Me, too! I spent my vacation week secluded in my sister's barn. I wrote 49,000 words in 7 1/2 days. First Draft done! Now, the 6 rounds of edits.

50k hell yeah! And ten years on CZcams Ohmygod. Congrats! And three consistent videos yay! And more writing weekly vlogs with writing topics sounds helpful! I’d love to see you talk about info pacing. Like info dumping in slow action or lots of action with lots of information they cant know possibly know yet, that kind of thing.
I think I’m going nanowrimo but I’m still not sure. I have joined a 21 day poetry writing challenge though so!

Ooh, I’m so excited for writing topic of the week videos! 😄 Something I’d love to hear your thoughts on is character motivations. It’s fun to come up with new characters and give them personality traits but I find it difficult to give them an interesting drive/ambition. Congrats on 50K by the way, it’s a great milestone! 🥳

VERY pumped to hear your sit-down writing discussion videos! Particularly the fanfic one (lol) just cuz fanfic has been something I've been into since my (pre)teen years before and when discovered I was a closeted youth and you finding discovering and loving it has been so cool to see! As for video topics, I know you've previously discussed maybe talking about different story structures (like 2 Act or 4 Act maybe?) and I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on that, particularly if you've read anything from international friends or academic educator type people regarding non-Western formats. (I realize that might make you uncomfy since its a bit out of your lane, hence the suggestion of international friends and/or academic educator type peeps)

ooh that'd be a good topic, especially because i tend to blend genres which is where it gets a little tricky XD
in your "my experience writing fanfics" video, i'd love it if you could talk about your thoughts on how fanfiction/its authors are being integrated into more mainstream media? and by that i mean how former fanfic author are now new york times bestselling authors of their own original series - ie marissa meyer, tamsyn muir, etc - and how many former fanfics - ie fifty shades of grey, after, etc - are now new york times bestsellers? because as someone who does still actively write fanfiction and is planning on making it into a career, i'm always interested to hear the thoughts of someone else who writes both original works and fanfiction as well!
ooh this is a good discussion point! my basic opinion is that I LOVE IT. two of my FAVORITE fic authors had novels sort of "break out" and get popular this year and i am THRILLED XD i honestly think it would shock most people to know how many trad pub authors either started in fic or are currently writing fic under a pseudonym because it's WAY MORE than they'd assume.

if you mean the overall wordcount goal tracker, that's under the "project" menu. there's a selection that says "show project targets" (though i use an older version of scrivener, so i'm not sure if that's different in the current version!) and if you mean the chapter progress charts, i tweeted about how to do that here: twitter.com/kat_tastic/status/1044974376456577025 (again, i use older version of scrivener, so not sure if still accurate!)

Congrats for the 50k! I have a question. Where I can find de chart in scrivener? I want to see how many words per chapter I have written and I am getting crazy looking for it. Thanks
i tweeted instructions for that here: twitter.com/kat_tastic/status/1044974376456577025 (HOWEVER i use an older version of scrivener and i've heard the current version is different!) you also have to have word count targets for each chapter for this to work the way i show it (in my version of scrivener there's a circular target on the bottom right side of the page that you click to set these goals)
