If Aioks look at videos like this and read the comments they should be able to come up with a much better kitchen box for the future with things like a long leg option, wind shield for the burners, clips for the top board (pin & hole?)........

      @twoallame I have never heard of a campfire that doesnt make you kneel or squat…. So if thats so much of an issue for you, you should think twice about camping… remember theres a difference between a picnic and camping. If your bringing your grill to a site that has tables, honestly its more of a picnic bud… that aside, maybe you didn’t notice the legs werent fully extended? a grill this is obviously not… go watch a video of grills man or better yet go make a video of that CGI master you’re so fond of, enough apparently to go into other people’s videos of other products and diss them about the product they’re reviewing just to end up plugging this so called awesome grill thats supposedly better…. In fact Do us a favor, make a video of this so called grill of yours so we can go on them comments, and say how well of a job you did, just to criticize it and tell you (despite having no expertise) that a blackstone is better

      @@jed9998 I'm not talking backpacking which I have done many many times, yes there you kneel. I'm talking CAMPING in the national forest, with no table, a path to a hole in the ground for your business, and yes I bring a flat top grill on a GCI camp table with a regular camp stove for cooking. I no longer want the experience of cooking on the ground. See its different as one gets older and wants to be comfortable, yet we still sleep on the ground in a tent.....OBVIOUSLY NOT A PICNIC as you commented...that involves a basket, and no over night stay. Oh and you could use the on site public grill.....not me. But we also have a grill for the fire pit that we created in the dirt, cooking our steaks and chicken on. Can't cook pancakes, eggs, hashbrowns on the grill. And troll i did not diss them as you so elliquetly stated. Learn to read and see that I have an opinion on what I use that is less expensive and yet said it was a good review. And I'm not making a video as I DON'T GIVE A BIG ENOUGH SHIT TO MAKE ONE, I don't need to have my 15 minutes of fame....that I've done in many other ways. There are multiple videos on the GCI Master cook station already out there. And how you know I have a blackstone? And obviously you did not watch the video well, as the legs if extended would put a angle on the box part of this camp table, that part has wheels and short stubby legs that are likely extended as far out as possible. Could not utilize a table that has a sharp angle on it

  • @styledliving
    @styledliving Před rokem

    Yeah, I got this as part of the kickstarter, and it was worth it for $258. Unfortunately, there were originally two sizes for this campaign, but iKamper reneged on the promise for the smaller size. Since they changed the size, they forced everyone who wanted the smaller one to pay more.
    The smaller one, with the same construction, would've been perfect since the sheet metal would've been slightly more rigid. It's also unfortunate they didn't decide to chain the two burners together to use a single tank, and they didn't put the controls on top of the stove panel. They had a good opportunity to make this work out, but the design decisions didn't make a lot of sense for consumers.
    They also had an opportunity to make cover panel fit in better and resist sliding, just routering an indent would've done it. They could put a lip on the inside to hold it in place.
    The wheels are a bit cheesy. I'd expect them to use something more common, esp available in the markets they sell to, because those are going to get banged up when they're filled up with weight. They offer it with an optional cooler bag, so the expectation is that there's going to be cold food kept inside. I just don't really see that being convenient. So I only pack stuff I don't need immediately like a paper towel roll, utensils, some bowls and plates, a propane canister, things like that.
    If think if they really wanted to make it usable, they could've made it slightly taller so people can drop a 5lbs propane tank inside.

    Hmm. As someone who regularly goes camping, this appears to be close to useless. It wastes space in the car, is too low to the ground, useless for cooking most things, wonky table that is too low and unnecessary long, bugs can crawl into the box so it’s not good for food storage. We purchased much better for much less, and it takes up much less space. I’m not usually so harsh. But I would be disappointed if someone purchased this thinking it was well thought out and would serve them well. I suspect it hasn’t had any real field testing.

    Huge fail with this product! Not cost effective, flimsy, QC sucks; and let's face it...I can have a two burner stove, small folding table(that's sturdy), and container for food, for a fraction of the cost, and takes up less space.
