in that way it definitely is a breath of fresh air
Hong Kong yes! I think they wanted to keep it simple for the message 7 for 7. They wanted to show their friendship and brotherhood. Jackson is from Hong Kong. I wonder if he helped in suggesting the places too.
There are tons of awesome b-sided tracks by GOT7！ My personal favorite is "Follow Me" from their first mini album "Got It?", actually the whole first mini album has a really swag vibe to it which I love. Another track I really like is "See the Light" from "Flight Log: Departure", it also has a fresh and airy vibe to it like "You Are", I really like the synthesizer effect used in it! Also there's "She's A Monster" from "Identify", it's a beautiful R&B song, one of their rare ballads during their first year. By the way, all GOT7 members participated in the song producing this time!
Took me watching GOT7 live at KCON this year to finally get into them and I completely get the hype. This song is my fav so far! I think I’ve counted about 5 different locations from both Check In and Cave Me In. Almost shot for shot exact of how they approached it which to me was cool. Can’t wait to hear the rest of the album!
I really liked a lot of their b-tracks actually. Like Oh is the song GOT7 voted to debut with but JYP chose Girls Girls Girls instead. Moonlight is beautiful. FISH is funky and fun produced by JB. Skyway is another JB’s song that a lot of fans love. Mayday is produced by Jinyoung and it’s very emotional (it’s more EDM but the lyrics makes it emotional). Dreamin’ is JB’s song, chill with a strong beat. If, mark and bam wrote lyrics w for, really liked it, softer. I liked a lot of their b-tracks on the turbulence album. Their new album has A LOT of good songs. Loved Remember You by bambam. It’s very chill and in a way sexy? Love love teenager by JB. It’s stronger but I love the undertone music. Moon U by Youngjae is another beautiful softer song.

try listening to Mayday from the Turbulence album and and Can’t and Let Me and basically the whole album 7For7 it’s got their own originals because all the members participated in making this album and it’s beautiful, the music style is amazing and they just keep getting better and better. Honestly, i think they deserve way more than the success they’re getting right now.
Some of my favorite got7 songs: sign, tic tic tok, stay, mayday, sick, mine, back to me, begging on my knees, and I’m missing a lot more but to keep it short.
It sounds different because JB composed this song and he says that he would like GOT7's music to become more mature/smooth(?) than their previous hip hop concept. The hip hop concept TBH was more a company decision than the members', and if you checks out the members' individual soundclouds, most of their solos are more R&B and chill. That's their preference in music. Yep this video was filmed in Hong Kong(where I'm from) and a lot of locations was used in many different mv,like check in,cave me in,sing me to sleep etc. Actually a lot of locations are "ig famous" in hk, people here will go to these places to take aesthetic photos

