I'm sure that Scrivner (is that how you spell it??) is fantastic, but if you're broke like me, I found a great tracker that works similarly to the one Kat mentioned early on in the video. It's called WriteTrack, and you can set your own deadline and gives you a word count to meet each day until your deadline, and adjusts automatically as you wrote more or less. It's completely free and I've been using it for my first novel since NaNoWriMo ended! (It also lets you combine your word count during NaNo as well!) *I do not own, nor is this sponsored by WriteTrack*

procrastinating writing by watching kat write is my mood rn. i've realised when i'm first drafting i wish i was revising and when i'm revising i wish i was first drafting....

For example, in the last one I wrote, that now is draft 2, it had 165k words. I wanted to take 40k, but I only managed to take 7 without feeling that I was taking important bits of the story . Now I'm letting people read it so they can tell me what they think, and guide me in what to take out, so we will see.
these videos inspire me a lot and actually made me write half a draft of a book so thank you (also i'm so jealous of your wall i love tangled and i'm pretty sure thats a scene from it so yeah i want that)

Totally understand the multiple editing passes...I do it all the time (If I'm always in an editing loop, do I ever need to query? ::laugh cries::) To the window!....no...TO THE WALL! xD I spent a few years in a block too, but AuthorTube has slowly been pulling me out of it because I use it as an accountability tool :p Happy to see your update, and best of luck continuing on revisions!
I really like your method of revising! Revising my last novel kicked my arse so hard I gave up because I put so much pressure on myself to fix those brackety bits (or just the bits that were totally wrong lol) and I never did! Good on you for having such a well thought-out plan :) All the best!
I can't even track revision word counts! I tend to focus more on time spent working on book than I do word counts otherwise it's so easy for me to get scared and run away leaving the pen and/or laptop behind!
I really like the bracket unpacking method. But, sadly, I can't adopt it. I use brackets for other very important things. lol! Maybe I can start using braces since I never use those. :3 Thanks for continuing these vlogs. Your energy's very encouraging. :D
I opened CZcams because I felt like a pile of garbage and was gonna rewatch a random old video of yours BUT THEN THIS WAS THE FIRST THING ON MY FEED AND I DIDNT HAVE TO SCAVENGE FOR A VIDEO TO MAKE ME FEEL BETTER okay I love these videos keep it up way to be productive I’m calm now

I love watching these videos. They make me happy and always get me motivated to work on my own novel.
