Thanks for the video, I just bought a 1996 2500. I was under the hood today and on the main road support (with the stickers about r134a etc) there was a sticker saying warning, vehicle equipped with command start, if working on the vehicle turn box under dash to off. So I took a look under the dash, but I had no idea where it was or what it looked like. I'll take another look tomorrow, it would be nice to have remote start and keyless access.
To much work just jump pin 1 and 4 on data link turn on ignition to on doors will lock then unlock then push any botton on fob doors will lock then unlock. Then pull jumper out then turn key off. Done
That is a nice looking truck, love it!

Do you need to hold it on the ground wire the whole time or just tap it
Thanks
Where did you find that piece of paper that told you it came factory equipped
What year is this truck? Trying to figure out if it was even an option on my 1995.
1997
Well thats a fine bowl of cherries. I have a 98, now what?

Two different systems, doesn't work on the 94-97. Its for programming 1998 and up...
@@Onry1 work on my 97
@@ooooooo846 Depends on production date also...
How did you disable your buzzer?
I'm pretty sure mine just stopped working lol. I believe the buzzer is behind the fuse panel cover on the driver side.
@@logant724 I'm just curious. Could you replace the buzzer with the dinger (98-02)
98-02 mo par remotes are a little easier. Just jump to pins 1 and 4 on the obd connector.
@@oldcroneysgarage9739 Idk, probably not. Rare
@@oldcroneysgarage9739 Yes. I have a chime instead of a buzzer now. It was an option.
Not the correct way to program the remote
Make a video, show us how
@@logant724 I have too much going on I don't have time to mess with it.
