This process is typically how I approach every illustration I animate.

I believe it's only for those who have advance knowledge of working with After Effects.
this is asctually very basic stuff. it will take a lot of time to animate this, that is why she is speeding up the masking. but other than that, it is pretty basic and if you try it, it can be a great excersise yo get used to animating.
Definetly not! It's time consuming but the methods are relatively simple :)

@@EmoneeLaRussaTutorials Can I please have the keyword for the technique in After Effect so that I can find video to learn it? Thanks so much
Don’t doubt yourself. Never. Give it a couple tries, noobie out then come back and achieve greater heights! 💪🏽
Honestly thank you so much for this content. I was looking for something like this that WASNT a 50 minute tutorial. Sweet and to the point. Keep applying pressure 😈👌🏼👌🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
YAY!! Dope! Yeah I think if I were to make a 50 min tutorial it would take me weeks to create it!
Yaas 💯%
✨✌️
The render sound effect was a nice touch in the intro
THANK YOU!!
For some reason it scares me
@user-pi9de6nq5l Yeah, I thought it was my laptop in front of me 😂, but I was like "What, was I rendering anything already"😂😂
@@EmoneeLaRussaTutorialsThanks for the tutorial and the extra "if you don't that, you can use this and that, really helpful!"
This was so dope! Love the vibrance of piece and the way that you were able to build on that in the animation!
Seeing other artists' workflow is always a treat. You're the best!
🙌🏽
That really means alot!! Thank you!!!
Thanks for putting this out! I've been looking for a tutorial on this type of thing for a while and this is the best one I've seen so far :)
I’ve been wanting to try this kind of animation out!! Really cool vid. Subscribed!

YAY! So glad this helped
Love the work and the way you explain it! Thank you so much ❤️
Wow the region of interest / crop comp to region of interest bit is actually life-changing. Thanks for this!!
Glad it was helpful!
This is amazing Emonee! Thank you!
You go girl! Just what I was looking for. Thank you!!!
Great tutorial, but ot would've been great to see the finished product in a closeup at the end
The closeup of the finished animation is in he beginning
Switching from procreate this is another level... so much to learn
Thank you for sharing 👍☺️
Mad respect Emonee. Very inspiring.
The little details are making a big difference. Nice drawing.
AMAZING INSIGHT INTO YOUR PROCESS THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
sweet baby jebus, when you removed the eyes that was creepy.. Thanks so much for this content though it was exactly what I was looking for!
Wow this is insane, I use Blender to animate still images and its cool to see different ways of achieving similar effects esp wavy stuff since there's a modifier in Blender that makes it simpler. Trying to learn how to make them blink and animating hair strands are a pain though in Blender.
Could you recommend any guides to animate illustrations in blender?
Your intro and outro are so dope!
Thank you so much for making this !!!
Amazing work! Thank you for sharing✨
This is amazing so insightful you do great work
Could you provide us with a written step by step tutorial?
You are inspiring!!! THanks
Nifty! I've been curious about this but never knew how the magic happened.
That was a great tutorial, way better than I had expected to find!! (Also your hair is fabulous, but that was more of an afterthought 😅 )
Watched a few of your videos (after seeing your sneaky dog-in-a-video post over on Reddit). Really nice, approachable tutorials, you've earned my sub, keep up the good work!

Amazing video! I'll try to learn it to apply on some future job
After watching some videos of people doing such a thing, I ask you illustrators: PLEASE help the animators and make the stuff in layers xD amazing work
Omg. I want to start learning animation for so long. And your video is awesome! I need start asap:) I’ll check your another video

AHHHHHH!!!! I HAVE TO CELEBRATE!!!!!!!!!!!
Its amazing
Very detailed video, thanks!
This was amazing! Multi-disciplinary women like yourself are so inspiring. I'm learning AE and C4D so this was perfect
Bro do you know, what that art is called, I mean that illustration, like vector etc, because I want to learn that, and don't the style name
@@infinitetube4778 it's definitely not vector. A vector is a scalable file composed of math, shapes, and lines whereas a lot of digital art are raster files, as in images made up of pixels. The art looks like it was made in a raster program like Procreate or Photoshop. As for the actual style, ehhh... I'd call it your everyday run-of-the-mill Pinterest girl art posted on IG lol
Wow! This is so cool! Subbed!
Nice process! I've been meaning to try this for a while. Got some good tips here.
thank you!!!
I love this, thanks for sharing
This is so cool! Hopefully i can use this soon when my art is ok

COOL! Very Interesting!
So you drew the step-by-step animation for the eyes blinking?
QUEEN.
Awesome Just Awesome♥
Love these! Keep going off 🔥
YASSS!! Thank you!!!
That's a sneaky "render complete" sound effect you threw in there..
My brain went on a loop there for a moment. (...but I don't even have after effects open...)
Thank you!! So helpful
This was super interesting!
Thank u fot this, I always want to do that and now I knok how ⭐⭐
I cant wait to see what you come up with!

Amazin stuff !
thank you so much!!
wow big job !!! u have patience !!! ❤
I love your work! amazing
Thank you so much!
@@EmoneeLaRussaTutorials how did you animated those eyes and made it blink? Can you please explain it in laymen terms i want to make something like this
I just start digital painting and i see time flying only trying to do the most basic stuff haha. How long you took to finish all that?
I loved the final result! But you could have shown it longer and more detailed on the videos.
Thank you for this tutorial! But I would like to know how you have animated the eyes? Methods I’ve seen from other people are mostly using puppet tools then mash the eyes for an blinking effect. However, since you have pre-drawn the eyes, I wonder how do you make the transition from image to image continuous and flawless? Also what exactly are the hourglass ⌛️ (at 5:14) shaped icon used on the timeline similar to keyframe? Thank you for answering!!!
The eyes animation looks like it's been animated frame by frame, meaning different drawings for each step of the blinking.
amasing
I know I all ready commented but genuinely thanks for posting this video, I honestly thought I'd made myself some super long winded wat of doing things and I was convinced everyone else had some magic trick lol nope just is time consuming
I do things a little different to you tho don't know if it will help you or not but what I do is the parts I wanna move well bigger parts like say I wanna move arms or hair I actually cut them out in Photoshop and copy and paste them in to a new Photoshop document then blend in the holes and bring in each individual pics later rather than masking everything
don't know if it's faster or if it's just what I'm used to haha
Fascinating
So helpful! Thank you!
YAY! I'm glad it helped :)
Ninja level!!👀
Amazing work :)
Thanks a lot!
That's great plz show final results in last.
Thank you
Awesome!
thank you so much!
Thanks!
Amazing
Thank you! Cheers!
May i know which version of After Effects that you use? Nice video :D
Gives me motivation
I understood nothing, but that’s ok cause I’m just starting :’D that was a really interesting video!
I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are goooood
Super talented
So good.
Thank you so much!!
I've never seen a more inane explanation
Wow! I should hire you all!
Wow I want to learn all of this but I don’t even know where to begin 😭 I understood the first parts but then I just didn’t understand the tools or the techniques any longer lol
awesome tutorial if not a bit rushed!
