I picked up a 03 DE manual coupe (with coils and an LSD w/sport package) for 5k at 205k miles and the interior and exterior is mint. Overall very happy it.
Bought a g for 28 n it got 170 on dash rn, I beat the shit out of it and it still runs great honestly surprising how much u can push a car if you just keep up on the oil changes and shit

Consider making your own tire sprayer to cool your tires and save money in the long run. Eventually redo suspension if you get the money and get wisefab suspension and lock kit with the wisefab sway bar relocation kit. Dual independent rear calipers with a hydro e-brake and some good slotted rotors and pads and go send it

5hp max on the airfilter but if you pair it with an exhaust you could be looking at +5% on what you have depending on restrictions and airflow and air temperature so I usually guess around with a intake and straight pipe with a sports car you’re looking at 15-20hp gains

That NA engine is gonna suffer from that “cold” air intake. It’s just going to suck warm air that the engine is producing. One way to do it is you get a shroud for the intake where it just covers the engine part and not the grille or just put the damn intake on a cooler place like in front of the radiator

Actually an aftermarket intake will make you lose power. Those plastic intakes are designed to dissipate heat are made heat resistant materials. Those aluminum intakes don’t do that and have a lower heat capacity

People loookin in the comments for the 30hp add on the intake have clearly never swapped an air intake on a factory car after changing things like an exhaust and tune. The 30 HP from a cold air intake is conservative.
Honestly I would skip most of this and just spend the money on a 2 way lSD and maybe coilovers. After that it's all about seat time

Intake with a tune on a high horsepower turbo car like RS3 could get 30HP. But an N/A G with an intake is probably only going to get 5-7 if anything

i have a 03 g35 and i got a k&n intake and it only added 8 hp on the dyno so not that much power but it does sound amazing
u missed diff and subframe bushings, oil cooler, engine mounts, driveshaft, angle kit probs more

Actually an aftermarket intake will make you lose power. Those plastic intakes are designed to dissipate heat are made heat resistant materials. Those aluminum intakes don’t do that and have a lower heat capacity
I’m just going off what my friends have told me from their tune fbo e85 ported intake manifold DE/HR builds, that they can get UP TO 30 horsepower if you get the one routed to the grill
