    Usually if the plants isn’t doing well and treated it so many times i do end up disposing it. Unless is one that i truly love and is an expensive plant aswell. But if they are a common find i would get another if really loved it.

    Schefflera arbicola never roots for me, but so many people have no problem with it at all!

    I’ve given up on syngoniums. They always seem to decline after a while.

      Omg I completely agree with you on that! I can honestly say all of my syngoniums have done that.

    I recently put my syngonium albo in a self-watering pot and it loves it. Your frosted heart and chiapense look great!

    Syngonium’s are actually pretty easy. Probably you should try not to use terracotta pots and also higher humidity and water more

    That sucks about the two syngoniums, but glad that the other two are loving their new spot! Hope your hoya doesn’t have those mites that keep attacking hoyas!!

    In my experience, schflerra cuttings take *forever* to root. I had one that took months to give me any roots.
    Also, I find that my syngonium like moist soil and lots of humidity. I add some peet to my usual potting mix and keep them near a humidifier.
    Hang in there!

      @mypetitegarden  Před rokem +1

      Glad to hear that ppl are saying schefflera cuttings take a while to root 😀 I think you are right about the syngonium wanting more moist soil.

      Thanks! The trellis is actually from a local small business but I think she also has an online store you can find her on instagram @growinshade 😀.

    Don't feel bad! I literally only own two Syngonium! Coincidentally, the Chiapense & Frosted heart! They seem to be the most hardy, but require too much attention/water!😆 BTW, I threw my entire Xanadu away after only two months! I don't have place in my life for all that negativity 😂

  • @kristathompson9888
    @kristathompson9888 Před rokem

    I don’t know what it is with pink Syngoniums and mealy bugs! My Neon Robust can certainly be a challenge with them. I really like the plant you put in the stratum but I missed what it is. Hopefully all your plants will be okay 💚

  • @averilt
    @averilt Před rokem

    Have you considered giving your plants slow release fertilizer pellets, or watering them with water soluble fertilizer? Traditionally syngoniums are quite heavy feeders and need lots of N to stay green and keep their leaves.

    • @mypetitegarden
      @mypetitegarden  Před rokem

      I normally add slow release plant food into my potting mix but it's probably been over 6 months so I started watering with water solubles and it seems to be helping.

  • @gabrieleweidhuner5727

    Sorry you had no luck with the 2 syngonium. Wishing you better luck with the rest of your rehab plants. As a plant mom too, it's always sad to lose plants, but we also need to know when to let a plant go.😥

    • @mypetitegarden
      @mypetitegarden  Před rokem +1

      Yeah its okay! We always expect some losses when we grow plants.

  • @sherryporsch9349
    @sherryporsch9349 Před rokem

    The schefflera will root in water but it needs high light an warmth, not the fastest plant to root. With the little mealies all you have to do it is hold the plant under running water an knock them off with your finger or use alcohol an q- tip. Would of been easy with two little leafs. I think your frosted heart an Cheapence looks pretty. 😍 The roots on the H. Lye looked good glad it’s pushing out leaves. 💚

    • @mypetitegarden
      @mypetitegarden  Před rokem +1

      Right now I have the cuttings on my south windowsill so hopefully it's already rooting. 🤞 I've done everything with the mealies, alcohol, castile soap, neem, you name it I've done it 😆 Next I might try the Bionide systemic granules that alot of ppl recommended in my last video on pests.

      @@mypetitegarden Yes the Bonide works great I put it in all philodendron, Monstera, an Anthuriums. Everything except Hoya. Hate for you loose the Syngonium Confetti it’s so cute, hope you can save it. 💚

    Hi I see tiny pebbles you put on top of the potting soil what are those? and its purpose?

    • @mypetitegarden
      @mypetitegarden  Před rokem +1

      I like to top dress my plants to retain more moisture since I use mainly terracotta pots & also to help prevent fungus gnats from getting into the top layer of soil. In this video I was using Bonsai Blocks as top dressing.
