- This video shows how to program keyless entry remotes (if factory equipped with keyless entry) on a 94 or 95 Dodge Caravan, Grand Caravan, Plymouth Voyager and Grand Voyager as well as Chrysler Town & Country. This same procedure may apply to other models and years as well.
In the video, I did forget to mention that you do need to have all remotes present for the vehicle including those already programmed. Once you enter programming mode, all previous remotes are erased and will need to be readded in the same session. These vans can accommodate up to 4 total remotes.

If this is like other system I've worked on, grounding that wire clears the memory. All remotes that worked previously need to be reprogrammed at the same time for them to continue working.

Factory installed
If your 94 or 95 doesn't have that connector, you do not have factory keyless entry. As long as you have power door locks, most stereo shops have alarm systems that will interface with your factory power door locks.

The procedure for a 97 is different. To program yourself, you will need an already programmed remote. If you do not have a remote that is already programmed, see your local locksmith. Remotes can be purchased online, and most automotive locksmiths will program them for you for a fee.
So does this work without having a key fob thats already programed
Yes, you do not need a preprogrammed fob. I bought the van without a fob. And programmed 2 to it.