I loved this review! We have mostly the same insights on the music video and song. When you described the song as "a breath of fresh air", I immediately agreed because it really is! I loved seeing a whole new concept yet still maintaining their GOT7 vibe. Please do check out their new album 7 FOR 7, it includes amazing songs. GAAAH! Producer-nim I'm so so happy that you liked the music video and that you wanted to get deeper into the fandom! I'm a huge fan of GOT7, they got me into K-Pop again after a long hiatus (because 2ne1 was my first fave group but I fell out of it like you did and they're the ones that got me back with Fly). Some notes: 1. Yes this was shot in Hong Kong all of it. 2. A lot of the shots, we think, were actually based on each member's background before they debuted. BamBam was standing in front of the cultural center and maybe that's because he's Thai, and his family's story is basically a rags to riches one hence the triangle framing. I think Mark and BamBam were shot in Mongkok where there are lots of crossroads and foreign brands with flagship stores because they're both foreign members. Jackson's backdrop is Montane Mansion, it's a residential area and before GOT7 he used to be in his comfort zone (he was a fencer and he was granted a college scholarship) but later on we see that he chose the bird and in most GOT7 videos the bird signifies the fandom/GOT7. JJ Project shot that's in Victoria Harbor which is on the other side of Mongkok (like literally a river apart) and we know for a fact that they started as a duo. The two members you missed out on is Yugyeom the maknae and Youngjae the main vocal their shots were taken in Lai Tak Tsuen. Yugyeom was an underground dancer so he's at the bottom part of the building. Youngjae was the top of his class in Mokpo for singing/performance I think? Probably why he was at the top of the building. 3. Fly era onwards was the time GOT7 members were finally encouraged to write and produce their own music which was why it sounded very different from If You Do. The whole Fly album is awesome, jussayin lol But if you wanna hear more mellow, soft GOT7 songs I suggest you give GOT7 Mad Winter Edition a try. (Sorry this got long! I got excited hahah! The most ridiculous thing was when someone said this song was so simple and like other many songs but when I asked them to recommend some songs which have the same or similar melody like this song, nobody could answer me since this song was released until now. I agree, it felt refreshing having a song different than the last ones they’ve been having. My favorite B-side songs from 7for7 is Remember You and Firework. If you want to go back to flight log era, some of my faves are My Home, something good, Sign, and Prove it. I love all their songs but Got7 is my ultimate group so i am biased when I say this 😅 It is the first time a got7 member(JB) has produced the title track so this comeback is more special to the members and the fandom. I will agree that this video was shot in very similar backgrounds as SVT ( SVT's Check In video definitely showcased more locations including not so famous ones... ). I'm so very happy that more KPOP groups are shooting in Hong Kong because I am from Hong Kong. Now I'm thinking that one of these days I"m gonna run into a KPOP group shooting their video here... GAWD, I hope that its one of the groups I stan. When SVT shot here, they mainly stayed with the urban locations - really grungy parts of Hong Kong. Even the colour treatment on the Check In video evokes "Wong Kar Wai" vibes... I like that in GOT7's video, there are parts where they go from low to the "sky" shots (atop the city) and since they shot in daylight, it really fit the vibe of their song? I'm not really a Got7 stan, I'm mostly a Jackson-Yugyeom stan but this song, I dunno... I feel like I'm becoming a fan. I hope JYP lets them write and produce more. Also, its good that Jackson (the homeboy) got an extra verse because HE IS a Hong Kong boy :-) So proud of him. Its so funny that they shot him in GoldFish Street (the scene where he has his "extra verse"). I literally walk that everyday to work. Made me feel closer to him (stupid, but true). He doesn't really get that many lines in songs. He's like in the "performance" line in GOT7 - but he does his lion share of promoting for the group because of his sheer charisma and his unforgettable presence in Korean TV shows... I'm sorry, my inner stan is showing. But anyhow... Yeah.
If you're looking for symbolism, you need to go through the flight log trilogy: fly trailer, fly, hard carry trailer, hard carry, never ever trailer, and never ever. It has this one big story that is told through a heck a lot of symbolism and it's both sad and beautiful at the same time.
I personally like their RnB/ballads/slow songs and my fave and most recommended album from them is TURBULENCE! I love listening to "아파" (Sick), Let Me, Prove It, My Home, Who's That, "빛이나" (See The Light), Beggin' on my Knees and many more! It's a lot but they're worth a listen!

I love how you said this while talking about the lack of artsyness: "Of course to the produce team, it's not GOT7's fault" because a lot of people seem to forget that not everything is under their control despite that they got a lot of artistic freedom with this comeback. You are was made by JB and in every single song on the album it has a member's name in the credits. What I love the most about this song is exactly the same breath of fresh air you talked about after Hard Carry and Never Ever. Those are still one of my favourite title tracks from them but You Are hits me somewhere in my soul and I love it so much! Especially nice about this comeback is the happiness and pride that GOT7 have because I feel like this music is finally something they want to do, how they want to express themselves. Sorry for the rant but my favorite songs from them are Mayday, See the light and I could recommend every single song from the new album but definitely check Face and Firework out!
My favorite non title track and even overall is "Mayday" from the Flight Log: Turbulence Album. There is also a very good Fan Music Video for the song. The whole album is really good and definitely worth listening to it. I also think the new album 7 for 7 is very good.

And Youngjae has such an unique voice that it balances their songs really well. "A" is definitely my favorite song for Youngjae's voice. You should check out their "Flight Log: Turbulence" album. It's honestly my favorite album of theirs along side this one.

Home Run was written by JB, and is easily one of my favorites. Actually, JB’s songs tend to be my favorites before i even know they’re his, he’s got a very attractive composing style.
Sats "Home Run" is actually part of the "Flight Log: Departure" album. And the title track for that was actually "Fly." And "Just Right" was not written by JB or any member. This is truly the first time a member has written a title track for them.

I really don’t have a least favorite song on the 7 For 7 album, the line distribution in the album is a lot better than past albums as well. I suggest you listen to “Sign” from their album Arrival, it was written by Youngjae!

