  • Review of the Drifta Single Burner Camping Kitchen. This is one of many kitchens available from drifta.com.au and works really well to carry all your kitchen gear to camp and then turn into a full kitchen at the right height. Hope you like the video, if you did give us a thumbs up :-).. This kitchen is also available in Europe at drifta.eu

    I lik this. I think I would put my own stainless wash basin where the single burner is and put a two-burner stove on top of the table.

    Hi nice kitchen what is the round hole for on the right hand side of the box next to the stove is it for a gas supply hose and how wide / deep is the stove part regards mike

    • @FunFitAdventure
      @FunFitAdventure  Před 6 lety +1

      Later on in the video I install the Hand Pump which comes with the kitchen. So when the lid is flipped over this hole is near the pull out drawer where you would normally put a washing bowl. The hand pump goes down into a water container and then can be pumped up. The burner area only takes a single burner, no hole for a gas supply but then you could always add one if you could find a stove to fit. the space inside is the height of one of the Primus single burners that Drifta sell, about 125mm in height....

    Rich which are the drifta bags you fit inside the kitchen. Also do you find the single leg on the fold out table secure enough. Have you ever accidentally kicked k it out and the table
    collapse.?

    • @FunFitAdventure
      @FunFitAdventure  Před 5 lety

      Hi Malcolm... The bags are a mix of the tote size bags (the drifta ones) and the smaller wash kit ones. Never kicked out the leg but I suppose it could happen... if you were worried you could always peg the leg or tie a little guy and peg it out... We don't have kids so the risk is fairly low...

      yea I would love to buy one but they cost too much for me. there is a smaller version that does not have legs that you put onto a table. I am going to try and build something similar

  • @bicanoo_magic3452
    @bicanoo_magic3452 Před 4 lety +3

    ok gret review. but those Drifta kitchens cost a bomb for what you actually get. There are better solutions if you must buy it and can't make it. It could be made by a novice over weekend and all you would need is a cheap drill and a cheap circular saw. rent it if you think you will never need it again. They've used quality exterior ply 9mm thick. Probably a 6'x3' board or half a sheet so it 4'x4.
    Rich! When you do these vids I'd also throw in the cost of thee items to give people feeling for the 'value for money' brigade.
