    I have a very fundamental understanding of RF (even though I got a B.S. in E.E,. more than 20 years ago); that said, I thought this was an excellent presentation in order to help me understand the basic difference between analog, and vector signal generators; keep up the great work.

    How signal generators are protected from high return power cases ? Is there any tips to identify the signal generator conditions(safe operation or critical) during run time?

      Signal generators from Rohde & Schwarz have a reverse power protection circuit that trips and displays a message on the screen if the reflected power levels are too high

      @@pauldenisowski Thanks for the great video. I read the specification of an RF signal generator. in the frequency section, it said about "setting time", honestly, I don't understand it, could you explain it to me, plz?

    What is the typical 'Ref In' frequency used in benchtop signal generators and analysers

    Why do we need to study signal generator?

    • @pauldenisowski
      @pauldenisowski Před 2 lety +4

      RF test and measurement generally involves generating and/or analyzing radio frequency signals. In many cases, tests require a controlled and configurable RF source. This applies for everything from basic tests like SINAD or filter measurements all the way to things like 5G, Wi-Fi, satellite, and radar signals. It's important therefore to understanding what signal generators are, the different types (e.g. analog vs. vector) of signal generators, and how they work. Most of the content in this video (and indeed, in all of my videos) is designed to answer frequent questions we get from customers. Hope some of it was helpful!

      @@Rohde-Schwarz Thank you so much! It’s a great video again, I have a question that is not relative to this video and your brand products but it's about IQ Modulation. I am reading the Specifications and Performance Verification of TSG4106A, I understand most of the parts but “Output level accuracy (IQ
      modulation relative to CW)” part (on page 21). Even I have tried to read some papers relative to IQ modulation but I still can not get it. If you get a chance, could you please explain it to me?