The song was written and composed by the leader Jaebum and every song on the mini album has member lyric contribution. This album as a whole is slower and it’s only about 25 mins total (not an unwatchable length for a video 😉). Also the ‘puzzle pieces’ are actually based on friendship necklaces that Mark recommended the boys get. However the necklaces are more member centric with personal symbols, but they do all fit together like at the end. Love you PD Stan Got7, it’s a crazy ride and you’ll love it 😈.

actually, i love the whole album. 7for7 is just beautiful. Verse 2 was my style and i love the album, i love icarus and on&on but on this album is beautiful to me. Every song has different vibe but still you can say its still 7for7 album. ı love mooonlight, prove it(another jb song) and actually just right and fly albums were good but i am a fan for 5 years and i can say that this is the album that i like the most. I love teenager too but, face, moon u, remember you is amazing, firework is chilling song and to me i love verses but chorous not my style.
I love the storyline of this MV. They start out in a crowded city with greyish weather and progress towards an open field and bright skies. Side note, the song was inspired by the popular anime film, “Kimi No Na Wa”.
All the members write music so it’s really interesting to check their non-title songs because of the diversity in styles.
JB, Youngjae, and Yugyeom have solo work in SoundCloud if you are interested hearing their “core” sounds. Jackson has had a few solo songs recorded in China as well. I tend to gravitate to Jinyoung’s written songs. He produced Mayday, Paradise, Firework, and several others.

this is very much a throwback to Fly, the clean production, the choreo, the overall concept is light and beautiful. im glad that they had their EDM heavy Hard Carry and Never Ever, which makes You Are even more refreshing to see and listen to. with the line distribution, GOT7 has hands down got some of the best. while yes you may feel that a few members could get more, also consider that certain songs would more likely fit certain members voices more than others. i love how eclectic this group is that they can switch from EDM, to Hip-Hop, to sweet synth alternative pop. one of the many reasons why they are my ultimate favourite.
And dancing with the sunset as background. Beautiful sky and beautiful boys, indeed. 😊

My personal favorite is "Follow Me" from their first mini album "Got It?", actually the whole first mini album has a really swag vibe to it which I love.
Another track I really like is "See the Light" from "Flight Log: Departure", it also has a fresh and airy vibe to it like "You Are", I really like the synthesizer effect used in it!
Also there's "She's A Monster" from "Identify", it's a beautiful R&B song, one of their rare ballads during their first year.
By the way, all GOT7 members participated in the song producing this time!
Took me watching GOT7 live at KCON this year to finally get into them and I completely get the hype. This song is my fav so far! I think I’ve counted about 5 different locations from both Check In and Cave Me In. Almost shot for shot exact of how they approached it which to me was cool. I really liked a lot of their b-tracks actually. Like Oh is the song GOT7 voted to debut with but JYP chose Girls Girls Girls instead. Moonlight is beautiful. FISH is funky and fun produced by JB. Skyway is another JB’s song that a lot of fans love. Mayday is produced by Jinyoung and it’s very emotional (it’s more EDM but the lyrics makes it emotional). Dreamin’ is JB’s song, chill with a strong beat. If, mark and bam wrote lyrics w for, really liked it, softer. I liked a lot of their b-tracks on the turbulence album. Their new album has A LOT of good songs. Loved Remember You by bambam. It’s very chill and in a way sexy? Love love teenager by JB. It’s stronger but I love the undertone music. Moon U by Youngjae is another beautiful softer song.

try listening to Mayday from the Turbulence album and and Can’t and Let Me and basically the whole album 7For7 it’s got their own originals because all the members participated in making this album and it’s beautiful, the music style is amazing and they just keep getting better and better. Honestly, i think they deserve way more than the success they’re getting right now.

Some of my favorite got7 songs: sign, tic tic tok, stay, mayday, sick, mine, back to me, begging on my knees, and I’m missing a lot more but to keep it short.
It sounds different because JB composed this song and he says that he would like GOT7's music to become more mature/smooth(?) than their previous hip hop concept. The hip hop concept TBH was more a company decision than the members', and if you checks out the members' individual soundclouds, most of their solos are more R&B and chill. That's their preference in music.

