This watch is sooooo much sexier in person than on their website. Casio did fail big time to capture the spirit of this watch in their advertisement.
I totally agree, I wasn’t sure on buying the blue metal one so I went in to my g shock store and tried it on, and it is so much more deep stealthy blue wich I love

As a recent owner of a GM2100-1A there's plenty to love but how I'd prefer a positive digital display so its nice to see Casio release more options and of the colours available this one looks really nice. As always a very informative and enjoyable review!

Ok ok i ordered the green and love it but then a week later i found this series...and immediately knew id have both. The positive display is a plus.

This was my G-Shock, and basically my watch gateway drug. I had to start with the positive display before decided I could deal with the negative display.
Yes, have the brown one and the stock image is truly does disservice considering how it looks in real life...
"Brown" is often avoided but in this case Casio is unashamedly honest. I used to own an Astra in "Almandine Red", which at least 99% of people would describe as "brown".
Silver buckle should have been brown

I've had my green gm2100 since June at a price below retail. Didn't like the OEM strap so ordered an orange "AP-like" silicone strap for it. Totally transformed it. Pleased with this watch, definately a daily beater.

Hi, just bought this exact watch.
It’s great but in no way does it wear as large as the measurements quoted.
It feels more like a small 40 mm watch.
The strap is more brown than gray, which it should be.
Why have they not used the solar powered stainless case with rubber strap instead of the quartz…???
I already bought 4 new watches recently and wasn't looking for another, but your review sold me on this metal casioak colorway. My only other Gshock is a silver GSTB400. I love it, but always wanted a metal casioak, especially one with better legibility. There are 3 new models just released with textile straps, but I think this one beats them all, especially with that positive display and beautiful dark rose gold bezel. The only thing I don't like is the strap so I'll throw on the black strap from my GST while I do some shopping. The base silver with orange strap looks super sharp, but orange probably won't work with dark rose gold. Anyway, fun times. So excited to add this to my collection.
Hey, honestly; the strap makes it and goes well with the whole brown look.

Just got mine, vids and pics don't do this watch any justice. I also have the silver version, the black strap looks pretty killer on the midnight fog.

The entire watch color reminds me somewhat of the classic and elegance of the 1940's era. Not sure if you understand what I mean by this. Kind of complicated to explain 🤔

What is the gold bezel version you show that looks like a hammered texture or ball peened ?
I've been thinking of purchasing this watch. However, what worries me is the actual appearance of this watch when it comes to its precise color.
For example, if you pause the video at exactly 5:05, you can compare the two color variations between the picture on the top left side to the one on the wrist.
I very much prefer the color appearance of the one on the wrist in oppose to the picture on the top left.
I'm not sure which one comes closest to the actual color in person. Can you please let me know which one it comes closest to, the one on the wrist or the one in the picture on the top left @5:05. Thank you.

bought my GM-2100-1AER for £140 from AMZN uk in May. TBH , it's difficult to tell the time with silver hands and silver dial and I will probably flip it. With hindsight i'd have been better buying either a blue or green dial version
Tbh the green isn't that much better dial and hands.
Band is so much nicer than the solar options.
I think it's better than the new all steel ones (positive display, light weight, not so blingy) My only concern is if that bezel will indeed resist scratches. Would it look as nice after a year of daily use?

dont understand why this model doesnt have solar or bluetooth? cheaper plastic one have it and the full metal one has it. dont like to spend twice as much money for full metal one because dont like metal bands because how cold they get in winter time. this one would be perfect if it had solar and bluetooth like others have

I have ga 2100 1A, after some time, the resin band has a very slight gap with the watch case (not as tight as before)...does the gm 2100 also have the same problem?
I don't think so.. i've been using gm2100 the green version for a month or so..
My ga2100 still tight as before.. been using it since 2021

I’m torn between buying the green or the midnight fog….. which one do you prefer??? I’ve been pondering for a month and just can’t decide. And before you ask I’m not getting both! Help!
Depends on your taste, me personally is using the green one for a month now more or less.. i chose the casioak metal bezel because i always wanted a watch where i can use for formal events ( but somewhere in between formal and casual, if you know what i mean? ) That's why i don't like the silver & black because it looks more casual for me.. my advice is that go for the one that would look good with your daily outfit 😉

The best Metal 2100? That's a big statement to say the least, no other Gshock has called my attention like the GM2100B-3A that beautiful green watch is 🔥 gotten so many compliments since I purchased my first ever Gshock, that being said this brown model is calling my attention, but in all honesty, can it dethrone the GM2100B-3A?

It's gorgeous, it looks brilliant, it's a shame that it doesn't last over time... From what I've read about Quartz watches, I'm somehow deflated. Automatic watches last a lifetime, but quartz watches last for a maximum of 10 years and the mechanism breaks down. I am a big fan of G Shock, I have 3 pieces, I stopped at 3 for this reason and I don't think I will continue to buy quartz watches.
They can change the case material all they want, the dial is still butt ugly. AP Royal Oak didn't became famous only because of the hexagonal shape. 😄
