The brand's best-selling crossover brings more refinement to the table with the same value considering all its features, but is that enough to possibly unseat the segment king - the Toyota RAV4? @Jonathan Losito Doug's personality annoys me. Throttle house is okay and Matt Maran does a decent job. Straight Pipes is pretty good though. But I prefer Alex as well as Sofyan Bey and SavagaeGeese - I do suppose it depends on what vehicle segment you like to see reviewed.
That's the nice thing about all of these channels..... something for everyone. You're bound to find at least 1 or 2 channels that cater to your preference and that's not even mentioning other channels like Raiti's Rides, EverydayDriver, and of course TFL or smaller market channels like Gold Pony, Driven Car Reviews With Tom Voelk, Forrest's Auto Reviews, MikesCarInfo

Does it have a sport setting on the cvt? I’d trade the heads up display for that.
I’m in favor of the paddle shifters to offer more control engine breaking downhill and holding revs higher on backroads and in weather. Less about acceleration more about control. I have an outback and murano, though murano is far nicer and larger engine, I can’t tap into it because it lacks paddles. Nice add by Nissan. Though I’m not a fan of cvts the paddles are a much needed addition....and certainly an improvement.

There are some people who have had major issues with several Nissan vehicles, the maxima isn’t as common to have issues with. The generation Altima you mentioned specifically had an issue with the dashboard melting, and the newer nissans with a first generation CVT transmission developed by Jatco were known to fail mainly in the Altima and Sentra. Not all people will experience it as some vehicles are manufactured in different plants, but a lot of people were experiencing transmission issues, with the Sentra being the worst, followed by the Altima.

Yea for sport driving I could see wanting to push revs higher.. but for better MPG I would thing the smooth reaction of a true CVT would be better? Yes I once had a Prius and I quickly adjusted to a no shift drive.

The thing is for the same price as a rogue Platinum awd with pano roof and all the little addons you could get a 2020 Rav4 Hybrid Limited AWD New that adds tons of features unavailable on the rogue like cooled seats/rearview camera not to mention gets 42 mpg, 40 more horsepower, tows, higher clearance underbody, much quieter ride cause hybrid, can idle for hours in ev mode, toyota resale value makes any price difference pretty even and the gas mileage gain of 12mpg combine and 15 city will save 1000 a year. Someone please tell me why I am wrong?

I see that that model has the simpler drive modes than other videos showing a fancier mode wheel. I also do not see the information projected on the crystal in this node. but I am seeing that this model is the platinum which is supposed to be the highest or the most expensive. in the end what will it bring or are they just misleading videos?

Haha... Completely ironic. I was watching some of Alex's reviews and I saw in the comments someone noted to another viewer to check out TFL. Randomly chose this video and just my luck, it was one where Alex stepped in. lol

I just got my 2014 rogue totaled by the insurance thanks to a water leak that has been ongoing since day 1, but we never noticed because it was kept in the garage, till two weeks a ago when we had 4 days of rain and notice it. I would never buying another nissan product that it's assembled in the US. I had several Nissan assembled in Japan and Mexico never had an issue with them

Alex, very good review and lots of great information. Just wanted to point out a little something....do not say "also" and "as well" in the same thought because both mean the same thing, so it is redundant. Use only one or the other, but not both. :-)