I loved this review! We have mostly the same insights on the music video and song. When you described the song as "a breath of fresh air", I immediately agreed because it really is! I loved seeing a whole new concept yet still maintaining their GOT7 vibe. Please do check out their new album 7 FOR 7, it includes amazing songs. GAAAH! Producer-nim I'm so so happy that you liked the music video and that you wanted to get deeper into the fandom! I'm a huge fan of GOT7, they got me into K-Pop again after a long hiatus (because 2ne1 was my first fave group but I fell out of it like you did and they're the ones that got me back with Fly). Some notes:
1. Yes this was shot in Hong Kong all of it.
2. A lot of the shots, we think, were actually based on each member's background before they debuted. BamBam was standing in front of the cultural center and maybe that's because he's Thai, and his family's story is basically a rags to riches one hence the triangle framing. I think Mark and BamBam were shot in Mongkok where there are lots of crossroads and foreign brands with flagship stores because they're both foreign members. Jackson's backdrop is Montane Mansion, it's a residential area and before GOT7 he used to be in his comfort zone (he was a fencer and he was granted a college scholarship) but later on we see that he chose the bird and in most GOT7 videos the bird signifies the fandom/GOT7. JJ Project shot that's in Victoria Harbor which is on the other side of Mongkok (like literally a river apart) and we know for a fact that they started as a duo. The two members you missed out on is Yugyeom the maknae and Youngjae the main vocal their shots were taken in Lai Tak Tsuen. Yugyeom was an underground dancer so he's at the bottom part of the building. Youngjae was the top of his class in Mokpo for singing/performance I think? Probably why he was at the top of the building.
3. Fly era onwards was the time GOT7 members were finally encouraged to write and produce their own music which was why it sounded very different from If You Do. The whole Fly album is awesome, jussayin lol But if you wanna hear more mellow, soft GOT7 songs I suggest you give GOT7 Mad Winter Edition a try.

The most ridiculous thing was when someone said this song was so simple and like other many songs but when I asked them to recommend some songs which have the same or similar melody like this song, nobody could answer me since this song was released until now. I love this song's melody so much especially at the beginning and before the chorus. I'm still looking for some songs like "You R". I agree, it felt refreshing having a song different than the last ones they’ve been having. My favorite B-side songs from 7for7 is Remember You and Firework. If you want to go back to flight log era, some of my faves are My Home, something good, Sign, and Prove it. I love all their songs but Got7 is my ultimate group so i am biased when I say this 😅 It is the first time a got7 member(JB) has produced the title track so this comeback is more special to the members and the fandom. The album itself has a different feel to it as well, which makes me enjoy this comeback even more

I will agree that this video was shot in very similar backgrounds as SVT ( SVT's Check In video definitely showcased more locations including not so famous ones... ). I'm so very happy that more KPOP groups are shooting in Hong Kong because I am from Hong Kong. Now I'm thinking that one of these days I"m gonna run into a KPOP group shooting their video here... GAWD, I hope that its one of the groups I stan. When SVT shot here, they mainly stayed with the urban locations - really grungy parts of Hong Kong. Even the colour treatment on the Check In video evokes "Wong Kar Wai" vibes... I like that in GOT7's video, there are parts where they go from low to the "sky" shots (atop the city) and since they shot in daylight, it really fit the vibe of their song? I'm not really a Got7 stan, I'm mostly a Jackson-Yugyeom stan but this song, I dunno... I feel like I'm becoming a fan. I hope JYP lets them write and produce more.
Also, its good that Jackson (the homeboy) got an extra verse because HE IS a Hong Kong boy :-) So proud of him. Its so funny that they shot him in GoldFish Street (the scene where he has his "extra verse"). I literally walk that everyday to work. Made me feel closer to him (stupid, but true). He doesn't really get that many lines in songs. He's like in the "performance" line in GOT7 - but he does his lion share of promoting for the group because of his sheer charisma and his unforgettable presence in Korean TV shows... I'm sorry, my inner stan is showing. But anyhow... Yeah.
If you're looking for symbolism, you need to go through the flight log trilogy: fly trailer, fly, hard carry trailer, hard carry, never ever trailer, and never ever. It has this one big story that is told through a heck a lot of symbolism and it's both sad and beautiful at the same time.

I love how you said this while talking about the lack of artsyness: "Of course to the produce team, it's not GOT7's fault" because a lot of people seem to forget that not everything is under their control despite that they got a lot of artistic freedom with this comeback. You are was made by JB and in every single song on the album it has a member's name in the credits. What I love the most about this song is exactly the same breath of fresh air you talked about after Hard Carry and Never Ever. Those are still one of my favourite title tracks from them but You Are hits me somewhere in my soul and I love it so much! Especially nice about this comeback is the happiness and pride that GOT7 have because I feel like this music is finally something they want to do, how they want to express themselves.

The scene was absolutely well thought! Except from the scenes that is well known and used by other mv, they added more hidden gems in hk (coz jack is from hk!) and his favourite place as well!!!! The scene when jinyoung jaebum and jack run out from a metro station, thats where he used to go everyday( he said it in monstarX in hk)
