First, congrats on a great week! Second, If you want to see numerical progress without word counts, one thing I do is percentage progress. Since you know how many chapters are in your manuscript, it's easy to turn that into how far along you ate to finishing the book. My current WIP is at 78%.

NaNo can put me in a weird mindset too of output=progress. I did a whole pep talk on how I hope I don't fall into thinking like that again this year.

For your two computer revision methods, I do something similar, but I do everything in Scrivener by using the "snapshot" function in Scrivener to save my latest chapter on the right side, delete the main chapter in the scrivener file on the right and re-type/revise everything there.
Great job with the writing!

I do the same with the type-up! Except I print out a previous draft and make notes all over it and then type it out on Google Docs or Scrivener
Putting up a post-it for something you just finished so you can take it back down is valid.
Ugh I relate to the feeling that you're only making progress when adding wordcount. I love that little green bar on scrivener or the chart in NaNo.
The dark shot in the bedroom is aesthetic though so it work.

This year, I am not part taking in Nano Wrimo. I feel blessed. Because whenever I rush a book, it ends up being trash. But if I write slow, it turns out a lot better.

Haha I do the same thing! Where you open up a google doc if you need to full on concentrate on one section without jumping to somewhere else in Scrivener.
When I wrote my PhD thesis it was the most stressful moment, so you are brave to willingly write a book, lol!

The title of this Vlog seized my attention immediately. I was watching an authortuber using a KanKan board with a million post-its. I like your post-it method a whole lot better. I have a feeling you are going to kick-ass on editing the rest of your chapters 😁
Editing seems hard because there is less tangible reinforcement to keep you motivated. But you know every bit of progress you accomplish is a win!!
